"Kakegurui" is an anime that promised to be a psychological thriller centered around gambling games but ultimately turns out to be a disappointment filled with repetitiveness.

The protagonist, Yumeko Jabami, is a compulsive gambler with no goal other than to bet money on increasingly absurd and improbable games. Her personality is inconsistent and poorly developed. The other characters are stereotypical and lacking charisma, and their games often rely on trivial tricks or arbitrary rules. Furthermore, it can be said that all the characters are the same, as they all share the same obsession with gambling and a sadomasochistic attitude towards it. None of them think or ... behave differently, despite being in a school with hundreds of students. How is it possible that all the students have the same personality without any nuance?

The anime only shows exaggerated expressions and orgasmic reactions of the characters while playing, without creating any tension or suspense. Additionally, for a series centered on gambling, there is no real tension because the only thing at stake is money, which has no value for the wealthy academy students.

I have nothing against gratuitous fanservice, quite the opposite! But in this anime, it's excessive. It's as if every twenty seconds, they remind you that the students are going through a hormonal storm, as if you could have forgotten that fact.

"Kakegurui" fails to meet expectations and, in my opinion, boils down to a series of senseless erotic scenes. In the anime, they couldn't achieve a good mix of emotions, which should have been the series' strength. Excitement, fear, and risk are excellent ingredients for creating a captivating and engaging work if used with skill and balance. Transitioning between these emotions is easy and intriguing, especially with gambling involved, as it can quickly shift from joy to sadness and even excitement. However, those behind this production don't know how to create atmosphere and tension or make the characters and situations believable and interesting. Despite having these three factors as a foundation, they failed to deliver anything good.


The drawings and animations are well taken care of but this really isn't enough to save a work. Another positive point I would say is the opening which has a very catchy song and the video in which you seem to be going on an "acid trip" I love it, but I don't remember the various pieces of music that make up the soundtrack of the opera (I was probably too busy seeing girls' orgasmic reactions)

In conclusion, "Kakegurui" is an anime not worth watching as it offers nothing original or appreciable apart from the characters' orgasmic reactions, but if you want to spend some time watching a very banal, well-animated ecchi without thinking, I highly recommend it.

The co-protagonist, the vampire in 'Call of the Night,' Nazuna, is a distinctive feature of the work. Her design is incredibly captivating, with elegant lines, an enigmatic appearance, and excellent handling of physical features traditionally associated with vampires. Nazuna embodies the mysterious and seductive charm of vampires.

Beyond her visual design, Nazuna is also a well-characterized character. Her multifaceted personality and her relationship with Ko Yamori add an interesting dimension to the story. Nazuna is not just a fascinating vampire but also a complex individual with her secrets and desires. This character characterization, combined with her breathtaking design, makes Nazuna a central element of the attraction of 'Call of the Night.'

Another aspect that makes this work truly enjoyable is the presence of well-executed comedic scenes. While the story deals with serious themes such as love, identity, and the supernatural, in the midst of all this, there are masterfully inserted light and humorous moments that capture the characters' humor. The extravagant situations that Ko and Nazuna find themselves in, along with the eccentric supporting characters, provide comic relief that makes the reader smile. These comedic scenes help to break the tension of the plot and add a touch of lightness to the work, making it even more engaging.

It is important to be honest in reviews and share one's opinions, including the potential issues that can be found in a work. Objectively, the work is not fantastic.

Despite the many strengths of 'Call of the Night,' there is an aspect that cannot be ignored. Some viewers may perceive inconsistencies in the plot, and towards the end of the first season, the show becomes forced and simplified. One aspect that the series fails to develop satisfactorily is the conflict between the Protestant English and the Vatican, which only serves to create situations of confrontation between the characters but lacks real relevance in the story being told. The series does not explain the motivations and consequences of this rivalry well, making it superficial and uninteresting. Additionally, some of the antagonists' dialogues are unoriginal and repetitive, often fixated on the same concept, episode after episode, without showing other facets or emotions. These dialogues make the characters less credible and interesting.

In conclusion, "Hellsing Ultimate" is a good anime that stands out for its horror and action style, with a charismatic protagonist and high-quality animation. The series does have flaws in its plot and character development, but they don't detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the work.

"Death Parade" is an anime that addresses the themes of life and death with a fantastic sensitivity and poetry. It's not a story of heroes, anti-heroes, and villains but of human beings with their emotions, secrets, and choices. Each episode introduces us to two people who awaken in a mysterious bar called Quindecim, where they are greeted by Decim, a white-haired, blue-eyed bartender with a cross in the center. Decim is one of the judges who decide the fate of souls after death by forcing them to participate in a random game that tests their nature and morality. However, these two people have no memory ... of their previous lives or how they died.

"Death Parade" is an anime that leaves a strong impression. With impeccable direction, evocative cinematography, and an engaging soundtrack, it prompts us to reflect on the meaning of existence and the value of relationships. It may not be for everyone, but those who watch it are deeply moved. The series takes its time to explain the rules of this world beyond life and to introduce us to the characters who inhabit it. Decim has an assistant with whom he does not share the same ideas about how judgments are made. The series doesn't reveal itself immediately; it takes some time to understand the dynamics of this strange world and to get into the story, which is based on both the games and the interactions of the various characters. Until that moment, we follow Decim in his role as a judge and try to understand the criteria by which he decides whether a soul deserves heaven or hell (the anime explains the meanings of heaven and hell very well).

