In short:
If you want an anime that has a really good story, is somewhat fun, and you don't care about 90% of it being fan service, well, this is for you! And keep in mind when I say fan service. A LOT OF IT.
Intro:
The story is centered around a cute, naive, ingenuous, pure (insert more nonsense shoujo tropes here) girl, that sees a harasser and kinda likes him out of nowhere(???) because she is seeking someone to take the "power cell" that was given to her by her mom.
Yes, this is a cringe show.
This anime is really... messed up. It has an interesting
...
story and really cool characters, but lost its way with all the fanservice. I know that a little bit of fanservice is good, and sometimes fun if executed in a good way, but this anime goes too hard with it.
I was a teenager a long, long time ago too, full of testosterone and wanting to see beautiful girls, but this anime goes a little too hard, to the point where it becomes annoying.
Animation: 7
It is good. The characters are well drawn and the fights are fun. They really put a lot of work in to make it feel nice to watch. The only downside here is that the fights have a lot of "staring competitions," where two people just "look at each other" and scream mid-fight. But it is pretty and above average.
Sound: 5
I'm no sound expert at all, but this anime was a little bit off with its sound design. I really do not know if it was the dubbing, or the sounds themselves, but something was off and I didn't like it too much.
Character: 5
It is shallow. The character development is kinda there, but it does not go deep or show any progress. They have their own beliefs but everyone is really naive, the villains are very "wow I'm bad," and the MC is "I'm powerful, let me show you how powerful I am." ...and proceeds to get his ass kicked by ANYONE in this show that is not a side character.
Story: 5
The funny fact is that the story is really good, but the development of it is not. If you can balance "skipping the bullshit" with watching the plot, it is fun.
The world is, as always, rich and full of lore, but it is really undeveloped. 90% of the fan service (and THERE IS A LOT in this show) could have been skipped. Some scenes could have been changed to be more meaningful. Sometimes things just happen to "make the MC do something," and it is always "create a problem to sell a solution," and everything that happens is to make the MC look cooler or more badass. Another problem is the power scale. The MC is called "really powerful" and so on, but almost everyone kicks his ass and he gets schooled by everyone.
Enjoyment: 6
It is well-paced and sometimes really exciting. But as I wrote before, the quantity of fan service really throws this off. The characters are always naive and that makes the anime a little less interesting.
Overall: 5/10
This anime had the potential to be REALLY fun. It is worth your time if you don't have anything else to watch, but if you have another thing in mind, just skip this.

In short:
If you want an anime that has some gore, seinen themes, and some nonsense action, this is for you! If you want a deep-thinking battle shonen, maybe you should look for another anime.
Intro:
Golden Kamuy is a fun anime, where you get involved in a plot that is a little bit strange, but also really fun. The story is set in Hokkaido, and the studio even hired an Ainu (an ancient tribe that lives in Hokkaido) language expert for the parts where the language is spoken. This brought an immersive aspect to the anime.
Animation: 7
It is well animated. The style looks a bit like Jojo's
...
(Araki's art style) but at the same time, it's not as exaggerated as Jojo is. It feels nice, but nothing too beautiful.
Sound: 6
It has some parts that are fun, and nothing feels off. It's average.
Character: 8/10
Maybe this is the best part of the anime. All the characters are really fun and engaging. As the first season, it didn't have any deep character development, but I think the writer didn't actually care too much about that. All the characters just have their own personalities and are really fun to watch. Looking forward to the next seasons to see if they get better.
Story: 7/10
To be honest, the story is fun. For a first season, the world is rich and feels like it will get more development later. The mystery behind it is really interesting, and the good old "war never changes" feeling is good, too.
Enjoyment: 8/10
It's really fast-paced, fun, and sometimes really exciting. You want to watch more of it. The only downside is some "filler" that has nothing to do with the story and feels like, "Oh c'mon, you didn't need to add this." Or some parts that are fun, like learning about the Ainu Tribe, etc... But sometimes just dragged the story out a little too much.
Overall: 7/10
It's a good anime, above average. If you ignore some of the bullshit in the anime, you will have fun and it will be worth your time.

