I will start by saying that Yukari Ichijo is a genius regarding storytelling. Just as expected from someone from the "Year 24 Group". That said, the argument of the book about people from very different backgrounds trying to acquire similar goals is enticing. My problem is the premise behind the creation of the character: the author wants to convey the message that if you are pretty and rich, you are good and if you're poor you are somewhat doomed and evil (maybe a punishment from the gods?). Something that is rarely true in reality. Wealthy and beautiful people are kind of cxnts let's be honest. ...

Preliminary (19/26 eps)
Character's arc is well structured. I'd prefer it if it have more room to develop a bit more about Miyu's struggle throughout the series just like in the OVA rather than the episodic monster-of-the-day routine. It feels like a mixture between the popular series of that time: pokemon, the way the monster is presented, magical girl, the addition of a cute bunny-like magical creature and the big bow at the end of her attire.

Art is incredibly beautiful and simple style. Simple colors and original character design that's what caught my eye at first. Unfortunately, it doesn't really make up for the terribly slow no-plot episodes.

Sound. I think they overused the resource of listening to the character's thinking. Besides being incredibly slow-paced, you found this scenes one after another with a character talking to herself.

Characters are pretty ...

I've been an anime fan since the early 90s so it doesn't bother me this type of art. I actually prefer it simple! New anime art seems a bit off for me.

Rumiko Takahashi is a master of storytelling and character development. It took me a while to get to watch this anime because I first felt discouraged about the argument. Oh boy! I felt so grateful to give it a chance.

I've never been so caught up in a series of hers after Ranma 1/2. I gave it a try to Inuyasha and I got bored. Urusei Yatsura is pretty cute and on the funny side ...