The main setting of the series is Quindecim, the mysterious bar where deadly games take place. It is a suggestive location appropriate to the theme, creating a contrast between the elegance and sophistication of the establishment and the tension and anguish of the protagonists. Dark, blue, and black tones dominate the scene, evoking death without making the atmosphere too gloomy or depressing. In fact, there are touches of color and light that lighten the mood, making the setting very evocative.

In my opinion, this work is a beautiful psychological anime that explores and conveys feelings related to life and death.

Personal Note:
I do not agree with those who say that the secondary characters are poorly characterized. Practically every episode introduces two new guests who must be judged, and in just 20 minutes, we get to know their emotions, lives, and relationships. I find this to be impeccable writing and directing work.
I think it is these characters that give strength and variety to the series, showing us the different facets of the human soul and the different reactions to death. Each pair of guests tells us a different story that engages us and makes us reflect. I think it's unfair to reduce these characters to mere extras or stereotypes. Furthermore, these characters are not just passive witnesses but play an active role in advancing the plot and questioning the judgment system and the emotions of Decim and his assistant.

In conclusion, watch the series; you won't regret it. Four hours of your life well spent.

"High-Rise Invasion" is an anime adapted from the manga "Sky Violation." The series tells the story of Yuri, a high school student who finds herself in a world of skyscrapers connected by suspended bridges, where she must escape from masked men who want to kill her or make her commit suicide. Her goal is to reach the tallest tower in the city, where she hopes to find her older brother.

The anime presents itself as a thriller, horror, and splatter with elements of action and mystery, but it fails to convince for several reasons.
First of all, I'll start with a small rant: the ending of the ... series spoils the identity of the sniper-mask, thus ruining the one and only mysterious character in the series. This is an example of how the anime lacks attention to direction and scriptwriting.
Everything is based on excessive and out-of-place fan service, making the female protagonists sexual objects and diminishing their credibility as real characters in a series of this kind.
Furthermore, the characters are stereotyped in a very crude manner. The protagonist will meet a girl at the beginning of the series, and from the way she dresses and her hair color and style, you'll know exactly how she will behave and what her role will be in the story, failing to evoke empathy or interest from the viewer. The plot is inconsistent, borrowing elements from other more famous works and not explaining the motivations behind the characters' actions very well.

The positives of the work are few and not enough to save the product. You can appreciate the ability to create suspense and involve the viewer in an extreme and mysterious situation, the consistently fitting music, the energetic opening, the technically well-done action scenes, and the character designs. Additionally, the anime skillfully blends various genres, such as action, drama, horror, and mystery (except for the unfortunate sniper-mask).

In conclusion, "High-Rise Invasion" is an anime that doesn't meet expectations and disappoints due to its low quality.

In the anime, everyone is trapped in a world of skyscrapers connected by suspended bridges, constantly threatened by masked killers. Initially, it seems that the only way to escape is suicide or to move from one building to another by taking advantage of the suspended bridges between rooftops, as the staircases are walled off, and there is no way to descend to the streets.
However, as the story progresses, some characters develop special powers that could allow them to reach the ground and move from there. Still, no one seems interested in doing so, preferring to continue moving between the rooftops and trying to reach the tallest tower in the city from there rather than from the deserted streets. This behavior appears illogical and inconsistent, and it undermines the credibility of the plot. I might have missed an explanation for this, but I couldn't find any information about it on the internet.

If you're looking for an anime that makes you feel like you're playing a free-to-play smartphone game, then "Ex-Arm" might be the perfect choice for you! This anime takes you to a world where characters seem to have been intentionally drawn and animated poorly. Don't worry if you can't understand the plot, because even the characters don't seem to know it. Additionally, you can appreciate the lack of shadows and nuances that make objects and characters even more beautiful with that veil of perfection, angles, close-ups always and in any case with the same basic expression. In short, if you want an anime that makes ... you say "wow, it looks like they drew and animated it in an hour", then "Ex-Arm" is the option for you!

But don't worry, because even though the animators seem to have used advanced technology only to create visual chaos, there is still something to appreciate in "Ex-Arm". For example, the fast-paced action will make you forget that the characters seem to have the same facial expressions in every scene, and the soundtrack will make you forget the lack of emotion from the characters. If you need a break from the visual confusion, you can always have fun laughing at the grotesque details of the backgrounds and animation, which are so evident that they seem to have been made specifically to become memes on the Internet. In short, if you're looking for a visual experience that leaves you feeling like you wasted your time, then "Ex-Arm" is the anime for you!

On a serious note, this anime is a clear example of how advanced technology is not enough to compensate for a confusing plot and flat characters (in the literal sense of the word). But if you want to see how an anime series can fall apart, then "Ex-Arm" is the anime to watch! In summary, if you want to see an anime that has the potential to become a classic of the "so bad it's good" genre, then "Ex-Arm" is the anime I recommend you watch. Otherwise, you could save your time and watch something else.

