Charlotte and kamisama ni natta hi its greatest recent atrocities, the biggest factor i believe these works fail is because they tried to have great plots and twists when they would work better if they were simpler works with a lighter, more relatable drama, but luckily aquatope didn't fell under the curse of previous PA Works shows and that's why it managed to be so good
aquatope's story is about an aquarium that is about to go bankrupt due to management problems and lack of visitors, at first what I expected from this story was an exploration of common work situations, but the first half of the anime goes in a little direction. different from what I imagined, mainly due to the fact that at first the story seems to be much more an emotional discussion about dreams and purposes than about the work itself, this happens mainly because of the emotional state of the protagonists at the beginning of the story, where fuuka has just lost his dream and motivation and is no longer sure what he wants to do kukuru tries to fight as hard as he can for his virtually impossible dream of saving the aquarium, my biggest problem with the first half of aquatope is that the development still didn't seem like much. lucid for me, first of all because at the beginning of the story everything seemed very childish in relation to the kukuru character, we even understood. To the point why she is so attached to the aquarium enough to take a lot of irresponsible and irresponsible actions, but the problem is that few of these reckless and immature actions generated real consequences that resulted in character development, an example of this is when she literally calls for a pregnant woman to the aquarium to examine the penguins and this results in a relatively serious accident but the most that happens to her is being scolded by her grandfather who owns the aquarium, it seems very much at the beginning of the work that kukuru is just a spoiled child who doesn't know reality well, but who can play the role of director because his grandfather owns the aquarium, this unfortunately also ends up influencing Fuuka's character who had lost his dreams and ends up deciding that he's going to help kukuru realize the her
although this beginning seems a bit aimless it is important for the characters, in fuuka's case for her to rediscover herself and overcome her frustrations and important for kukuru in the sense that she is going through a phase of loss (both her parents and the aquarium ) and that she has to overcome this and start to fade away little by little, but even though the beginning seems aimless it is still a pleasant and relaxing anime to watch, this is mainly due to the great technical effort of the PA Works studio in setting us up in that world and make the work very enjoyable to watch
After many events the aquarium is finally forced to close, Kukuru is very shaken by this, but with Fuuka's help she manages to accept this loss but without losing expectations for the future, she decides to go work in a new aquarium, she manages to joining the job thanks to her grandfather's recommendation and this is where I would say that the aquatope story really starts to take a more lucid path of development. Upon entering the new job, kukuru is faced with several situations that make her realize what she was like. innocent about what a real work environment is, such as having to take on tasks she doesn't like or hold positions she doesn't want, dealing with disagreements between co-workers, recognizing her own incompetence and mistakes at various times, consequently she will gradually maturing with each of these situations, fuuka also goes through a good development throughout history, she started as someone frustrated and aimless after having lost. her dream, but after working in the aquarium she discovers a new dream to dedicate herself to, she also continues to help kukuru, but this time not as a way to fill the void that came with her disappointments, but out of genuine concern
it also has some surprising secondary character arcs throughout the second half, which even address some interesting themes of difficulties in the professional world, such as the haebaru chiyu arc, which tangentially shows some of the difficulties that single mothers go through to integrate into the job market, other secondary characters don't have as much development, but still has a pleasant presence that generates some fun interactions, light and even more emotional when needed, often these emotional moments are transmitted through a supposed "miracle" that thankfully it doesn't turn into a fancy plot that changes the whole story and kills characters (sounds absurd, but it actually happens in some PA Works animes...) it's just a resource to show the character's mind and create emotional moments with it
overall aquatope is definitely an anime that's worth it for those who like a slice of life, it starts with a rhythm in the middle that is off-kilter but still pleasant and fun to watch, from the middle onwards it becomes a work with a more development clear and rewarding, in my case it was a great experience to see PA Works go back to making slice-of-life animes that didn't see time travel animes and fights against evil criminal organizations that want to take over the world (I'm serious about this already it really happened)
that was it, if anyone actually read my big boring text so far thank you so much and i'm sorry for wasting your time

Mixed Feelings Preliminary
(6/12 eps)
before starting this review i want you to know that i am using the translator to write so my english is going to suck, i also want to say this is just my personal opinion and irrelevant so if anyone reads this (which i dont think it will happen kkk) no need to be upset, I'm also open to discussions if you want to have a friendly chat of course.
