Failure Frame while at the time of this review currently has a 6star rating which I personally think usually Animes of that quality can sometimes be hidden gems honestly I can’t say that this show will be one of em but the odd use of CGI and 2D is very off putting and can easily see why it would bother some. Thankfully I do think there’s some redeeming qualities about it so my rating will probably change over time as of this review but currently 4 episodes in and while the manga has a similar rating to the anime it could be a good binge
...
series if you have nothing to watch as it does have that twist on Isekai being a pretty Edgy MC to boot but his reasoning is justifiable and kinda gives me Shield Hero vibes for what happens to him if you can stomach the bad mix match of CGI this might be a pretty mid watch but so far for what it’s worth it’s been so so. ((Updated)) (To add on to what I currently said as of Episodes 7&8 the series has gotten better and I don’t recall seeing CGI in either episodes so that’s a +)
Story: 8 (Unique twist at the start, Pretty interesting concept, Darker version of Shield Hero and a bit of fan service but nothing too over the top yet.)
Animation: 5 (Here’s the bad sadly this ones a head scratcher for me the animation actually looks decent at times when they selectively have scenes randomly that’ll go CGI for some reason which Just looks off putting or random with the transitioning from 2D style to CGI I might be being a bit generous with the 5 but there’s some decent 2D in this and I don’t think games or anime make or break with Animation/Graphics imo. The later episodes have improved tho and I’m seeing less of CGI to none as of Episodes 7&8, I also think it’s because multiple anime studios are working on this anime that are listed so maybe another studio worked on the second half tho that’s just a assumption.)
Characters: 6 (with 7 episodes in the MC being a edgy Naofumi a bit and is built on hatred and revenge tho with how twisted the rest of the world is I kinda like how the MC embraces it, the Elf girl is mysterious but interesting and a few of his classmates and choice of main antagonist is rather Unique but for some reason everyone is basically twisted aside from the few pure characters.)
Sound: 9 (The Opening and Ending theme for this was rather good I personally think they’re both Top 10 this season for Opening and Ending themes aside from that the Quality of the Sound during the anime is probably as good as it gets so no complaints here.)
Enjoyment: 6 (For what it’s worth I think it’s got the potential to be better than it’s worth but that’s only if the Story gets better even if the off putting CGI weighing it down I think it has a lot more pros but just one heavy Con as a anchor otherwise this probably would be a solid 7 rating by most folk. Regardless at least it’s bingeable.)

The story is about a shattered family that uses escapism to play a game in the virtual world where the family in reality is just a mess, very relatable for various people. The Father was probably the most complex character of the series for me and well he tries to make up for his failures of the past it only gets worse for the family. Meanwhile Netflix has been on a solid trend for me with their animes since Cyberpunk and now I don’t think this is on the same level as that but by episode 6 the series plot really does take a turn
...
that peeked my interest the characters weren’t boring and seemed rather fleshed out a bit. For me tho I didn’t bother reading the Synopsis if I can I’d recommend viewers to ignore it as I feel it spoils a rather interesting small plot that you’d learn in the first episode which was actually what peaked my interest episode 1. The series could have probably did better with a extra episode because of the ending which all 12 episodes were put into 5 volumes and 52 chapters. I’m gonna refrain from mentioning key details tho to avoid spoiling but the ending I can see why some might’ve been confused and I’ve seen others speculated what it means which seems plausible. My overall experience with the series was a Solid 8 the ending left me wanting more but left me with questions that weren’t answered.
Story: 8 (The plot gets better and the story thickens by episode 6 onward)
Characters 8 ( I really felt like the background on the characters and the amount of effort put into them wasn’t too bad it was rather decent for a 12 episode anime)
Sound: 8 (I really like the opening and the ending for this one especially its done by Vtubers from nijisanji in Kuzuha & the music group Nornis)
Visuals: 9 (For me personally I think the visuals were the best thing about the series the Reality world had a darker more monotone like color whilst the Virtual world was more bright and using more uplifting colors.)
Overall: 8
(Fun fact we could be getting a prequel to the series tho in a few years as the creator just started serialization for Good Night World End which started in August (2023) which could be based off the events of the Sister, tho that’s just me speculating.

