I'm going to be straightforward here. Saying that Koe No Katachi is one of the best mangas I have ever read would be a cop out because Koe no Katachi is THE best manga I have ever read. I find it hard to say because it's a shounen that has no swords, no titans, no Death Note; but it has me on my seat regardless.
The story is well told. The mangaka doesn't spam you with useless knowledge nor does he/she have excess dialogue that a lot of shounen manga have problems with. I don't want to say anything about the events that take place
...
because just telling you what this manga is about would ruin 5-6 chapters. I say 5-6 chapters because, if I recall correctly, that's how long the prologue of the story is.
Characters are far from cliche. Characters feel like they're human and their behaviors are not forced. It also creates an uncertainty of how you think they will act. This entire manga is about character development so they're designed to like most of them.
In summary, I really love this manga. It is a true masterpiece. Every chapter has me on the edge of my seat, wishing I had a time machine just so I could read the next chapter. I hope you liked my review and enjoy the manga even more than I do.

Do we love what do or do we just do it because these activities are the only things we know in life? Do we do it for others or for ourselves? Why is that when competition gets mixed in with these activities, we stop having fun and it becomes stressful and frustrating? These questions are asked by Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso.
The story of this manga seems like a familiar one. A young high school boy with exceptional talent stops enjoying the piano. I really don't wanna say anything more than that because I feel like it would spoil a good story. I wouldn't say
...
that the story is cliche, but it is a familiar one. If it is a cliche story, I would be glad to say that it owns up to it.
The art is very good! I want to say that it has a style similar to a lot of shoujo manga despite actually being a shounen.
Unlike the story, I can't defend the character's personalities when it comes to being cliche. There's the childhood friend, the playboy best friend, and the girl that changes the protagonist's life.
Overall, I enjoyed this manga so much. It's easily a 9/10 in my book. I noticed that the current rating is less than an 8, which is probably because the manga is seldom updated so don't get fooled by it! There's an anime coming out for this manga so if you don't wanna get spoiled, just wait for the anime!

Magi: Sinbad no Bouken is a prequel to the Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It pulls the focus away from Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morgiana. However, don't fret. This prequel is very interesting!
Story - 9
The story focuses on Sinbad's past prior to being the bad ass that he is in the Labyrinth of Magic. The manga isn't complete and has only gone far enough to show his first dungeon conquest and his meeting with a familiar named person that allies him in the sequels. I really can't give a good rating on the story since only 11 chapters have been released, but when a manga has
...
me hooked, I believe it deserves a 9.
Art: 9
I really like Magi's art. It's a shounen that's a little bloodier than most shounens and I really like the way the mangaka draws the eyes of the characters.
Character: 10
I hate Sinbad. I hate how powerful he is. I hate how he steals the spotlight. I hate how he saves the day instead of Alibaba. Am I jealous? Yes. Although, as much as I hate him in the sequels, his character in this manga is amazing and incredibly likeable.
Overrall: 10
If you are a fan of Magi, read this. I'd say that this is even better than the sequels.

This review is for people wondering if they should watch the show. I'm not going to summarize the story because you have a synopsis already given to you.
Story:9
The story was great in my opinion. I actually didn't like the summary of the show because it reminded me of .hack, which is a good show, but it does not have a plot that interests me nowadays. Don't let the synopsis scare you away! I would like to add that during the beginning, the episodes are filler-like. Each episode had a different story, but the point of this way of story telling was to show how the
...
life of being trapped in a game would be. At first, I was even finding it hard to believe that this show was going to be about romance.
Art: 8
Not much to talk about in the art style of this show. The art deserved a 9/10 because of the many eye pleasing scenery. However, character design of the later half of the show had some negative feedback, which forces me to drop the score.
Sound: 8
The opening and ending music were good. During the show, I actually enjoyed the background music. Not much to complain about.
Characters: 7
The characters were good, but nothing great. The protagonist is a quiet strong type. Not wanting to have people slow him down, he becomes a solo player and the strongest player of the server. The female protagonist of this show was great, but... maybe too great. She's the typical beauty, who is good at every thing. She's strong, she cooks great, and comes from a wealthy family. Both characters were great and had almost no flaws, which makes them seem like they have no personality at all.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I enjoyed this show very much. I loved it. Every Saturday, I would get off from work happy because I knew a new episode of Sword Art Online was waiting for me. It had a good mix or romance, combat, and story.
Overall: 9/10
This show is great. Why do I see people giving this show 2/10's or 5/10's is beyond me. If I were to put myself in a hater's perspective, I wouldn't even find the strength to give this show any less than a 7. Maybe they didn't enjoy the show because it didn't follow closely to the light novel, I don't know. Maybe it was because this show is a harem in disguise. The only complaint I have for this show was the action. Don't get me wrong, I love the fight scenes, but the show didn't have enough of them! If they added 2-3 more fights in this show, I would've probably given it a perfect 10.

I feel that this anime deserves a better score. This isn't a detailed review, so if you're looking for one just skip this. However, if you're reading this review, wondering whether or not you should watch this show, I'm hoping that I can get you to ease your mind and give this show a chance.
Story= 8
The story wasn't anything special, but it was very enjoyable in my opinion. I failed to understand why winning the school election was so important that the antagonists would do what they were doing, which is the only thing that bothered me. However, I never found myself bored watching this
...
show.
Art = 8
The art wasn't amazing, but it's very difficult to give a 2012 anime anything less than an 8 unless if the art bothered me. Very close to giving it a 7, but I felt that it wouldn't be doing the show justice.
Sound = 7
The sound was good. It never really made any impact on me. The only reason I'm not giving this show a 6 in the sound department is because a certain character's harmonica playing made me actually want to buy a harmonica.
Characters = 8
The characters were great. I felt that certain characters needed more show time and revelations, but I don't think it would've been possible with the shows limited time. I feel that the main characters had great background stories to them.
Enjoyment = 8
Like what I have stated in the beginning, this show doesn't deserve its low score. Anything less than a 7.8 would've been an insult. My personal opinion is that this show deserves an 8.06 rating.