Komi-san is the hottest anime this season, as a fan of life, I raised my expectations because this genre unfortunately doesn't get the attention it deserves, but I can't deny that I was disappointed. I'll talk first ... about what I consider the highlight of the anime so far which is its big first episode. At first what impressed me the most about komi-san was the great creativity of his direction, I don't know much about technical aspects, but I think anyone watching will see that the first episode was very well directed, the way they used color to broadcast the feelings of the characters, the fluid animation and the creative use of subtitles, speaking in terms of story and character, the first episode was also very interesting, as it starts with a proposal with potential, which is the drama that people with communication disorders suffer in your daily life, but unfortunately these qualities are very limited to the premise. now I'm going to talk about what I consider the biggest problem with this anime, which are its characters. I'm going to start talking about komi-san as she and the biggest highlight of this work, komi-san, as mentioned earlier, is a girl who has a communication disorder, although it's an interesting drama, I would say the way it works is not very good in the first place because this drama is everything the character is, it literally has no traces anymore besides, a lot is due to the fact that she is never brought up all her thoughts and attitudes are conveyed to us through the subtitles and the speech of other characters, the most we can get from her are some expressions, the anime never digs deep into the character's mind to try to show us some other side of her personality, worldview, or even her reflections on her life and conflicts, it's almost like she was an allegory to represent people with communication disorders, but I would say that even in that her character fails, as I don't feel that komi-san really goes through the problems that this kind of p people usually pass, people who have difficulty communicating with others are often discriminated against and excluded, in some cases they are even abused due to their behavior different from the usual one, but the only thing that komi-san suffers is just the fact of not being able to talk, other than that all people don't have any strangeness about their actions, on the contrary, she is idolized and treated like a goddess because of her appearance, I honestly don't feel that this is a situation that anyone with a communication disorder (or even people who went through problems at school and ended up isolating themselves) can sympathize or identify with. The other characters are also superficial, in general they are all character archetypes usually present in school animes and other genres, only with one difference that their personalities are much more exaggerated, unless you find them to be funny and amusing, I don't believe you will be able to get something else out of them, because like Komi-san herself, none of them have a deeper insight into their personalities or stories that make them more interesting. they're just what their name says about them no less. I'll take the time to talk about a character that frustrated me, that character and agari himiko, she was introduced as a character who also has difficulty relating with people, but unlike komi-san who can't express herself properly, agari's case has more to do with an inferiority complex and a fear of relating to others, a very interesting conflict, but one that was thrown into garbage due to the superficial way in which this was developed, in her episode agari was being watched by komi-san who wanted to get closer and try to talk, but of course they were both having difficulties to relate to agari because of her fear of being watched and komi -san not knowing how to approach her, the episode unfolds halfway like that, until out of nowhere agari just loses his fear of communicating and starts talking to her all of a sudden without them even having a conversation that would lead them to understand each other or get closer in some way to get to that situation, as if it wasn't enough to take all this conflict and resolve it overnight, we also see that agari has a masochistic side and wants to be the "puppy " by komi-san, honestly this was a very insensitive representation of people who have an inferiority complex and for a work that is committed to talking about people who have difficulty interacting it really leaves a bad image, I didn't want to think about it, but me leaves a horrible impression that just because agari is chubby and not so pretty, she doesn't deserve as much attention and sensitivity as komi-san in acting out their problems. Comedy is almost completely subjective and unfortunately komi-san's comedy didn't please me either, every comedy has key jokes that are often repeated a few times, but I think komi-san elevates it to another level to the point where I end up getting tired halfway through the episodes it's so repetitive, also the direction that was something I had praised in the first episode, I feel it gets softer and less daring as the episodes go by, simply replicating the original without adding features to make them more interesting for an animated adaptation. Anyway these were my opinions on komi-san, if anyone has really read this big boring text so far, thank you so much and sorry for wasting your time

Mixed Feelings
first of all this evaluation comes from someone who likes shingeki (or at least did), according to my english it will be shit because i'm using translator to write this, third this is just my superficial opinion if you don't agree you don't need to stay annoyed (I doubt anyone will read this but let me know), so I'll start.
shingeki is a work that despite having some flaws, mainly in creating interesting characters and having many script conveniences, was still a work that I liked a lot. One of the things I most admire about shingeki is its beginning, it manages to establish the your ... world, introducing your characters create a conflict that instantly binds you to the story, shingeki uses the typical strategy of a beginning with tragedy to impress the reader, but the way he uses this strategy sincerely is the best I've seen in a manga, sets a very interesting world in a chaotic situation, presents the characters and their relationships in a very organic way, slowly builds a heavy atmosphere for the tragedy that's going to happen, does all these things in a short period of time, but it does so well that it is enough for us to have the impact of the great theaged that takes place. Now that I would say the snk problems begin. As I've said this work was very good at establishing its elements, but it's not that good (not to mention bad) at deepening and developing them properly, I think this is mainly due to the fact that the narrative is very frantic and never slows down the speed with which things happen, although it holds you to a certain point in the story because there is always a climax on top of a climax, things like world construction and characters suffer from that. I'll talk about the characters, most snk characters are pretty shallow, they rarely have story arcs that delve into their personalities to add more interesting traits to them, the most they have is a sad past, but characters aren't the their past, characters are what they do in the narrative present, you can't expect me to empathize with the sad past of characters who barely had relevant dialogue if you go deeper into your conflicts, flashbacks are resources to give context to the actions of characters we know and have grown fond of in the present of the story, you can't build the entire