At the end, i was laughing my ass off at how ridiculous sounded the things satoru and yashiro were telling each other.
Because nothing in this series has enough background explanation for it to make sense. We just needed a little, just a little more background for it to be at least ok, but it seems like the series thinks that with feelings everything is justifyed. That is not what being of the psycological genre means.
For starters, the villain is ridiculous. If he is antagonized because he is psycologically unstable, at least show me how and show me why. Everything we get from him

is some hamster crap and the thing with the spider web and how he felt the need to cut it, but that´s it. That alone means nothing to me. It´s such a weak presentation of character.
Moving on to Satoru--> the main character is always going in the direction he is not supposed to go, if we think things through logically. When he goes back in time, he tries to save the victims instead of shooting for the kidnapper directly, he nevers stops to think why he is in his situation. Not to mention his romantic and pedophilic affairs, not only with kayo, but also with airi (if the romantic implication of the ending is true).
Also, a lot of questions left unanswered--> the logic behind the revival, how was it possible that at the beginning of the series satoru´s mother was about to find out yashiro was the real kidnaper, how was it possible that yashiro found out and killed her.
Drama was exaggerated to the point it made me cringe. It is not the type of drama that is so realistic and emphatical that makes you cry, it´s the type of drama that is always shooting for the shocking factor, and it becomes tyring at some point. All the deal with kayo´s mother was just ridiculous especially.
AND... logic fails enourmously at a pecific point. what is not logical is how yashiro in the present time tried to make satoru´s life impossible, not only killing his mother but tring to implicate him even further on the case. In the series it is being made clear that this happens because the killer knows satoru in some way and holds a personal grudge for him. But this does not make sense because at that time satoru still had not frustrated his plans in the past, so he did not have a reason for hating him that much. The kid was just a normal student that did not know what was happening at the time before the revival happened and he changed the course of events.

For the record, i have not played the game and therefore speak for the anime only.
Story: 3/10: There are two types of mytery: the one that gives the clues necessary for the audience to put the pieces together and the danganronpa mystery, which involves hiding those clues to the audience so they wont figure things out.
A good mystery would provide those clues in a discrete way so when the mystery is revealed you would look back at it in surprise and ask yourself why you could not figure it out sooner, because the clues were there. Instead, Danganronpa decides to show us only

the irrelevant, and instead of giving us a hint of anything before the trial they leave it to the characters to narrate us all their discoverings instead of letting the audience figure them out for itself, thus creating 0 interest in me while watching it. In other words: Danganronpa is not unpredictable, it´s just impossible to predict and therefore fails as a mystery.
Art: 7/10: the character designs are nice and i think the animation is pretty nice, especially the way the punishment scenes where animated which i though it was an artistic and very creative way to not make them so graphic and bloody.
Sound: 6/10: i think the music fits well in the scenes, but i cant recall almost nothing of it so it's not so memorable. The ending song though, it´s awesome.
Character: 3/10: unfortunately, good character design does not mean good character development. There is only so much it can be told from the appearance, the rest is up to how the characters are portrayed and how much of their personality can be seen through their actions. The only thing i can say for them can be summarized in one word: shallow. Having a bg cast and considering the first ones to die did not have enough time to shine, i expected to have some lack of characterisation, but even the main characters where shallow. Though some of their past was revealed, it meant nothing becaus i still felt i was looking at the surface of what could have been deep characters. Nothing of the way they feel is mentioned, most of them faced death so calmly it was obvious they were not real. If they tried at least to make them react to the dangerous situation they were in as a normal human being, the series could have been so great even with it's shitty mystery.
Enjoyment: 5/10: honestly, i only kept up with the series for two reasons: to see the punishment scenes and to find out who would die next at the hands of whom, and because a friend of mine was pushing me. Everything apart from death and torture scenes was a blurr to me, none of the "content" the series was trying to offer sticked into my head, so this is for me just and empty series with some cool killing scenes and nothing else.
Overall: 5/10: i would only recommend it if you are so bored out of your mind, sooooooo bored, you are willing to stand it for some 2 minutes of tortures with great animation style.

