10/10 manga this is truly a masterpiece and a fantastic read. The main cast are fantasically writen and very compleing to the point where its easy to get emotionally attached to them, they flesh out the whole main cast. The side cast is also great and much better and more compleing than most other mangas main cast, head over heals better writing and design.

The plot is amazing it is fully fleshed out, and doesnt explain things that dont need explaining, it also leaves it to the reader to figure out and put the pieces together which i love. There are so many twist and ... turns to keep you guessing the final outcome and mysteries still left to explain in the final 3 or 4 ch left.

The pacing is great, it never made it feel like any arc was draging along or ended to quickly. The manga keep you wanting more every week, there is never a moment of "i dont like this arc, its taking too long", etc its always keeping you hooked wanring more to the poj t youll be saying "you cant leave off there I NEED to know what happens next".

In conclusion i couldnt recomend this more, its a very mature manga the exposes the dark side of industries we thing are mostly good, im sure when i finish this manga it will leave me feeling empty knowing i have to say goodbye to some genuinly fantastic characters that ive grown to love, and what is truly a masterpices of story telling.

Only very moinor spoilers i wont go over anything in depth.

Like most others said this manga started pretty damn strong. However after chapters 30 to 40 it falls off rapidly. They refuse to introduce new villians, any time anyone is in danger here comes another member of the main cast to save the day. The plot is very generic and boring and has massive plot holes. The power sysytem is god awful and completly inconsistent, it genuinly makes 0 sense and seems to be an after though of a very VERY rough way to even slightly estimate the power, ya got kafka at 90% power ... getting his cheeks claped by someone with sub 80% power. And by far the worst part of this serries is the pacing, it is god awful and easily the worst pacing ive ever seen in any medium.

#9 is the only villian in the serries, he has died multiple times and keeps fucking coming back to life. They dont make #9 even remotely interesting either, just the most generic shonen villian ever.

There are absolutly 0 stakes for any of the main cast, as soon as they are in danger here comes another member of the main cast to save the day, oh no the person who came to save the day is in danger now, you fucking guessed it here is a 3rd member of the main cast to save them. There is no risk for anyone apart of the main cast.

The plot is insultingly generic, why can number 9 talk why can he absorb people and transform into them, etc. Why does number 8 hate other kaiju, who are the samuri. There are so many paths for the plot to take the serries in a new unique way and actually explain things, but it does absolutly nothing for the plot up till the most recent chapeter (116) where it seems like they are finally going to explain just one of the things i said above. There are so many plot holes and incosistancies through the stroy, them trying to flush the plot oit now is far to little and way to late.

The power system has absolutly 0 thought put into it, and is obviously a complete after thought. There is not a single point in the serries that there is any kind of consitancy when it comes to power levels.

And by far this mangas biggest sin is its pacing. We have had the most recent fight ongoing since febuary of 2024, (its oct 2024 at time of writing) with no end in sight. This fight is the same as 4 to 6 ep of anime. And every single chapter ends in a clif hanger which is pointless because as said above there are 0 stakes for any of the main cast. The serries has devolved into a cash grab trying to milk every penny possible out of this manga.

The only saving grace of this manga is the art which is fire.

To sum it up, hopefully the anime fixes the mangas issues because the manga is just bad, which sucks because it has so much potential there are so many possible plots they could dive into which would be very interesting to see. The art work is fantastic. The main cast could be so much more interesting if you made them lose one of their own. This manga is a massive let down, hopefully it can come back but i honestly believe it wont, i truly think its best for this manga to get canceled right now. I am genuinly very disappointed this couldve been an amazing manga.
