While in a writing mood I might as well give this one a go as well.
Watched the series a short while ago and what can I say:
It’s pretty good. For the first part…
The series has a thrilling plot going on… in the begging. It’s interesting, you feel for protagonist (since anyone can get in similar position for no reason what so ever), the atmosphere, which starts off with the series, suits the theme and you start craving to watch one episode after another.
Why so many “first part”s and “in the begging” one might ask? Well… By a certain point in the middle of this
...
25-episode series you start to get the “Oh no, I know where this is going… I’ve seen this a million times before… oh please, heavens, no, don’t do this… OH YOU SON OF A …! BETRAYAL! (©Spoony)” vibes. Yeah… I did feel bad at this point, while forwarding through pretentious dialogs, fight scenes and other types of typical cliché trash. And I do suggest you not drop the series completely when you stumble at this point of realization, because THERE ACTUALLY ARE good scenes buried under that mess.
Should you watch? Yeah. Just be aware! Be very aware! And you won’t be as disappointed!
7/10

Just finished the series in a big run and I need to get this off my chest. The series is THAT good! G.CMay, please, make more anime this cool, I don’t care how many Cornetto’s you’ll be showing in my face (you’ll get it if you’re not an abridged fanboy)!
Anyway, the review.
If you're tired of the common japanese style anime, take a look at what guys at G.CMay are doing. Visuals are gorgeous, characters are gorgeous, sound is beautifull, the atmosphere is ... good. Yeah. It lacks sometimes. But only sometimes! The story is gripping, the characters are lively and shhhweet, the concept is pretty
...
well. This just makes me want to give a big hug to the big part of the characters there.
The series are based on a novel and I'm not actually sure how good the transition was made. I did get confused at a couple of points here and there during the course of the series, but the final episode made it clear as day. Cloudy day... I had to backtrack to the first few series to get a good grip at what the hell was going on. Most likely you will too (or actually I advise to go watch the first few episodes after the last one to get things completely “straight”! See what I did? Mm?).
The biggest bane now is that the second season will be out somewhere around autumn of 2019… (Give it a like if you’re reading it as a distant time traveler from ways beyond my current standpoint in time!)
P.S: 10/10
P.P.S: The synopsis is partly a load of bull. I read it and got confused. It's like the thing they place on the back cover of a book to describe the story, same bsht.

Oh yeah, second season of the somewhat charming red panda Retsuko.
In case you’re not familiar with all this — go check out season one, what are you doing here, you silly?!
Anyway, the review. Might be a small drop of spoiler in here, but just on the overall action.
The story continues well from the first season, not as much hardcore rock music popping up now though. Three capital vices are strongly affecting the series — sloth, envy and pride. Mainly the first one.
The story actually works out great in showing how not getting sht done, getting sht done and pushing waaay to hard to
...
get sht done can affect you. It all needs to be balanced around the midpoint of getting sht done. And not to mention, that — only you need to decide on what will work for you! Not your mom and dad.
The animation’s great for the series, music’s sweet and the plot makes you keep going with one episode after another (thank heavens that there are only 10 episodes (or not (sadface))).
Should you watch — yes!
///Spumblers and stonks///
Getting back on cardinals and getting sht done — Retsuko is so unassertive. Pushed by her boss, her colleagues and even her parents. The final episode made me actually sad for Retsy. You actually hit the jackpot but everyone just pushed you all over the place.
And logically, why would you want to listen to all those guys anyway?
Ton clearly is stuck in his “complete” life (wife, kids, work, golf and booze sometimes).
Gori and Washimi have complications with their “second halves” so getting advice from them on BFF terms is silly.
Haida is just interested in you, but hey, you don’t know that because solo he can’t make a move (so we pass on that).
And mom is just wedding crazy, it should’ve catch on pretty early.
Actually, now that I think of it, only Anai, was ok.
And alas, people pushed poor Retsy into a bad move.
Love and Life doesn’t work this way, Retsy. Like in “Shawshanks” geology – it takes pressure and time.
So the moral’s this — don’t be unassertive, don’t be greedy, don’t fall into your ego and don’t be lazy. The life is your oyster, be smart about it!
P.S: I had to write this and get it off my chest. That's a sign of a good series! Right? Sure it is!

A lot of animated series fall into a similar trap of making the protagonist overpowered to an extreme. And this particular series went into making a Mary Sue.
Unfortunately, that once you completely realize that the protagonist is a Sue, which happens by about 6th episode, you sadly keep watching because the world and story surrounding the protagonist is quite decent.
It’s interesting most of the time to watch how world works, skipping through a ton of pretentious dialogs and fights of the protagonist.
It even gives a slight feel that the world might be living outside of the protagonist line of sight!
But alas,
...
deeper into the series you also notice that you’re skipping more and more of the episode just to get to the point. You actually stop caring about the main hero and want to know more about certain other characters or antagonists by this point.
Overall, I’d score it to be somewhere between 6 and 7. Good idea, good setup but mediocre development.