Prison school is vulgar, repulsive, absurd and... hilariously funny.
Yes, i knew from the beginning what this series was about and was fully aware of the good critics surrounding it and i was almost certain i would drop it, yet i found myself laughing my ass off like a maniac every episode. There were scenes so intense that i had to pause it and shout at the screen, seriously.
Story: 6: as i said, absurd. A prison in a school? Sadist girls beating some guys for having hormones? Ridiculous, yet perfect for the series as it is. Dont forget that prison school is a comedy,
...
so it is bound to exaggerate certain situations for the fun of it, and in my opinion it does it pretty well. Now, the series is full to the very top with those soooo classic cheap jappanese jokes about sex and poop and "others", but it excels on giving them an actual purpose for the plot and not just to try horribly to take a laugh out of you.
Art: 8: beautiful is not the word i would describe for the art rather HILARIOUS (and explicit). The expresions of the characters are so funny and match the situation perfectly, showing you that it is not trying to be the "pretty and sexy" rather raw, explicit, funny and agressive.
Sound: 7: music was good. Considering this is a comedy anime i would have expected to found the soundtrack a little more funny, but the epic soundtrack in some scenes was laughable enough.
Character: 8: does any character have a background story? no. Do we get justification for their way of acting? no. and that does not metter PEOPLE. i have heard so many critics about this, and yeah if prison school were a romantic or psicological anime it would have mattered a lot, but this is just comedy!! the purpose of the series is not (clearly) to teach you a lesson about life, it is just to make you laugh, and for achieving that purpose we dont need reasonable and coherent characters, we need FUN characters. And oh my are they funny. Their way for each character to react to the several situations is hilarious and they are sooo ridiculous in their own unique way it is almost impossible not to want to hug them.
Enjoyment: 9: if not a ten really. This is the only series i can recall that made me laugh so much. I almost felt this was ment to be a satire for common ecchi really: characters bleeding more through the mouth rather than the nose when excited, such grotesque way of presenting the sexual content... it is just hilarious. It got me freezing the screen every 10 minutes because of the anticipation.
A must watch for people who: are not pecky with sexual content, can let go of their seriousness for an episode and laugh at cleverly yet ridiculously formulated jokes, do not expect a complicated plot and just want to laugh their asses of for a while. Really, really laugh their asses off.

An episodic series about life after death that took me ages to watch because i doubted i would enjoy: death parade.
In spite of its episodic structure the show has a sequencial plot that honestly confused me a lot and i usually ended up looking up more to the judgement of the souls more than anything else. Still, death parade did a good job in capturing my attention in regards to the past of the female protagonist, the reason for her to be there and the development of the male protagonist . of the cast is mere filling added to the series, and while i dont care much to know more about certain characters like the elevator guy, it would have been interesting to uncover more of nona, oculus or ginti, which would have also helped to understand better what was going on.
In the case of ginti, i really dont see a purpose for him to be on the series other than to bother decim the first time he appeard, but after that he became pointless and the only judgement we saw him do was misleading and confusing and the characters involved in it hung around more than needed which made it seem as if it were only to extend the series a bit more.
On the other hand the plot revolving around the female protagonist was beatufil and the last shot of the series left me with a smile on the face.
The art and animation were beautiful and i honestly dont remember paying much attention to the music, the opning is hilarious but does not have to do with the series at all and the ending is great. Overall, it has its flaws but i think its premise is so interesting and it stands out much more from the rest so that it is really interesting and something new to try on the table.

