"A Whisker Away" is heavily focused on a Romantic Slice of Life being forcefully nudged by the supernatural. Whereas "The Cat Returns" more forcefully sucks you into on a thrilling adventure within the supernatural world. Anyone who has seen one and watches the other will immediately be able to see the parallels.