It really hurts the eyes to watch it!

The series follows a pair of outcasts: a human and a vampire. The couple resides in a version of Earth where most of humanity is forced to live in a fortress. It is evident from the first few minutes that humans have been engaged in a decades-long conflict with the vampire race, which surpasses them both in strength and numbers. If it weren't for the use of a large spotlight in the center of the human fortress, and those that surround it, that center would have been destroyed years ago.

The war has led humans to prohibit all their "noisy" culture (music, movies, ... etc.) because "vampires have superior hearing," and therefore a hidden fear of music, especially, arises. Humanity is a closed, cold, and repressed society whose main goal is survival.

I find the soundtrack fascinating, and in this work, it has a greater importance than in other works because, as mentioned above, humanity does not listen to anything, and there are kids who don't even know what it is. In this regard, the anime manages to immerse you in this "mud" with a mix of soundtrack and real music in the film, simply perfect, just as excellent is the animation in general in all five episodes.

The two protagonists are well-written, and what they do is believable, which is a great merit of the work. They interact and live in this world. In these five episodes, the studio manages to tell a story that has a beginning, an end, and that is always interesting. It is not afraid to exploit dead times, such as that of a song played on the piano that could be a waste of time, here instead everything serves a purpose.

However, there is a problem with the characters' relationships. As already mentioned, the relationship between the protagonists is well-written and engaging, but unfortunately, the other relationships seem to be developed superficially and unconvincingly, if not even nonexistent. This represents a weak point of the work, as the relationships between the characters can be fundamental for the success of the story and for the empathy that the audience can feel towards it.

The series also suffers from a lack of depth in the world and the story that surrounds it. Viewers are thrown into a complex reality without many explanations, and there are too many details of the story that remain unknown or unexplained. Personally, I really liked the world created for this anime, in my opinion, they should have extended the series to fully experience the story and setting.

In general, "Vampire in the Garden" seems to be a series that has had production and writing problems. Although the result is a good product, and the animation is of high quality.
In conclusion, I can say that the plot of this work is original and exciting, it is definitely worth giving it a chance.

Plot: The city of Tokyo is under attack, as two teenagers have started placing explosive devices around the city and challenging the police to solve riddles online, with the penalty of various bombs exploding.

"Terror in Resonance" starts off with the best premises: the first episode is stunning and sets the stage for a psychological thriller that inevitably piques the viewer's curiosity. The story is set in Tokyo in this era, and everything is very realistic, but as the episodes progress, all the characters have illogical behaviors, and too many situations are questionable. I understand that compromises and forced plot elements are necessary in any work, ... but here, there are too many: gaping security flaws and one particular character, who, in addition to adding banality to a story that started off great, makes all the other characters react illogically and irrationally.

Apart from the first three episodes, as the story progresses, the series offers increasingly rushed and nonsensical explanations, plot holes, and questionable actions that accompany you for practically three-quarters of the series. It's a real shame that the screenplay and character development were neglected in a work that should have made them a cornerstone; with few main characters and virtually non-existent supporting characters, they could have certainly done a better job.

I watched the series twice because I thought it was me who didn't understand certain dynamics during the first viewing and that I had missed a masterpiece; as I mentioned, the first episodes were too captivating and objectively well-done, and I couldn't explain why there was such a "fall from grace," but unfortunately, the second viewing only accentuated the flaws.

The animations are of good quality, with realistic designs that fit the anime's realistic atmosphere. The soundtrack is also well-done, both the opening and ending, as well as the music that accompanies the viewing (I believe this is precisely why I watched it twice).

Conclusions: "Terror in Resonance" could be considered an incomplete work. The protagonists were also captivating, but they got lost trying to achieve something too ambitious, resulting in banality. I recommend "Terror in Resonance" to those who love crime with a story to tell; while not one of the best, the anime does ultimately convey a message.

The series focuses more and more on the fight against demons and the sacrifices that the characters must face to achieve their goals, with greater attention to the plot and the characters' stories.

The contrast between the two parts of the series may seem a bit abrupt or surprising to some viewers, as the transition from a cheerful tone to a darker one is rather sudden. However, this contrast contributes to emphasizing the importance of the themes addressed in the series and to giving greater emotional weight to the characters' stories.

Unfortunately, due to the time elapsed, I do not have a precise memory of the soundtrack of the work, however, the opening of the series is undoubtedly one of its strengths, able to immediately capture the viewer's attention.

However, the plot can be confusing in some points, and the story has some holes and unclear moments that can cause confusion and hinder a full understanding of the plot.

Overall, "Chrono Crusade" is a well-made anime with an engaging story and fascinating characters. Although it is not perfect, it has a unique atmosphere that makes the viewing experience very satisfying. I recommend this series to those looking for an anime with a dramatic plot and a strong emotional component.

It should be noted, however, that the representation of Christianity in the work is obviously not accurate or realistic. As Christianity is an important theme of the work, some representations and interpretations may be offensive to more conservative Christian believers. Therefore, if you are a very devoted and sensitive person on these topics, you should avoid watching "Chrono Crusade".
