New Game!
Art/Characters: The art style that we see in New Game! is pretty generic when it comes to the basic details. However, the smaller details that the show takes advantage of are what really make this show stand out visually. I am referring to the shimmer in their eyes, the emotion when some characters feel apathy. The hair on each person’s head has a sheen to it that makes it look soft and bouncy. The folds in their clothing really make it feel like the illustrator had great care and wanted to make sure that the clothing would bend and crease as if it were
...
real clothing. The main character, Aoba, really stands out to me for her passion and excitement going into this new job that she only knows a little bit about. She is surrounded by equally energetic and somewhat timid co-workers. While Yun and Hajime are the stereotypical “excited-about-everything” characters, Hifumi takes a while to really get to know Aoba, as she is only really comfortable talking through Instant Messaging. As for Yagami, Her stern yet soft personality on Aoba really showcases her best traits and makes her fit very well with the cast of characters. The relationship between the two of them really makes the finale special.
Music/Sound: Being able to hear and listen to the music and sounds in this show really was a treat. The opening and closing songs really were a highlight that I enjoyed listening to week to week because it was so catchy and the animation of the opening was so cute and so enjoyable, I really struggle to say anything bad though, the sound direction of the episodes seemed to lack a little bit. I felt that there could have been more interesting sounds from within, and I really would have loved to hear more of the in-game music of the game that they are creating. However the background music often would fit the mood quite well and because of this I was getting more invested that I think I was planning on.
Story: Aoba has just graduated high school and got a job as a member of the art team for the game company EagleJump. As she prepares for her first day, she reminisces on her favorite game, Faerie Story which has also been created by EagleJump. When she finally arrives, her boss, Yagami, is the Yagami, as in the person who helped create her favorite game of all time and now she was going to work directly with her! The story follows Aoba as she explores what it is like to have a real job and what it is like to be an adult. From working with co-workers, to falling behind schedule, to even getting her first paycheck. Aoba sure has a lot to learn!
Personal Reflection: The concept of this show really made me excited. If I had even a shred of talent for game design, I would want to have an opportunity like Aoba. Because of this, I was immediately drawn to this show with eager anticipation of what was going to happen next. I feel the way Aoba learns and experiences things with her co-workers and friends really make the shows something special. There isn’t just the run-of-the-mill episodes happening, but they are unique and move the story along in a fantastic way. Thinking back on it now, it is amazing that such a deep and rich anime came from a 4-panel manga. Learning what it’s like to be an adult is not easy. I have lived in the realm of confusion, and to be honest, I still am. But like Aoba, I have people that are able to come alongside me and help me out with whatever I need. I think the reason I loved this show so much is it came at a time in my life that I could really relate to it, and because of that, it was something I would watch each week to take myself out of the confusion that is life. Lastly, I really loved the overarching story that happened through the entire show. There could have easily been just randomized episodes that could have taken place at any time, but instead New Game! embraced having only 12 episodes, and created a full story that was the perfect amount of fun, drama, excitement, and anxiety that I’ll probably watch it again before too long. New Game! is a show that deals strongly with the theme of growing up, but is relatable enough to be embraced by people of all ages. So if you love video games, and have ever wanted to be a designer, check out New Game!

Amaama to Inazuma (Sweetness and Lightning)
Art/Characters: The art style in this show can really only be described in one word: Cute. There is just something about this show’s style that makes it blur the line between cute and serious. There are a few things that I am not a fan of in principle, such as the exaggerated hair on Tsumugi, but those things are pretty minuscule when it comes to the overall art of the show. One of the things that are really well done would be the way that the food is portrayed. Because this is a show about food it just goes to
...
say that the food should look good enough to eat, and that is exactly what happened throughout this show, every episode ended with me hungry. As for the characters themselves, I felt that they had a healthy depth to them that made them easy to watch. There are a few things that don’t really makes sense, like how a grown man has trouble with a knife and what exactly is the backstory, but more on that later. Tsumugi is a cute and fun protagonist that showcases what it really means to discover and experience things for the first time. Her father, Kouhei, is a perfect portrayal of the loving father who just wants the best for his daughter. Kotori, the high school student of Kouhei’s, really is something out of left field for me. But her love of food is something that I can easily relate to.
