Seto no Hanayome is fast-paced, random and hilarious anime at its finest. It is one of the funniest animes I have personally seen and I've had to pause multiple times while watching due to uncontrollable laughter.

The story is about a young man named Nagasumi who's saved by a mermaid named Seto San and due to various circumstances related to her being a mermaid (and also sort of belonging to a triad family), he is forced into marriage with her. Throughout the anime you will meet absolutely hilarious characters including an overly protective father in law (think crazy triad leader obsessed with ... his daughter) and a cute little fairy type creature (looks can be deceiving!).

Basically it is a romantic comedy, with more comedy than romance, and the storyline suffers a bit from side tracking to different plots surrounding the different characters you meet along the way. There wasn't really a main plot in this anime, more like a collection of stories about Nagasumi and San's romantic adventures. However, this was absolutely a great thing because all the characters you meet are really funny and interact with each other quite well and in hilarious ways. Another thing I really appreciated about this anime was the fact that it did not have an overbearingly dramatic romantic plot line near the end like alot of romantic comedies you find nowadays (I find alot of these animes tend to be less funny near the ending due to this). Instead, the laughter wont stop until you finish the last episode with Seto no Hanayome.

If you are looking for a comedy with heavy amounts of romance in it, Seto no Hanayome is probably not for you, but if you are looking for a comedy along the lines of Azumanga Daioh, this is one you should strongly consider watching.

Uninhabited Planet Survive is basically a story set in the future where humans are forced to live in space colonies due to Earth being uninhabitable. It focuses on a group of children and their adventures when their space ship unexpectedly crashes during a school field trip onto an uninhabited planet.

Well, its a story of survival on a remote island after a shipwreck or a plane crash (think a child's version of Cast Away and Lost), but add elements of sci fi into it and you can imagine the basic premise of Uninhabited Planet Survive. Personally I really enjoyed the story of ... this anime, as it touches on many of the topics of actual survival in the wild if one was to unexpectedly find themselves stranded on a remote island (for example, having to find food, fresh water and shelter), but also had more fantastic themes often involved with science fiction, like monsters and aliens. However, this anime is obviously targeted at a much younger audience as all the characters are of elementary school age and as a result are oftentimes at an elementary school children annoyance level :p. The characters are realistic, although a little bit expected, with the typical rich brat, the classroom president type, the slow witted ox, the nerd, the girl that is always scared, the mysterious emo male, and the peacemaker (whom is the main character of the anime) and her pet robot.

Overall this anime is recommended to those of you who like stories of survival as well as discovery, but dont mind the characters being like your younger siblings. The real strength of the anime lies in its story, as the plot was well paced and you really get a sense of being part of this group, which is a lot of fun especially when they discover new things about the planet.

Well I just finished Darker than Black and enjoyed the series quite a bit, although I was a bit disappointed at the ending. Story wise it is solid, although like many animes, the intensity does not pick up until half way through the episodes, with the main plot taking a backseat to side plots. However, this was not entirely a bad thing, as I feel the main strength of this anime was in the characters and their individual stories. The action in this anime is solid as well, with many stealth, infiltration and fighting scenes throughout the anime, and the art is ... well drawn, if not spectacular. The music in it is good too, integrated well in scenes throughout the episodes. I recommend this to people who like action, mystery plots that also have a touch magical power to it. Animes I have watched that are most similar to Darker than Black are probably Ghost in the Shell and Trinity Blood. Overall i give it an 8/10!