In short:
If you want an anime that is fast-paced with magic, cute girls, and a dark story, go for it. If you don't like the "shoujo" aesthetic and want something that takes itself more seriously, I don't think you will enjoy this.
Intro:
Madoka Magica is one of the most important anime for the Mahou Shoujo genre. It changed the way Mahou Shoujo is made and brought a darker theme to it. Its importance isn't just that the story is deep (because, honestly, it feels a little generic nowadays), but because our expectations as viewers get totally subverted. Let's get to the scores:
Animation: 8
It is well animated.
...
The style of the anime changes between the "cute girls" aesthetic and an exotic, almost surreal art style when they are fighting. The framing and the speed of the fights are really uncommon. It's cute, it's dark, and it really delivers the intended vibe, contrasting the "peaceful world" with "the chaos" that the studio wanted to create.
Sound: 6
I'm no sound expert, but it had a lot of cool music and cool sounds. Nothing that is "oh my god, so good," but nothing that feels off. It's average and a solid work, but nothing too exceptional.
Character: 6/10
Well, to be fair, this is a 12-episode anime, so it wasn't possible to have deep character development. Of course, the "hope and dreams" of the girls are smashed now and then, but nothing too wild that change the character. Some parts make you think, "Really? She accepted that, that easily?" It tries to be deep, but it kinda doesn't work...
Story: 8/10
The story, for a 12-episode anime, was well-built. It has a beginning, middle, and end. It doesn't give you too much detail, but it doesn't leave too many loose ends either. The plot twist in this show is good, and the story held me until the end. The mystery is also well-built and, well, it makes some sense. But it's an anime where "hope and pureness" are destroyed every time, and sometimes that just doesn't make much sense.
Enjoyment: 7
It's enjoyable. Just don't think it's a masterpiece. Go in without overthinking it too much, and you will have fun. Forget some details that don't have any deep explanation, and be happy. I guess.
Overall: 7/10
It's a good anime. Above average. But sometimes it just doesn't connect or have deeper explanations for things that would be fun to know. The main hook and the main story are fun, but the end is just "ok". It's an important anime that changed the mahou shoujo genre, but I actually don't enjoy the genre too much, so for me, a 7/10 is a good score.

In short:
If you're into the cyberpunk genre and like a chaotic, dystopian future, this is for you! It has aged well and is still a fun watch. If you don't like stories where "the world is degenerated" and not everything is explained clearly, well, this might not be for you.
Intro:
Akira is a landmark in the cyberpunk genre. Some people say it was Akira that brought anime and manga to the wider world, especially the US, and made it popular with a younger audience. So, if you care about the "history" of anime, you should stop and watch this movie.
Art: 10
Akira changed the way anime was
...
made, and the techniques used in the movie were truly game-changing. Especially in the voice acting, they recorded the voices before animating the characters' mouth movements (a process called pre-scoring). So, if you're listening in Japanese, you'll see the lip-syncing is incredibly good.
To be fair, watching it in 2025, the animation has of course aged a little bit. I like the old-style anime, but it's not "clean" like shows are nowadays (of course). But it would be unfair to give any score below 10, because it truly changed the way anime was produced. The action scenes are really good, too, and that old-school vibe is just great.
Story: 6
I mean, I liked the story, but some topics are too broad and not explained in the movie as well as they are in the manga. (If you like the movie, you should definitely read the manga; it's really deep and well-written!)
To be spoiler-free, it's a story that opens A LOT of questions and fails to deliver the answers to all of them. It's fine, you'll have fun, but it feels rushed in many scenes.
Sound: 7
I'm no sound expert by any means. So my opinion is just based on whether the anime had any sounds that sounded off, or if I have anything to remember (memorable music or a great dub). It's good, but not awesome.
Characters: 5
The movie has 3 main characters and a lot of side characters. I think because it's a movie, they couldn't go deep and develop all of them, but not even the protagonists or the antagonist are well-developed. I think that's the biggest downside of this movie. It didn't have any memorable or impactful characters, either.
Enjoyment: 6
It's a good movie. But for me, the chaotic vibe was a little bit too unrealistic and threw me off. The story held me until the end, but I can't say I was fully engaged.
Overall: 7 (good)
Akira is one of the most important animated movies ever made, not just because it's a good movie overall, but because of the popularity it brought to anime in the West. You should watch it if you're into anime, but keep in mind that the story is from a manga made in the 80s.