Sound/Music: SO CATCHY. I love listening to these tracks time and time again because of how much fun I have just grooving to them. A good show knows when to be bubbly and happy, and in a show like this one, things can often get a little to over-bubbly and there is a loss of meaning in that joy. But not here, the sound director knew exactly what they were doing, and were able to create an atmosphere of joy, and importance in my heart. The music played in the background was even interesting and fun. The use of wind instruments along with a piano is a small change that gives a huge reaction. The sounds of the food as well! When there is meat going on the stove, we HEAR the sizzle. It looks great and it sounds great. And I am sure if I made it myself, it would be just as amazing. I was really brought into the restaurant as a welcomed guest with these sounds.
Story: Kouhei Inuzuka is in a pretty rough patch of his life. With his wife recently passing away and his young daughter, Tsumugi, is solely his responsibility. The main struggle so far has been food. He isn’t much of a cook and makes mostly TV dinners for Tsumugi. She eats them every night and doesn’t complain, but he can see it on her face that she wants something more. On the whim of a coworker, he takes Tsumugi to a restaurant that is a little off of the beaten path that is run by one of his student’s mother. Unfortunately the mother isn’t there, but Kotori does her best to feed them what they would like. Kouhei learns that Kotori’s mother isn’t there often and because of this she often eats alone. After some quick thinking, Kouhei and Kotori begin to learn to cook fun and delicious food for all three of them. As the show progresses the food gets more and more interesting and friends of both Kotori and Kouhei join the cooking party!
Personal Reflection: Call me crazy, but I am a sucker for stories about Dad’s beating the odds for their kids. That is the kind of dad that I want to be whenever I have kids. The Story of a father doing his absolute best that he knows how to make his daughter happy, and then choosing to cook with one of his students because he knows that it will make her happy just warms my heart. They cook a variety of meals that all look and sound delicious. I often want to make the meals that they make in the show, but often the recipes are missing something and I can’t. The characters are cute and fun to watch and it’s fun to experience things with them. There is an episode where Tsumugi runs into some trouble with her friend, but her dad is right there ready to help in any way possible, and the solution that he comes up with is just priceless. All that being said; there was a lack of true story. While episode by episode had a common theme, there was nothing overarching the entirety of the show to pull it all together. There was a main problem, food, and they solved it in each episode. While I love shows that are able to have this kind of “you-can-miss-an-episode” type of vibe, I really think they could have developed it better. If the source material provides it, I would love to see a second season. Maybe it is just me wanting to be a dad and seeing someone succeed so well makes me so happy, but the show left me wanting to watch these characters grow more. Amaama to Inazuma is a fun, lighthearted show about a dad just wanting his daughter to be happy.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re: Zero -Starting Life in Another World-)
Art/Characters: The art style of this show is pretty similar to the rest of shows in today’s anime. Being able to see the way the outfits of each individual character really made the world come alive. Even the characters that wear the same outfit each time they are seen, they still have a uniqueness to them that makes it seem non-repetitive. The colors here are also one of the most vivid and bright in any show that I have seen. The use of rainbows and different colors to focus on different characters make them
...
really stand out. As for each of the individual characters, they each had very real and very unique personalities that made the show really fun to watch. With Subaru at the helm and main characters like Rem, Emilia, and even Julius to some degree give the show a depth that is unmatched by any show I have seen thus far. I also really love the detail that the illustrators put into the little things, like being able to see the reflections of a person in another characters eyes. Subaru’s character concept, a NEET being ripped out of his life and placed in somewhere completely new, but is a little reminiscent of something like Familiar of Zero.
Sound/Music: The music of Re:Zero is some of the most memorable and enjoyable that I have heard this season. Being able to recall that stinger sound when every the moment was heavy and terrifying still brings a chill down my spine. There are also a few songs that stir emotions in me, but in the interest of no spoilers, I won’t say when those songs appear but there are songs that are so amazing that I still listen to them and I will continue to listen to them for a long time after. As for the rest of the sound throughout the show, it made the world so expansive and so fulfilling that I felt like I was truly part of the world of Re:Zero.
Story: In a phrase: one for the ages. I really had no idea what I was getting into when I watched the first episode of Re:Zero but the concept of a person, much like myself, could get removed from his life and dropped into a new place filled with new people, it just blows my mind. I have seen it done before, but not quite to this scale. The plot device of return-by-death is really interesting and really does a great job of blurring the line between RPG and Anime. Once Subaru has been dropped into this world, he happens upon a woman who has had her insignia stolen, and upon trying to help her find it, Subaru and the woman are very brutally murdered. As if that would be the end of the story, Subaru snaps out of a trance to speak with someone he spoke to upon arrival. Confused and lost, he isn’t sure what has happened to him, but he will do anything he can to change his future.
