For New Game that catalyst is Aoba Suzukaze and for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid that is Miss Kobayashi and Tohru Kobayashi -Both series have a plethora of comedic scenes and have the ability to instantly change the mood at any given point - The art styles of the two series are quite similar -Both series introduce new characters partway through and create new and interesting dynamics with different levels of comedy, tension, etc. -Both series have a bunch of pairs of characters with close relationships, whether it be due to their pasts before the start of the series or it developing within the series itself

Both series involve beings from another world coming to Earth and learning about the world. Both major characters, Sadao Maou and Tohru Kobayashi both struggle with adjusting to the rules and regulations of society and because of this a lot of comedy is created from their confusion and interactions. Also both series introduce more characters from the same magical world who bring in more comedy through their own unique struggles and all the different characters learn to deal with human society and the issues involving their world together.