Monster is slow, really slow, but that’s exactly what makes it so engaging. It takes its time to build tension, flesh out its characters, and craft one of the smartest, most psychologically gripping stories in anime. The ending divides the community, but love it or hate it, it leaves a lasting impression.
Animation: 8/10
The realistic art style hasn’t aged perfectly, but it still looks great for its time. You can tell the animators put real effort into every scene, especially the backgrounds and cityscapes, which are impressively detailed. Even the side characters feel alive and expressive. Sure, some of the older men look suspiciously similar, but
...
that’s a minor flaw. Overall, it’s not visually stunning by today’s standards, but it perfectly delivers what it intends to.
Sound: 9/10
I’m no sound expert, but the audio design in Monster really works. The music isn’t overused, the silence hits when it needs to, and the voice acting (Japanese version) fits every moment perfectly. The inclusion of a recognizable song was also a nice touch, subtle, but effective. The sound direction creates an atmosphere that constantly keeps you on edge.
Characters: 9/10
I really liked the duality between the “hero” and the “antagonist,” but at times I expected a bit more humanity from both sides. It’s hard to explain without spoilers, but sometimes the characters feel a little too black and white. The good are good, and the bad are bad, with not much gray in between. I know that it is the premise of the anime, but feels off.
That said, the character development is fantastic. Almost every major and side character has depth and purpose, and there are barely any loose ends. Each one grows in a believable way that makes the story feel alive and cohesive.
Monster does an excellent job exploring the psychological and moral aspects of its characters, their minds, motivations, and transformations. This focus on mental and emotional development is one of the anime’s greatest strengths and what makes the entire journey so memorable.
Story: 10/10
A masterpiece of storytelling. Every episode builds tension and meaning, slowly pulling you deeper into the mystery. It’s the kind of narrative that makes you crave the next episode, not because of cliffhangers, but because you need to understand what drives these people.
The only downside is the ending, which feels a bit vague, but it’s intentional. It leaves room for interpretation while still providing closure. The pacing is slow, but the payoff is worth every minute.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Yes, Monster drags in places. Some arcs could’ve been shorter, and there are moments where you just want to get back to the main plot. But even the slower side stories end up adding something valuable once you see the bigger picture and contribute to the main story.
Despite its pacing, the series never stops being interesting. It’s the kind of anime that demands patience, and rewards it with incredible payoff.
Overall: 9/10
Don’t watch Monster expecting hype battles or flashy moments. This is a slow-burn psychological thriller that focuses on human nature, morality, and the darkness within.
If you enjoy deep character drama, complex psychology, and a realistic, post-war European setting, this anime is absolutely worth your time. It’s not loud, not flashy, just pure, intelligent storytelling at its best.

In short: Good. Not amazing, but good.
If you want something deep, fast-paced, or groundbreaking, skip it. But if you watch it at your own pace, without overthinking, it’ll entertain you.
Simple plot, wholesome vibes, and chill pacing, perfect for when you just want to relax. There’s a bit of fan service, but nothing crazy. The MC is strong, but not a “cold-blooded genius” or a “saintly hero”. He’s just an adult enjoying life with a few overpowered perks. It’s more about his daily life and bonds with friends and family than epic battles or complex drama.
The art is surprisingly good, and some fight scenes are fun
...
to watch. But… in my opinion, the battles lack purpose or real motivation. Sometimes it feels like the show just thought, “Why not throw in some action here?” You could skip some fight scenes and go straight to the dialogue without missing much. The tension and reasons for fighting are pretty weak... Definitely a downside.
The characters are also a bit too plain. Everyone comes off as overly naïve, and while the anime clearly doesn’t aim to be mysterious or deep, it ends up feeling a little too shallow.
So again: if you just want an anime to “turn off your brain, chill, and watch,” you’ll have fun.
Overall Stats:
MC: 7/10
Side Characters: 5/10
Art: 7/10
Fight Scenes: 6/10
Plot: 5/10

Lately, I've been looking for an anime that's fun to watch, but not too heavy.
No "Oh my god, my family was killed and now I'm a cold-blooded warrior" drama.
This anime is good.
Is it stupid? Yes.
Is it simple? Also yes.
But when I finished it, I just said: "Oh my god, that was good."
The main character isn’t a boring, naive adult that everyone manipulates, nor some genius mastermind.
He’s just… normal. And fun, with strengths and flaws like a real person.
The waifus aren’t your typical tsundere or immature clichés.
...
Sure, it’s a bit sexualized, but not in the "Oops! Here's a random side-boob!" kind of way.
She knows what she wants, and it’s expressed naturally, without relying on cheap fanservice.
The side characters are simple, but well-developed and enjoyable.
A really fun and genuinely satisfying anime to watch. Highly recommended.