Personal Reflection: When you sit down to watch a new show a few things are taken into consideration. The poster art, the PV, how many episodes, the art style, etc. But for this, I knew next to nothing. I saw the art, “that looks cool” and that the first episode was split into two parts, “alright”. I anticipated it to be something similar to a show like Sword Art Online because of the fantasy setting, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The emotions that I felt while watching this show; the moments where my jaw would DROP because the credits began to roll at a cliff hanger. I was so invested and I loved it so much that I wasn’t able to shut up about it. The colors, the music, the sounds, the characters (I’m on Team Emilia by the way, haters gonna hate), and ultimately the world that I became a part of. I felt for Subaru because I have been in situations that make one susceptible to falling in love and doing absolutely everything possible to keep the ones you love safe. When things happen that break my heart, I go numb and can’t take my eyes away from the screen. There were literally times when the credits would roll and I couldn’t skip past them because I was in shock. While I absolutely loved this show, I would say there are a few plot holes and I am a little upset that they didn’t develop some characters as well as they did others, but I am hoping and praying for a season two to be announced soon. Please, please, please, if you haven’t already seen Re:Zero, watch it, love it, experience it.

Hatsukoi Monster (My First Love Monster)
Art: The art style in this show is pretty reminiscent of older decades of anime from the early 2000s/1990s, but seems to have a little bit of an updated feel to it, as seen in various characters. The thing to really look at here as a giveaway is the way that the eyes are placed and drawn, especially Kaho’s. The characters, individually, are all really great and the way that Kanade and his friends look makes for some pretty interesting dynamics between them and other kids their age. Each of the characters is easily defined and after an episode or
...
two it is easy to remember the differences, even though some of the facial structure and hair is similar. The colors present in the show are really interesting, the way that they use color, or rather an array of colors, to visually describe emotion through Kaho’s eyes, it makes the unspoken bond of the characters much more real.
Sound/Music: When the opening kicks in, it almost seems like the show is about to be set up as an action, but that is really far from the truth. Both the opening and closing animations and the songs really seem out of place, except when being used as a cliff hanger. As for the music within the show, I felt that it was really well done. The light and happy music was pleasing to listen to and never felt repetitive, while the more serious moments knew to keep quiet in most respects. I really enjoy when shows are able to know when it is appropriate to do that sort of thing. Thinking back however, I can’t say I remember a lot of other sound direction, which is too bad; it made me pretty detached from the world of the show.
Story: The story of Hastukoi Monster, in a nutshell, goes like this. Kaho, a first year in high school moving to a new home to be closer to her high school. Upon arrival she nearly gets hit by a truck, but before she could a savior of a man comes and pulls her out of the way, saving her life. She immediately begins to fall in love with her savior but he is relatively uninterested. Yet, the following day she learns that they are living in the same dormitory together. With all the courage she can muster, she confesses her love to this man and he replies that his name is Kanade and he will go out with her. Relieved that she has a boyfriend, Kaho thinks things are about to turn up for her, except for when she finds out that Kanade is a 5th grader who simply looks much older. The narrative continues for 12 episodes and explores Kaho trying to love someone as childish as Kanade while being mature herself. We meet a cast of characters like Kanade’s friends (who also look much older), Kaho’s schoolmates, and even Kaho’s creepy brother. How will Kaho ever make it through with her feelings?
Personal Reflection: Take a breather for this one. I knew what I was getting into when it came to this show. I knew that it was going to be weird and funny and I was expecting that. Sadly it really fell short for me. The fact that there is little to no sound direction that I could speak of outside of the music is a huge disappointment because it is something that I look for in every show I watch. The art is not one of my favorites, but I can make it past that, and even the story was good in some respects, Kaho is really struggling and it makes for an interesting dramatic style. What really killed this show for me was the way Kanade and his friends acted. This might say something about me and how I deal with kids, and I think Kaho shares my feelings, but the way that they act and behave is so juvenile and so childish, it makes the show very hard to watch. I struggled with how the appeared to be adults, but spoke and acted like children (a lot younger than 10 I might add). Then there were the random tangent story lines; like when Kaho goes home and we meet her weird and creepy brother. It felt like they had run out of ideas and had to add another weird and obsessive character, in addition to Kanade’s tutor. So yes, I finished the series, but I am not planning on re-watching it any time soon. If you like immature jokes and an age gap to boot, then check out Hatsukoi Monster. As for me, I’ll pass.