For this anime i had exceeded expectations built upon general positive comments about it that were not quite met. Either way, one thing that surely did not disappoint me were the feels this series gave me, which where quite as emotional as rumored.
Technically though, the series has many flaws, mainly on plot and character development. There are a lot of plot holes, details that seemed very random and were not fully explained, a little bit of incoherences, subplots or arcs that seemed spontaneously invented at the moment and a constant transition of antagonist due to the series' failure in giving a clear reason for
...
Tenshi's rivalry with the group. Also, characterisation was pretty weak, which is reasonable considering there were too many main characters and only 13 episodes. Consequently, while some characters got their background story revealed and a bit of character development, others were just mere stereotypes used as filling, which is a pity as i think that if properly developed the series could have been much better than it was. For example, the violet haired dude with an axe (you can see how much characterisation he got as i only remember him by those aspects and not even by his name) had a deep devotion for tthe leader of the group that was never explained nor gave reason for, thus i could not pity him nor understand why he wanted so desperately to stay for her.
The overall series seemed rushed, and while it achieved givieng me the feels as i previously mentioned, i meant feelings of friendship and all that, except of love. The love relationships were not bad, were not good either. You could say that, as the series is rushed, they did not have enough time to feel authentic thus appealing incipid to my eyes.
I have to praise it though in the comedy, which may be the main aspect that saved the series for me. I love when series mix tragedy and drama with some comedy in it to make things lighter from time to time and give it an easier pace to it. The comedy in Angel Beats i think it to be especially good, heart lighted and funny, making it quite enjoyable in spite of the flaws listed above.

Wether you have experience watching anime or are just a newbie like me, you have probably heard about the so popular and controversial Cowboy Bebop.
The anime raises two main discussions that i would like to mention in this review:
- That it's overrated
- That it's "style over substance"
To the first statement, i partially disagree. To the second one, i am utterly against. Just let me explain.
I can understand why a person would harbour the opinion that Cowboy Bebop is so popular that people tend to automatically rate it a ten even before starting the series, saying that it has absolutely no flaws
...
whatsoever. No piece of work is free of having flaws, not even this masterpiece of an anime, and that is a fact that we all must face. I can mention a couple if you want me to, like the episodic way in which the series was arranged bringing too many convenient coincidences and abrupt conclusions to some conflicts. But when those flaws acquire little relevance compared to the positive aspects and do not tamper with the overall quality of the show, that's when we find a good series worth watching.
The enjoyment a person experiences while watching it is completely personal depending on his or her own preferences and that is why i can totally understand the different ratings this series gets. But something i consider extremely important when reviewing any piece of work is separating our own subjective opinion from the objective view. Subjectively, you may enjoy the episodic arrangement of the anime and its theme or not, but objectively it is almost impossible to state that this series does not have lots of magnificent effort put to good use wether its in the audiovisuals or the character development or any other technical aspect. The combination of those two is what makes a propper review.
That is why it really bugs me when i find people saying cowboy bebop is overrated and then continue justifying it with facts that revolve more around personal tastes than anything else.
I, for example, don't tend to enjoy nor episodical nor space anime and that is why it took me so long to pick this up. And yes, it was a little slow to me because of that, but the fact that i enjoyed it anyways and even finished it actually amazed is a proof of good quality. I could have rated it a 9, but i realised it wasn't fair for the series itself when comparing it to the other animes in my list and the ratings i gave them, because Cowboy Bebop seriously seems like it's made of something else.
Moving on to the "style over substance" matter, i do think that's truly a complete nonsense. Yes, the style is magnificent and we all can agree to that. The art is good though not a wonder to me, but the animation is flawless, especially in the facial expresions and in the space related movements (meaning laws of physics are not broken and it actually seems realistic and coherent). The music is something from another dimension really. Someone could think that it would be a total mess considering all the different genres of music being played that can either match or not the theme of the anime, but in the end that does not even matter because it mixes so well the scene that it's overwhelming. It's like some words are cut because they are not need, it's the music that speaks to you about the atmosphere and how characters feel.
But style is not merely enough to make an anime good, and here comes the substance of it which i think is fantastic. This is the first anime i have seen so far that made me really think of the characters as real people. They are so well done and their background is for each one of them so very well developed i was really amazed. The action scenes provide their moments of badassery for the characters but are not overly pretentious and do not cross the line of coherence and possibility. The plot could have it's occasional flaws here or there, but it is obvious that it was carefully sewed into place, so as to establish a sequencial plot involved with the past of the characters even in an episodical series.
Conclusion: please watch it. It really stands out how this anime is different from the rest and a unique piece of work.

