Nana is simply so true, real. Its greatest quality is being able to identify the viewer with most of the characters, every situation they face, both sweet and sad, every obstacle on their growth path will seem so close to us, because many of us face in the adolescence what they go through. Friendship and love are the center of Nana, everything revolves around it, they are the cornerstones from which the bonds between the various characters come to life.
The two protagonists are exactly at the antipodes. Nana Osaki is reserved, Nana Komatsu is outgoing. The first makes friends very difficult(also because of her external
...
appearance that leads superficial people to move away), the second with ease. We can say that they are the example of "the opposites attract each other". Their attraction, instantaneous, fulminant, happens during a winter evening on the train to Tokyo. This is how the story of the two Nana begins. Two completely different worlds that collide with each other will give life to a story made of joy, but above all pain, two people so different that over time will become inextricably linked. All the secondary characters will move around them, thus giving us a story that will leave breathless.
Are the protagonists, both primary and secondary, the strong point of the series. Their characterization is perfect. Will be shown all their doubts, their uncertainties, their thoughts, their fears, so that we can get a clear idea about each of them. This allows the viewer to understand what they are thinking and the reason for their actions. Through various flashbacks we will be shown their past and what led them to be as they are. This will be the starting point for their growth during the narration(although the growth of some will be clearer continuing the manga).
The art style, despite Nana is an old anime, is excellent and even who is most accustomed to HD graphics(ufotable studios style for example)
will not be disappointed, indeed the animations have aged quite well.
If I really have to find something that does not completely convince is the part dedicated to music. Blast's songs or concerts didn't impress, don't transmit a lot, the time devoted to music is not much(especially referring to some recent anime whose main topic is music), and this leads us to think that music is not a main theme, although many protagonists are part of a band.
Nana will make you think about many things concerning the everyday life, the relationship among the people, on your past and future actions,
it's an experience that cannot be missed.
