This is just a masterpiece, the way Fujimoto tells his stories is just outstanding and i couldn't be more glad that he is setting a new generation of Shonen formula.

Story: even if Chainsaw Man's story is not something that shines for its complexity or deepness, it manages to create a simple but efective story, doesn't waste your time with filler or deviations like other nekketsu shonen's does, also it respects the reader and doesn't use expository stuff and rather it uses visual narrative and interpretation to build his characters and plot.

Art: Shocking artstyle and way to distribute panels, this might be a repetitive statement but ... Fujimoto's storytelling is brilliant and one of its strongest points is paneling, which sometimes he uses in creative ways that mixes with his grotesque artstyle, the way he creates atmosphere and feelings just with his drawing is amazing.

Character: At first you probably wont like the cast that much but that is the point, they grow on you just like they do with Denji, even if some people say there are a waste of potential on them i couldn't disagree more, they way Fujimoto develops his characters is simple but strong enough to make an impact to the reader, it's smooth and doesn't feel forced or rushed even if the manga has fast pacing, which doesn't bother it characters development, because it manages to make pauses whenever it needs to, this way the characters really grow on you overtime.


Enjoyment: as i said, it respects the reader and doesn't make you feel like you wasted your time, pacing is gorgeous and the way every "mini arc" changes to the next one is so smooth that you won't notice it at first, doesn't use a lot of text so the pages just flow extremely fast, also it's ridiculous amount of fun and very creative action makes it a really fun read.


Overall: probably my favorite story of all time not just in manga/anime, you really should give it a try and the anime if Mappa does a well job it's gonna be a modern masterpiece, just an amazing fun and heartwhelming (sometimes) story that everyone should read.