This is one of those anime that you can see why someone would critisize but cant help but love it anyways. Just by seeing how the anime began it was almost impossible for it not to pick my interest.
Zankyou no Terror is an anime about terrorism that focuses on the main protagonists 12 and 9, who immerse themselves in a battle of wits against the police force through terrorist attacks in the city of Tokyo. I have to admit that at first the series promises a bit more than it gives, for example, the development of Lisa which i though would be marvelous and epic, but instead she remained being a nuisance for the team. Also i thought 12 would shock me with his disturbing psycho moments but he reamined the pretty goody boy. The character of 5 is another example, as her introduction brought almost nothing to the series and her apparition was almost pointless, without giving me a clear explanation of why she did what she did at the end.
You are probably wondering why i rated this series with a 9 if i can state all of this flaws, well, almost i dont know it. In spite of everything this series got me with my ass on the chair for a whole afternoon. The characters are pretty inteligent and the riddles and puzzles this anime presents are pretty well done. The ending was breathtaking and the main characters´purpose was also amazing and not weak as i feared. The art and the music are so beautiful i couldnt take my eyes off the screen and i even listened to the OST many times after finishing the anime.
So, in cocnlusion, do i recommed this? yes. do i say it is going to be perfect? no. But its premise, the characters, the background and the overall flow of this anime are worth it and is almost impossible to not enjoy it in spite of it all.

i am not going to lie, this is a VERY sweet show, and i dont tend to rate these so high, but with Akagami no Shirayukhime i got something that the others didnt give me, and that is a good story.
obviously the plot has bland spots, for example all the deal with her red hair i cant find nothing but ridiculous, but the thing with this storyline is that it provides something other than plain romance. We get introduced to this world of kingdoms where the prince has to keep up with his olbigations adn we see him doing his job other than just

hanging around his love interest forgetting about the rest of the world as it usually tends to happen. Shirayuki nontheless has a purpose staying in the castle as court herbalist and actually does things by her own merits. If you like historical anime then you are also most likely to enjoy this, and also the art is very pretty and the music, though not my favourite, is incredibly perfect for the atmosphere the anime is trying to create.
i enjoyed this pretty much and i am very excited for the next season coming soon!

If what you are looking for is an original anime love story, then i wont recommend you this series because it is quite the cliche. Either way, if you just want to find a very enjoyable anime with lovable characters and a cute as well as fun story wether the plot is unique or not, then this is the right anime for you.
I dont think Kaichou wa Maid sama is meant to be a revolutionary anime in any way but rather a traditional romantic comedy, very well done by the way, that will give you a very good time to relax and just enjoy yourself.

The main characters have a great chemistry and what i like about them the most is that their opposite personalities mix up so well that they work out as a couple perfectly, as they find what they need in the other. Though i tend to dislike tsunderes, the female lead carries the personality pretty well, keeping it quite traditional but not being over abusive at all, just a strong character with determination and strong will. The male character is the popular perfect guy, but is saved from being incipid thanks to the sense of humor and weakness he shows when hanging around our female protagonist. Also he works pretty well as the love interest of a tsundere because of his ability to read behind her behaviour and trying to reach her in several ways.
The secondary characters add pretty well to the story and some of them have great part of the focus to provide comedy such as the three idiots (which i love).
The art is good and music does not surprise me or anything but adds well to the scenes.
Overall it is pretty enjoyable and the perfect show for those who just want to enjoy light hearted and funny romance without having to endure all those tons of excesive drama that more serious love stories give us.

If we compare this season to the previous one, battle of Nagoya takes our breath considerably better. There are a lot of shocking and badass moments as well as crazy cliff hangers that drive you crazy and leave you just wanting to see more. I grew surprisingly attached to this series as it continued on along the season, but a matter that i couldn´t help but worry about was the plot.
The premise of the series as a whole is very interesting and quite promising, which is why it is such a pity seeing all that potential being crushed by an open ending that leaves
...
it filled with plot holes that were never covered. All that anticipation that this series succeded to build through those amazing cliff hangers and shocking moments was never satisfyed at the end, which is equivalent to the series bitch-slapping the viewers on the face.
Sadly, if this doesn´t get a third season (which is most likely), the series wont be able to stand on itself as consistent story and would be just a bunch of cool scenes put together without any sense whatsoever because we didn´t get a full clear explanation of it all.