Kimi no Na wa (Your Name)
Art: The art in this film is spectacular. Every character has unique traits that makes them easily distinguishable. The animation is so fluid and the scenery makes me feel like I am truly immersed in the world of Your Name. The way that the countryside and the big city feel of Tokyo mesh is just absolutely gorgeous and the poster art really reflects that. Being able to watch the colors pop out and the outfits change and the emotion displayed on each characters faces makes this film one best in the art direction department. The way that the hair isn’t perfect
...
and cookie cutter to the way the wind moves through the grass makes me want to live in this universe. If I had to complain about one thing, the fixation on the opening and closing of doors got a little old by the end of the film.
Sound/Music: The songs used throughout this film are catchy and enjoyable. They fit the moment perfectly and I really enjoyed listening to them. The only thing I had going into this film was the poster and the knowledge that there was a soundtrack available. I didn’t know anything else. But that alone was enough to get me interested. The sound of the wind and the laughter of the townspeople make the world that much bigger and more exciting to be a part of. The little sounds that occur only at really important moments really highlighted the importance of those moments and it was fantastic.
Story: I can’t say too much without giving things away, but the way that the story of these two kids goes together is amazing. Mitsuah is a teenage girl living in the Japanese countryside and she has become absolutely sick of the mundane and the boring. She longs to be a in her dreams where she can see herself as a male student in the big city of Tokyo, where excitement is endless. Taki is a high school student barely making ends-meat in Tokyo that has an intense love for architectural fine arts. He dreams of living in the countryside as a carefree girl. At first this story was really confusing to me but as it began to pan out things really did make more sense and worked together and became an unforgettable story about two people connected by a comet that passes by only once in 1,000 years.
Personal Reflection: Like I said previously, I had very little to go off of going into this film, but the poster stirred such a curiosity in me that I had to watch it as soon as I could. And boy was I blown away. The plot of this film really confused me at first but after I figured out really what was going on, I fell in love with watching the characters develop and change and grow. I was able to laugh, cry, gasp, and sigh with them. The art style and the music had me focusing on the background, but then I was taken into the story and it took me by the hand and had me exploring all these amazing ideas that I’d heard a hundred times, but I had never heard them told in such an amazing way. A tale of fighting against odds, love, and dreaming, Kimi no Na wa. is amazing, and one of the best films that I have seen in a long while.

ReLIFE
Art: The art in this show is pretty standard. In all honesty I felt that it was lacking a bit. My biggest complaint has to be that there was a few characters that looked nearly identical, and when we see the difference between young and old versions of these characters, the difference is negligible, hardly even noticeable. But when I wasn’t focusing on how closely these characters were in the facial structure area, i did like the way the uniforms were presented at the school. While this isn’t really a major part of the show, it is just something I liked because it wasn’t your
...
everyday skirt or pants.
Sound: There wasn’t a lot of sound to focus on in this show. I do remember it being nice to listen to, but often it was under the action. When I did hear it, mostly it was repetitive and catchy. I can’t say I remember it well because I am writing this review in retrospect and It has been a couple weeks since i finished it. However, I can promise the sound isn’t what will get you hooked to this show.
Story: The story is about a 27 year old NEET named Kaizaki, who is presented with an opportunity to take a pill to make him look 17 so he can go back to high school for a year and re-learn social skills. While this seems like something out of a twilight zone episode, Kaizaki takes the chance because the organization ReLIFE will pay for all his expenses for the year he is in school. Through his time in classes he meets friends and even tries to have good friendships with other 17 year old girls (as creepy as that sounds at first). He really wants to better himself and through this whole series we watch him Grow and learn from his friends. We also learn more about the people of ReLIFE and where this project all began. This show’s story really pulls you in.
Personal Reflection: I have to say; I was so excited when starting this show, it was a little weird that they put the whole series on Crunchyroll from the start, rather than week by week, but I’m not complaining. From the start of the PV to the end of Episode 13 I was hooked. Every twist and turn I was there with the characters and the story. I must say that this show is a must watch for anyone who is a fan of slice of life stories. The comic relief, the serious moments, the friendships, and the story is all so amazing. I would’ve like a little bit more diversity in the character art, but I figured it out before too long. At the end of the day, ReLIFE is a show that you can binge watch and not feel bad about. Watch this show!