Bungou Stray Dogs 5th Season After everything leading up to this season I truly felt Stray Dogs has continued to lose its touch at one point this anime used to have truly amazed me with its insane plot twist and good writing, I’m still uncertain how these past two seasons have a higher rating than the previous ones but the series truly has been going downhill since Season 4 the continued overused fake deaths continues into this season and it hurts badly. On top of all this they introduced a character for the sake of plot to just help a certain character only for this
...
random character to be killed to bail Dazi out of a scenario. During the final conclusion of this arc they had a serious moment between Fukuchi and Fukuzawa and they ruined it with adding a random new antagonist mere seconds after the final confrontation just to acknowledge another season. Overall: 6.5/7 there were a few good things such as the ost and the animation picking up near the end but overall the element of surprise and bad writing is starting to show with overusing fake deaths, I don’t see me finishing this one out if this continues sadly.

The Loli Must Stay!
Characters: The characters are unique and add a bit of flavor to the entire premise for a short 10 episode series each character was easily likeable or brought something to remember them by, especially David the main character is by far well written who’s struggling in Night City if you have any empathy you’ll grow to like David and feel sorry for him throughout the series. Sadly Night City isn’t too kind on those suffering as it’ll eat you alive and end up flatlined somewhere but as you watch this series you’ll come to appreciate how well they portrayed Night City
...
and it’s characters who are all doing what they can to survive I’d say the characters are well written and overall one of its strong points easily a 10, especially David, Lucy, Maine, and Rebecca
Story & Art: The story is done by Studio Trigger and as expected from them they did one hell of a job matching the color schemes to the bright lights of Night City, The Romance, Character Development, Action, Personally I was a little concerned with 10 episodes instead of the normal 12 but somehow the pacing wasn’t rushed it felt perfectly fine the episodes start off rather slow and focus on the struggles that young David Martinez goes through in the beginning on top of that they do a decent job building up the side characters as well with 2 less episodes which is impressive. Overall you don’t need to play Cyberpunk or know much about it to watch this series either all and all the story was a 9 for me but the Art/Animation was a 10, If there was 12 episodes this would easily be a solid 10/10 story.
Sound: the Sound uses a few tracks from the game and let me say this now while the game first released and was in a buggy state and receiving negativity back when it released the sound track was so good it honestly was the shining light in all of the negative. You could definitely feel the vibes that the team did by adding certain tracks in certain moments to better fit the setting of the atmosphere.
Enjoyment & Overall: honestly I loved what Studio Trigger did with this adaption by taking existing lore and adding on to it. I think they matched Mike Pondsmith well written universe pretty well on what Night City is like and everything it has to offer. There’s not much bad I can say outside of the short 10 episodes to 12 but I definitely recommend this to fans or not This one definitely didn’t disappoint and was a emotional trip. My enjoyment & overall: 9

