Simply put, Mashle isn't supposed to blow your mind or do anything extraordinary. It exists to speedrun standard shonen tropes in a funny parody setting. For anyone looking for deep stories and worldbuilding... this ain't it. But as far as just pure fun and shenanigans go, this is as good as it gets.
It doesn't waste your time or blow its own horn, stuff just happens and the further it gets the more absurd and funny it becomes.
It's in no way the best anime out there, but it manages to combine the absurdity of One Punch Man and the generic character of every shonen ever

A whole lot of potential with this anime but unfortunately it's lasts only 13 episodes that don't do it justice fully.
A lot about this anime is good, from the art to the simple but lovable characters and a pretty good sound track too. The only real downside is how the story is way too large for just a single season or at least for just the 13 episodes that exist. We're left with the first 5 episodes where the actual story doesn't progress much, we get to meet the main cast essentially but after that most of it is thrown aside very suddenly. The main ...

The hate aimed at this anime is as usual just a rant from people that like to watch stuff they already know they won't like and than bitch about it.
Despite it having a lot of tropes (just like basically every anime does) there are quite a few redeeming qualities to this anime. The main character Anos is an overpowered protagonist but his character, which is remeniscent of Overlords Ainz Ooal Gown, is quite fascinating to watch as even tho you know he's somehow going to win, the point of these action sequences is not to put him in danger but rather progress the story and show ... |