Love Lab
Art
I really liked the art of this show. It didn’t really impose on itself too much and even though they were in the same uniforms a lot of the time, the change in hairstyles for the main character was actually a nice touch. This comes into play in the story, but that’s beside the point. I felt that while there were a few things that I would have liked to see changed when they were introduced, they were actually things used by the story to get a laughable moment. This really was a pleasant show to look at and at no point did i
...
feel like I would stop watching because of the art.
Sound/Music
The music in the show itself was sub-par. This is really where the show fell short for me. The music really wasn’t anything spectacular and I found myself being more interested in the story than the music itself. On the sound part of this, things did a little bit better. There was a good balance of comic relief moments as well was soft music to help set the mood for a more dramatic scene (what few there where). Truly the sound direction really could have done a lot more and been a lot better, but due to the content of the show itself, I can understand why this might have been put on the back burner.
Story
We meet Riko, deemed the “Wild Kid” by her classmates at an all-female middle school. When she goes to check on something from the student council she finds the Student Council President, Maki, Kissing a body pillow with a crudely drawn boy on it. Understandably in shock she tries to get away, but then Maki begins to cry and thinks that her secret is out, in an effort to help her get better at romance, and stop her from kissing a pillow, she agrees to help her conduct “love labs” to get better at romance. However two things seem to be standing in Riko’s way: The fact that romantic relationships are forbidden by their school, and Riko has never had any experience herself! Maki assumes she is popular and has had a lot of boyfriends and Riko can’t bring herself to tell the truth. The story picks up from there with the inclusion of a cast of characters that each are unique (albeit Cliché) and fun to watch grow together.
Personal Reflection
The first episode Thumbnail was a little weird and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But after the crazy antics and one laugh after another, I was hooked. I found that even though the characters were a little generic and the sound wasn’t amazing, the show had a charm that I really enjoyed. There was one part that I was a little weirded out by, which was a scene that had the characters in black face; that should have been avoided. Over the course of the show, there was a change in tone and it became less about the Love Labs and more about the friendships between the characters. I have seen this kind of shift happen before, but it never felt quite this smooth and natural. While the end slate left it open to a sequel series I am happy that it ended when it did. Love Lab is a perfect example of how a goofy comedy and slice of life show can have real heart and turn into a show that feels genuine. When the silence hung in the air during the last episode, I found myself holding my breath, waiting for what was to come next, and I hope you do too.

The World Is Still Beautiful
Art
I wasn’t really sure how I was going to feel about this art. It seemed really generic and at times I was afraid it might take a turn for the worst. But instead I really just got used to it and I ended up finding it to be rather simple but still elegant. The colors come out really well and there is great contrast at times. I really loved when, in the darker moments of the story, there was a real fear that came about as a result of the way everything had shifted to a darker tone. The other thing
...
I noticed was the amount of animation quirks that make for some kind of comic relief. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of these and I think it was overused here.
Sound
The soundtrack is amazing. If they sold this online somewhere I would buy it, it is that good. I absolutely love the pirate style tunes and the shanty type things that you hear as the series opens. The biggest thing it reminded me though, was of the video game series Kingdom Hearts. A lot of the music sounds like it would fit right in at Traverse Town (if you’ve played the game you’ll understand). Another thing I really liked about the music was when Nike’s singing came into play as a part of the story. This really was a great way to include even more music in this show and I think it really paid off in the end.
Story
The story here is that Princess Nike, of the Rain Dukedom, is sent off to marry the Sun King in the Sun Kingdom, where it never rains. Upon the discovery that the Sun King, Livi, is just a child and has the selfish motive of wanting her to become his play thing (making it rain whenever he pleases as a party favor) she reacts...poorly and Livi throws her in prison. Once she escapes, they begin to have this relationship and Livi starts to learn to see the beauty in the world of the stars, flowers and the earth; rather than all of the harm that it has caused him and the obsession with money and power. Once the King’s true colors come out, their relationship is actually able to grow and flourish and become something that really wasn’t expected.