At first, I have to say: this anime is good. I'm usually not into slow-paced anime, especially the kind where every episode feels like a mini detective story. But this one got me.
I wouldn't say it deserves the super high score it currently has on MAL, but yeah, it offers a solid story and manages to stay interesting most of the time.
In short:
Give this anime a try. It's good—just don't go in expecting it to be mind-blowing. The art is beautiful, and the overall experience is enjoyable.
Now, for more detailed thoughts (still spoiler-free):
Animation – 9/10
The visuals are crisp, clean, and seriously pretty. Definitely a step
...
above your average seasonal show. Not quite perfect, but honestly close.
Story – 6/10
It’s fun, engaging, and has a strong central plot. At first, you might think: “Oh great, another anime with a super ‘overpowered’ main character who’s cold, calculating, and solves everything like it’s nothing.”
And… yeah, you're not wrong. That does happen.
But the funny moments actually land, and there are some surprisingly emotional scenes. So even if the MC is always the smartest in the room, it doesn’t ruin the vibe.
That said, I usually dislike when shows make everyone else dumb just to make the MC look smart—but hey, it kind of works here.
Characters – 6/10
As mentioned above: our MC is brilliant. Everyone else? Not so much.
Not dumb enough to make you mad, but sometimes you’ll be like, “Wait… the child figured it out but none of the high-ranking officials could? Really?”
Anyway—if you can overlook that, the characters are pleasant. There's not a ton of development, and even the antagonists get off kinda lightly.
Still, the main duo is fun and well-written, so props for that.
OP & ED – [?/10]
Okay, I listened to both once. They were nice.
But honestly, I’m the type who skips OPs and EDs after the first episode, so… yeah. They exist. That’s a plus?
Final thoughts:
A lovely anime that might not blow your mind, but definitely worth your time. It has heart, humor, and some really clean animation.
Just don’t expect a masterpiece—and you’ll have a good time.

[BR EM BAIXO]
Will try to be really quick. This has a little bit of spoilers, nothing that changes your experience with this anime...
The anime starts off good, but is destroyed by its own stupidy. The characters are dumb as hell, and any explanation about "oh this happened, yay" is simply really accepted.
Yes, the story is based at "oh look, the super humans have feelings and they are rotten inside", but wtf... Everything makes no sense.
The main character is a girl who doesn't have special power, BUT she lies to everyone that her special power is "reading minds"... And she needs to ask to someone
...
"write" their superpower at a book... And she just wrongly says a lot of thing that a person who read minds would easily know, and after that says something really dumb, like... She setted a trap to the IMMORTAL MAN, saying straight to him "Oh, the cat must be hungry UwU", it backfires, and after she discovering his super power, she procceds to: "Oh your super power is being imortal? Be REALLY SURPRISED ABOUT YOUR SUPER POWER, and after SAYS: OH I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT YOUR SUPER POWER, THAT'S WHY I WASN'T WORRY".... AAAAAAAAAAAA *BRAIN MELTING*
"Oh my god this girl started dating a guy and he suddenly died", "Oh, she was getting along with another person and he died as well what a coincidente huh", "oh, SHE WAS F FOUND ALONE WITH SOMEONE RECENTLY KILLED, WITH THE F PHOTO OF SHE KILLING SOMEONE"... Well, actually The excuse was: "he was sick or something attacked him with a curse, and the photo is wrong" :)................ And yes, she got away with that excuse....................
"LOOK I HAVE THE POWER TO BRING BACK THE DEAD AND ASK HIM WHAT KILLED HIM, BUT... I WILL PLACE HIM BACK IN THE COFFIN BECAUSE THE BRAT, THAT JUST ASKED IF SHE KNEW SOMETHING ABOUT HIS SOUL, IS SAYING THAT HIS SOUL... IS... SCREAMING......"
And the most acceptable character in the story is the guy who is a "detective", he is shown to us to be like the Smart badass guy, but actually feels like a bellow-average IQ guy inside a asylum of dumb people. And well, he is dumb too.
I couldn't watch the rest of the anime, I felt dumber and dumber in every episode, like my brain was melting or something like that, that's why I, who never wrote a review, tried to write it, to warn you guys and to train my english. Maybe I get some IQ back after that and save you guys to become dumber.

Ah, vamos começar a suspeitar dessa mina né?
NÃO. NÃO VAMOS, ELA DEU A DESCULPA QUE FOI ALGUM MONSTRO DA ILHA. "Ah entao suave".
Você pensa: Puts, acabou pra ela, deu ruim...
P NENHUMA, ELA INVENTA UMA DESCULPA DO NADA, E SIMPLESMENTE O DETETIVE ACREDITA. COISA DE "AH, ALGUEM INVISÍVEL ATACOU A GENTE COM UMA MALDIÇÃO E ELE MORREU, OU ELE TINHA ALGUMA DOENÇA E FOI FAZER ALGO COMIGO E MORREU DE ATAQUE CARDÍACO." AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
NESSA MESMA CENA, TEM UMA FOTO DELA MATANDO OUTRO CARA, E ELA FALA "AH ESSE PODER DO CARA QUE ERA 100%, NÃO É 100%, ELE ERROU"................... E SIM, ELA SAIU DESSA DESSE JEITO..........