Personally I didn’t jump on this series right away when the hype train for the main female character was the talk of the season even being considered Waifu of the year by some. I tend to wait for things to settle down then evaluate if it was overrated/Overhyped or if things were Legit and let me just say Marin does live up to the hype. Now others might be a bit too critical on the series for being too Waifu bait or excessive fan service however almost every Romcom or just Romance with a bit of slice of life has fan service even the notorious
...
Love is War has its fair share. The Main Character Gojou is your typical shut in who has a hobby for hina dolls that gets bullied from his childhood for having a hobby about playing with hina dolls/ being infatuated with them which leads to him shutting the rest of the world out I suppose which seems understandable I guess. To the more miss popular Marin now most people I guess can’t accept a pretty popular girl to be or hang around a uncool guy I’ve seen it happen before heck even some gorgeous celebrities have a nerd side/Geeky side there partner might not be as attractive etc. Marin reminds me of that Miss popular girl who just happens to have her own hobby that you wouldn’t normally see which is being a beautiful otaku popular girl. Personally I think she carries the show for the most part. I love the Voice acting I think the voice actors did a amazing job. The series is a overall solid series it does good with the Amount of Comedy it has its your typical Romcom/Slice of Pie if your a Slice of life fan or a RomCom fan I think it just comes down to the characters and if the Excessive fan service is a bit too much for some but overall I think the Premise of Cosplay and Slice of life Romcom is a different change while lacking in some departments such as not having the best cast of characters I strongly think the main female character carries the show enough to make up for it till a few later characters appear. I’d strongly recommend checking it out if your looking for something different just keep in mind of the excessive amount of fan service as that can bother some and turn off many watchers.

Yofukashi No Uta Otherwise known as Call by the Night is a Modern Vampire RomCom with a nice Chill dark theme with vibrant dark colors and music that fits the tone of the series very well, the creator actually got the inspiration from the title of this series from the artist too. The series has the Young protagonists who lacks direction and motivation and doesn't feel like he has a place in the world. (pretty relatable to some) To meeting this mysterious vampire girl who changes his life. As Kou who battles with Insomnia and struggles to talk to people this series is definitely one

to watch very promising and has a lot to offer. This is how a Modern Vampire series should be done.

Not much to say great about Tribe Nine. Due to it being pushed for the upcoming game that’s set to release soon. The overall idea is different than your usual sports anime tho and it gives me vibes to the early 90’s-2000’s with how characters are with Shows like Yugioh,Pokémon, etc but with the usual Dark twist to it since coming from the trio of Daganronpa creators. The story isn’t much to ride home about as I’d say it’s cliche 9/12 episodes in nothing really tho this isn’t the shows strongest suit or best work From what you’d expect from the insane plot/story writing that
...
you’d normally see from the Dangan Trio in Kodaka,Taka,& Rui. 6/10 for story depending on the last few episodes could be a 4-7.
Art is about the same as what you’d expect from Rui he sticks to his theme like his previous works and it doesn’t change here 9/10.
Sound isn’t a issue from the good catchy Opening to the beats and ost that Taka brings to the Dangan Trio I feel your not gonna miss much here the ost is a decent 7.
The characters aren’t bad they tend to have the few used character tropes that have already been fleshed out but with their takes on it. Typical weak minded, not confident MC to Airhead character/Comedy character that gets picked on by everyone. Typical villain trope tho his whole reasoning thus far wasn’t explained but hopefully it’s a good one cause being evil just to be evil is kinda dumb. I’d say it’s a 6 not missing much here.
Overall my enjoyment is a 7 tho that could change depending on the ending/ last few episodes but I feel like it gives me that classic 90’s early 20’s vibes with the classic anime shows so its been a fun watch I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one unless your a fan of Daganronpa or looking to watch something different.