Personal Reflection
So I was pretty unsure about this show. Almost every show I watch, I go in blind, but for the reasons I stated above I was a little weary on this one. However the more that I watched the better I felt about it. The relationship between Livi and Nike is very much like that of Lawrence and Holo from Spice and Wolf (another great show if you haven’t seen it). But as I grew into the characters I felt them grow into me as well. I wanted to see them get together and have a relationship of true love, because that is what I seek in life. My main gripe with the show was some translation errors (such as the title of the show being translated weird) and there were many episode titles that were off. Now I haven’t decided if that is the studio’s fault or Crunchyroll’s, either way it was annoying. This show gave me a warm fuzzy feeling, but it also was a little rough at times and I decided to watch other things. It didn’t drag me in as some other amazing shows do. But if you need a love story that has drama, singing, and even a few tears, just remember; The World Is Still Beautiful.

Kiznaiver
Art
When I first started to watch this show, I was a little concerned with how the art presented itself. It seemed like it was one of those old cartoon styles everything that moved had a different color palate than did the background. But I found after watching it more and more and becoming significantly more invested in the show as a whole this didn’t really bother me. I really liked the way how nothing was to extreme and over the top in terms of colors (except of course Nico). it all seemed to come together really well and when things started to really heat up
...
i could feel the emotion that was present in each of the characters. The art style is anything but generic and actually unique in ways that make this show really pleasant to look at.
Sound/Music
The first thing one might notice about this opening song specifically is the similarity in the tune to a song called “Take On Me” from the ‘80s. And while that song is pretty cool, this song is way better in my personal opinion. This track is catchy and it is honestly one of my favorite parts of each episode. The other major thing I loved about the sound direction was the sound of pain that the characters felt throughout the entire show. When they were stunned with pain there was a shocker sound and it made me cringe just as much as the characters did. That kind of attention to detail brought me face-first into a show that I knew nothing about going into.
Story
The story in Kiznaiver is one of connection. These 7 people have seemingly nothing in common and one of them can’t feel any pain at all. But through a weird twist they all discover that they share a similar wound on their wrist, and whenever one of them feels pain, the others all share that pain equally. It comes out that they are part of a project that aims to study the way emotions are shared from person to person. At first it mostly deals with pain, but the deeper goal is to find how positive emotions such as love can be spread from person to person. It all wraps up with the nice little bow of a romantic subplot between a few of the characters that drive the story forward, even if I ship characters different than what the story says.
Personal Reflection
I started watching this show out of sheer curiosity because of the summary provided on Crunchyroll. I wasn’t looking to really get into it, but I found that after I really learned about the characters, it became such a pleasing experience to watch. I would look forward each week to the next installment of the series in eager anticipation to see where the story was going to go. I have always wondered about how I would be able to share my pain and my emotions with others because handling it all on your own is not a good thing to do. This show supports the notion that friendship, even with people that you have nothing in common with, is important. There will always be people that are going through similar things as you, and even if those things get drastically different, we all bleed the same color; red. I highly recommend Kiznaiver.

Art - The art style of this is a mix of moe and chibi, which really isn’t a problem and is actually very cute to watch. The characters kind of remind me slightly of “Is the Order a Rabbit?” which is another show that I really enjoyed. With the short episode run time I was surprised to see how much detail the artist put into all of the background characters. Normally shows like this will stick to silhouettes of characters that don’t speak or even have anything to do with the story, so I thought that this was a really nice touch.
Music -
...
Because of the short run time this show had very little musical direction. I did however like that the simple music fit the simplicity of the show itself. This music was catchy and fun to listen to, but I found myself anticipating it and expecting it to get annoying. However, when this happened, the same song didn’t repeat itself. I am sure there was re-used music in the 12 episodes, but they were spread out far enough to not let you notice that they were being reused, which made it much better - and I am someone who can hear a song once and want to listen to it over and over again.
Story - There really isn’t a story in this show. With a run time of only about 3-5 minutes, how could there be? Really this show takes a peak into the life styles of four friends in their first year of high school. They go to the movies, they make each other bentos, and they even fight off bugs together. While what the show lacks in story, it makes up for in characters. I say this because while it was super short and overall kind of boring, the show had me coming back because I enjoyed watching the characters have fun.
Personal Reflection - This is one of those shows were I knew next to nothing going into it, and after the first episode was over in 3 minutes I felt a little confused. But then I was able to watch one episode after another and really enjoy the show overall. It was like binge watching Youtube episodes, and I really enjoy doing that. When the show finally came to a close it was so sudden and I actually was a little disappointed because I wanted the fun antics to continue. Overall I felt like the show had no story but fun characters. It was so easy to get invested in them that when the show was over as quick as it started, it left me wanting more. If you need to burn a half hour, go and watch A-Channel! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