character based on a flashback, but even with these problems I would say the characters are still functional, minus eren and mikasa.now I'm going to talk about world building that despite its flaws, is still much better in relation to the characters, as I've said before, the snk world has several interesting things, but instead of delving into the particularities of this world, the work is more concerned about what the plan will be to kill the next titan, rather than pausing for a second to explore the social situation within the walls it immediately moves to the next climax of action, so much so that various things about the universe are just mentioned briefly in the work and never appear again, like the underground city that appears a little in Kenny's flashback and again a little earlier. I'm going to talk a little now about something I really like about this work, which is the action, despite having some heavier themes and having a more serious atmosphere in general, snk is fundamentally a battle shounen, but its fights have particularities that the differs a lot from other shounen. Unlike other shounen anime that fights are based on super powers, magic, etc., snk fights certainly stand out because most characters do not have any kind of special abilities and are just soldiers with weapons, for Because of this, the structure of the fights is very different, it is very based on strategies together and many of these can end up causing the death of anyone involved, which always conveys a feeling of extra tension, of course, it falls into the sameness of the protagonist with a power hidden that can change the world, but i would say that the essence of the battles is still kept even with this cliche, i also like how all the battles here always have a great context, snk dont miss of time with superficial fights, each snk fight is very important and there are always many things at stake, it doesn't have things like side mission or training arc, each snk fight is something decisive that can cost the future of humanity, as much as the characters are not much, the context built for each battle gives it a sense of importance.finally I'll talk about the biggest problem with this manga, which is its horrible final stretch. I'll talk first about the mystery, which was undoubtedly a disappointment, none of the questions we had about the mysteries were answered properly, in fact they were only answered from so they left more questions, how the fuck is a fucking glowing centipede the origin of the titans? Where does this fucking centipede come from? Why is there only one? Why does this fucking centipede have magical powers to alter the time and alter memories? what the fuck is going on with this manga? As if nothing in the story was answered, we have a demonstration here of one of the worst protagonist/duteragonist of all. I'll start by talking about mikasa, as if it wasn't enough that she is the typical stereotype of a stylish and silent character, she still is a character with a horrible build and development, the most "attempt" the author had to bring some character build to her was her flashback and even her flashback is horrible because it's not a flashback about her story, but a eren's flashback, the flashback of her past instead of delving into her relationship with her parents, her dreams, her goals, he simply shows a quick and superficial conversation with his family, soon after his father and mother are already there. dead, soon after eren saves her and they become brothers, this flashback justifies why she values eren so much, but even so it's almost like she wasn't even a character before the protagonist-kun appeared on the vi of hers, moreover it is horrible that her codependence with eren is not well developed by the work, if that were her conflict it would even be interesting, if her development were her struggle to try to become emotionally stronger and get rid of this dependency I wouldn't complain, but this is rarely questioned by her or those around her, she goes on like this for a long time without the slightest sign of change, at the end of the manga the author tried to develop this, but it was done in a nutty way, by end the author tries to make mikasa break free from her dependence on eren by making her kill him, but of course it's not possible to turn a character that was one thing throughout the story into another in such a short time, in the end mikasa kills eren ,but even after that she spends her whole life thinking only about him and playing with his corpse. Now about the eren, different from the previous character I didn't consider this a bad character, until the end of the manga..... Eren has always been considered by many an annoying protagonist, although his personality is not the most pleasant thing in the world, but I considered him a well built character, since the beginning of the story we realized that eren is a very stubborn and angry child ,with tendencies to be even violent, we noticed this also in mikasa's flashback when he stabs a man without even hesitating, from the beginning he was already a problematic person, with tendencies to be an extremist, this person who already has several problematic aspects still witnesses his mother being killed, it is completely justifiable that this individual is completely taken by a rage and thirst for revenge, these people still discover that she holds a great power that is able to change the world and kill all those who brought their suffering, this person is overwhelmed by their feelings of anger and even becomes very proud, even though the animme has a passage of time it was completely plausible to "change a" of eren, he always had the potential to be the monster he became, only before that all his anger and hatred was directed towards some giant, ugly monsters that had no depth, but when we found out that the real enemies were human and eren's anger was directed at them, that's when we started to realize the monster that eren really is, a person who was completely dominated by the hatred of those who hurt him and the ego of having great power, but in the end the author points to our face and says we're crazy, in fact eren was someone very altruistic who did everything he did because he loved his friends so much, oh, how cute, friends he disdained and endangered throughout the whole story, if the author really wanted us to believe that eren was doing it for the sake of his friends, he should have shown us this more, shown eren suffering from what he was doing and conflicted about the way he was treating it those he loved, but at no time did the eren seem genuinely concerned about anyone, or hesitant about their actions. Also eren's own plan is very inconsistent in many ways, he says he does everything for the sake of his friends, but his plan doesn't benefit the friends in any way, as leaving a broken and conflicted world could be a good thing for someone ?Even more when there were other ways to solve the problem (obvious ways), to begin with the central problem is that the people of Eldia were discriminated against for their power to become titans, but this could easily be reversed by the power of the founder, who for Is it a fucking convenience script to try to explain anything that happens in this manga, but he first killed everyone and then ended the power of the titans, wasn't it easier to have done that before? Anyway talking about the themes of this story... I really don't know what this manga was about, can hate save the world? Is being emotionally dependent on others good? Is friendship important? I don't know and I honestly don't want to know. If anyone has really read this huge boring text so far thank you very much and sorry for wasting your time