As I’m writing this I just finished seeing the movie in theaters so figured it’d be best to ride the wave and write a review. The movie of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train does not disappoint a lot of people were hyping this up leading to a killer box office as expected from a renowned studio in UFO. Now the story picks up right where the season ended with the main antagonist being Enmu who was shown in the trailer and the fellow protagonist and gang returning along with Rengoku. The movie did a decent job with the amount of time it had going through this
...
arc with setting the tone for developing Rengokus character and role as he was the main focus of this movie if that wasn’t obvious. Now it also had its comedy skits and sad moments throughout the show which all in all this arc is heavy action mainly which is why I give them a pass on the story for it wasn’t really their fault for UFO was following the manga and I truly must say as a person who read bits and parts of the manga to the end this anime has so far exceeded the manga in both Demon Arcs and I can’t help stress this enough. The story overall was a 7 for me, now the art as expected it’s got a beautiful different style then other animes and I feel it does the movie well during the action part of the scenes however some parts in the spider arc were slightly better imo. Tho nothing wrong with that. As it being just as good, if you remember how great the animation was for the spider arc this animation does not disappoint and compliments the action just as it did before. Art: 8, the sound was amazing and had its fair share in the action tho it might be different for some depending on your theater or at home, etc but for me personally it fit and complimented the scenes well with the action to the sad moments. Sound: 7 the characters Tanjiro were more of the supporting cast for this movie but they had their characters done well but as I stated before the main character Rengoku it was focused around him since it was his arc. His character was more of a mentor to Tanjiro and group so overall I’d say it was a 8 probably should be less since they don’t really flesh out any other character other than Rengoku but that’s to be expected since it resolved around him. My overall enjoyment would be a 8 I think UFO knocked this outta the park in some scenarios but definitely was overhyped a bit as I was left expecting more but it felt like it was a setup for the next arc so I was left satisfied to a extent. They killed it on the action/ animation tho, where the whole theater was just quiet during the final fight and you could hear nothing but the sound of your breath and what was happening in front of you. The movie and the atmosphere was an amazing experience if your seeing this highly recommend a good movie theater near you as I felt the theater will only make it better than watching it on your couch or however you fellow anime watchers watch your anime. Overall my conclusion to this was a 8 I think it could have been more but as I stated it wasn’t the studios fault as they were just following the source but did a overall better job handling this then I anticipated along with being better than the manga twice now in both demon arcs.

Could have been so much more. Unfortunately this needs a remake as it was done poorly and it was just meant as a one take with the mindset of ignoring the visual novels and manga. This could have been a multi hit if done properly and could have been the best Horror\Gore anime if it followed the original visual novel but it was like it took all the bad outcomes from the VN and just went with that instead like oh you made a wrong choice this character or that character die now. Such wasted talent unfortunately. I say this because everything about this anime
...
was done correctly. The Amazing Gore to the suspense the sound and the agony of the victims. It truly felt exactly what you would expect from a series know as Corpse Party however this show fails in plot holes and everything in between because it didn't follow the main source and because of that it ruined the potential of what could have been a multi work series. It felt like this was just done as a quick cash grab for sales or filler. Hopefully one day we Corpse Party Fans get a True Sequel to this amazing Horror Series. Do yourself a favor and go and play the Visual Novels which was the original source it does this series justice and would give you a better understanding before watching this filler attempt. - My Personal rating for this show: Story:9 (it would be lower if I didn't know the original source probably a 4-6) Art: 9 (As I mentioned before everything about this show was done so well but didn't follow the source material and you know what disaster that can cause in shows) Sound: 9, Characters 9, Enjoyment: 3 (could have been so much more) Overall: 4, can only hope this series gets justice.

Devilman Crybaby now this shows not very complex and has a old moral to it that many reviewers seem to have miss or didn't care but I'm going to explain this as best as I can without going into big spoilers. The shows overall story is as simple as you can make it out in the beginning with a not so pleasing ending that just ends on a cliffhanger and has you wanting answers but unfortunately we won't be getting them. The show does fairly well up till the final episode with meh to decent characters to back up the show and it has a
...
rather unique take on things like at times I was questioning if I was watching anime or was I high? The shows art style is different and the take on the show resolves around a overall decent MC who ends up being pretty good throughout the show and the plot its not the best but definitely isn't as bad as it seems for comparison take Tokyo Ghoul it has Humans, Ghouls and then Half Human\Ghouls like Ken but in this case its Devils, Devilmans, and Humans. The Devilmans have and are Devils but feel and have a human heart. Overall it might sound cheesy if you put it like that but the concept isn't new and definitely not original but its take on things is and goes to the lengths that not many animes have. Overall the Moral to the show is don't judge a person because of what they look like. This show is worth checking out but I feel like the ending is a bit dissatisfying.
