It's not a couple of swears, it's the complete bastardisation of the script. They actually change a character's personality by changing what they say. They made what's his face from BakaTest seem like a raging homophobe when really he was just confused and uncomfortable about that stuff.
Plus, they made one of the girls seem like a real bitch with how they phrased what she said. I listened. She didn't say half the things she did. It's frustrating, rather than funny.
Nope, Bakemonogatari isn't that original anyway. Especially in presentation. I felt like I watched it years ago and I was right-- it is SoulTaker for otaku.
Heh, reverse psychology doesn't work on me. You could probably ask any of my friends, I'm like a 10 year old child when it comes to these things. If someone tells me go right, I will go left. So more often than not, when someone tells me to watch something, I don't.
And yeah, I like Angel Beats. I wish KyoAni did it, though, but if they did, it might have been 24 episodes of melancholy prettiness over high tension action.
I don't generally watch anything anybody tells me is excellent. In fact, probably the fastest way to get me to not watch something is to tell me it's good.

Pardon the randomness. :)

Nope, I am waiting for decent subs for Arakawa Under the Bridge.
