Akame ga Kill!
------------
Story - 6
The plot of the anime is about a boy who travels with his two friends to the Capital. He's taken in by a seemingly hospitable noble family but then discovers the Capital's corruption. He then joins Night Raid, an organization formed to overthrow the corrupt government. The story is structured pretty well and flows nicely. I just hope that there would be more unexpected plot twists like the main characters dying...
Art - 6
For an anime released in 2014, the art and animation aren't too bad. But of course, it can't compare to shows like Nanatsu no Taizai and Tokyo Ghoul. The
...
character designs resemble those of 2010 anime characters. Everything else is pretty standard.
Sound - 8
The first opening theme song, "Skyreach," fits the show's theme very well. The opening instrumental indicates action while the lyrics describe how the characters long for a new world. The first ending theme song, "Konna Sekai, Shiritakunakatta," also fits the theme of the show. It tells a story of pain and overcoming it. My personal favorite is "Liar Mask" by Rika Mayama. "Liar Mask" is the second opening theme song of Akame ga Kill! You can't help but feel the emotion. The second ending theme song and the last song on this list is "Tsuki Akari" by Sora Amamiya. Honestly, this one didn't hit as hard as the other ones. Overall, all of these theme songs make sense and convey the nature of the anime excellently.
Character - 3
Here comes the death and gore! It seems like there are at least five deaths an episode. I understand that it's the whole theme of the anime, but the amount of violence and death in this show is frankly unnecessary. The worst part of the show is the time period. Obviously, this is a fictional world, but man is it confusing! You have cities from the Middle Ages, but you also have people in clothes from the 20th and 21st centuries. Weapons in this world include purple panda scissors and demon dogs armed with guns and missiles. Not to mention, the members of Night Raid dress up in their own colors, making them look like Power Rangers. To top it all off, their personalities are really boring.
Enjoyment - 7
Despite the atrocious characters, the anime itself is pretty nice. It was definitely worth my time. If you're just bored and looking for something to watch, I recommend Akame ga Kill!
Overall - 6
A good attempt, but the characters are just too ridiculous. Do you like Power Rangers? Well here's a 24-episode animated version with more violence. Do you need to overthrow an empire? Don't devise a plan, you fool! Instead, you should assemble a squad of people who use demon dragon armor, swords that kill you when you clean it, giant laser-firing sniper rifles, some string, panda scissors, and a belt that turns you into a catgirl.

100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
-------------------------------------
Story - 2
This is one of the most boring plots in anime that I have ever watched. The only watchable episode was the first. It all went downhill from there. Almost nothing in this anime is even remotely original. Other unoriginal anime make up for this with interesting characters or cool art, but this anime has neither of those. The main character is transported into another world with classes and abilities. His starting class is a farmer and he's disappointed, as would be expected. Even if this concept is insanely boring, they didn't have to absolutely butcher
...
it in the way that they did.
Art - 4
Considering this was aired in October 2020, the art and animation were mediocre. I'm aware that the characters' designs were taken from the 2016 manga, but they could be mistaken for anime characters from 2010. Much of the land was barren and the color of the grass was extremely saturated, making it look like a cartoon instead of an animated TV show.
Sound - 5
The opening, "Anti World," sounds really annoying to me for some reason. After the first ten seconds, it starts to become more bearable to listen to. The rest of the song is actually pretty nice. "Carpe Diem" is the ending theme of the anime. Honestly, this was a huge mistake. Now it looks AND sounds like a cartoon. The song just doesn't go with the genre of the anime. When I hear that song, it makes me think of a harem anime involving lolis.
Character - 1
I won't even have to say anything because it's so blatantly obvious. The characters are an absolute mess. I don't know how they accomplished it, but they somehow made weebs in anime even more unlikeable. The main character is a loner and outcast who becomes respected. Let's see what other anime have a character like this...KonoSuba, TenSura, Shield Hero, etc.
Enjoyment - 2
It's as though they had an incomplete thought and turned it into an anime. It seems like they drained all of their ideas on the first episode and the remaining episodes were thought up on the spot. I had no idea that 92% of an anime could be filler. If you watch one episode a week, you usually won't get bored of an anime. That does not apply to this show.
Overall - 3
There is nothing about the actual plot that is good. The only reason that I give this show a 3 is because the art was okay and the opening theme was pretty good. If you have about 20 minutes to spare with no anime to watch, I guess the first episode isn't horrible. If you intend to complete the entire anime, please proceed with caution.

Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale
--------------------------------
Story - 8
The Augma itself is an interesting concept. My only concern is that they have already used the same plot twice: a new device comes out, people die, Kirito investigates why. Nevertheless, everything else worked very well.
Art - 9
Whether you enjoyed the anime or not, I think we can all agree the art is superb for its genre. In the fighting scenes, however, I would've liked to see more detail. Fortunately, this was added in the later seasons. Spectacular animation.
Sound - 7
Near the end of the movie, Kirito and the gang are in a boss fight. The music that
...
was playing was the old music from the first season of Sword Art Online. While the music was nice, I expected something more exciting to conclude the fight.
Character - 6
The only original characters that we see any development from are Kirito and Asuna. And this "development" is just them reaffirming their love for each other. But since this is a movie, I'll let it slide. Eiji is one of the antagonists of the film. Honestly, his background is very bland. He's a guy who likes a girl. The girl dies, so he becomes depressed. The girl's father and developer of the Augma, Shigemura Tetsuhiro, is also a very unoriginal character. He's depressed after his daughter dies and goes too far in an attempt to revive her. The characters from the first season are also somewhat bland.
Overall - 7
If you've enjoyed the first two seasons of Sword Art Online, I would highly recommend this movie. It's simple, yet stimulating. The art and music make sense. The new characters leave much to be desired, though. Everything aside, it's a very solid movie.

Sword Art Online: Extra Edition
--------------------------
Story - 6
Even though it is not stated anywhere, I would assume that this would be a recap of the first season of Sword Art Online. Although they did a good job summarizing the season, the episode itself was not presented very well. Firstly, pool episodes are ridiculously overused. Not to mention, the pool scene lasted about five minutes. In the last 20 minutes, the characters go on a quest. This was the only original thing in the episode, but it turned out very rushed, and overall it wasn't a good way to conclude the episode.
Art, Sound, & Character - 7
Everything
...
has been carried over from Sword Art Online, so there's nothing new to rate. The art, sounds and characters are all solid in my eyes.
Overall - 5
For a recap, this episode is mediocre at best. We didn't gain any further insight into any of the characters, so there would be no reason to watch this episode specifically if you know what's going on in the SAO storyline. Even for a recap, this episode could have been so much more.

Story:
At first, it was an interesting concept. But in the later episodes, it started it feel unoriginal and rushed. The main characters just seem to wander around aimlessly. The plot is very repetitive and uninteresting.
Art & Sound:
Art is solid. There's not much else to say. The opening and ending themes are pretty standard as well. Something I hope for in future anime is that they'll add more exciting theme songs for action shows. Light music doesn't necessarily bother me, but upbeat openings make you so much more enthusiastic. Take Attack on Titan's openings for example. They elicit a sense of nostalgia every time I hear
...
them.
Character:
Again, it grew worse and worse the more episodes I watched. I believe the MC being naive was the anime's last minute attempt of adding depth to characters, but it did not present itself well. Instead of naivety, I see foolishness. It is deeply unsatisfying and hard to watch.

This was the most disturbing "anime" I have ever watched. When you sort anime by release date, this always seems to come up first. I was curious as to what it was and so I watched it. I have never regretted anything more in my life.
The sounds the creatures produce are basically moans. All of these so-called creatures are very distorted and unsettling to look at. The second half of the anime is probably the worst part. A large amount of moaning, shouting, and...indecent exposure is involved.
The ONLY good thing is that it's three minutes long. If you're going to watch this video, please isolate
...
yourself from pets and children.

Something that I like about this anime is its art style. Before I watched Doulou Dalu, I only liked the regular 2D art style that most anime used. However, it seems to work for this type of genre. It makes the fight scenes cooler than they would've been in 2D.
One of the only issues I have is that none of the characters really develop except for the MC; everyone has the same personality.
Overall, it's a great anime. The MC retained his knowledge from his past life and uses it to his advantage. It's very satisfying seeing him becoming stronger and unlocking new abilities. For those
...
that enjoy the anime, it's very difficult to stop watching.
