This film has 2 souls, one of pure emotion and sentiment of the author and one of lore and method in my opinion deliberately twisted and almost comical. It is useless (for me) to analyze the latter, those who want to do it can have fun but it's not for me. The former soul of pure emotion is beautiful, even if it is difficult to relate to the author because well fuck it is a film made by him just for himself, but still nice to have a good ending for the characters.
All in all good movie, nice tits, nice asses. 10/10 it's nice

I've always heard great things about Slam Dunk, and as a lover of basketball there was no way i wasn't going to read this manga sooner or later, but i've also always procrastinated on that because i was put off by the early chapters where it looks more like a typical bancho school delinquent story more than a sports one.
Thankfully things starts to pick up pretty soon and let me tell you, everything good you've heard about this manga is true. The creator Takehiko Inoue clearly loves basketball and you can feel his love in every page, no superpowers bullshit are needed to show
...
the greatness of the most dynamic, the most heart-wrenching, the most beautiful game ever and the deeds of those who play it.
I never really give a score to a work i haven't yet finished, as i am a firmly believer that the ending of an opera is worth half of it, but i already knew i was going to give this a 9, even a 10 if it kept being as good or even better going forward, so why am i wring this review?
Chapter 247, pages 8 and 9.
This is the moment i could clearly pinpoint this comic jumped from a 9 to a 10 from me. Those pages gave me an incredible emotion and they even pushed me to write a review nobody is going to read, but this is more for me than for anybody else. I have yet to end the story, but i don't think it can fuck itself up at this point.
--Edit: I have completed the story, i was not wrong. Hanamichi is a goddamn hero.
Slam Dunk has given me the same emotions of when i'm watching a real NBA game and the score is tight, it brought me back the memories of the joy of playing basketball, i don't know how much you would like this manga if you don't have a passion for the game but if you do, you have to read this, because it will bring you the same incredible emotions, good and bad, because Slam Dunk IS Basketball.

STORY
Eureka Seven is a story about Renton, a teenage boy son of a famous scientist, that is bored of his everyday life. One day, he meets Eureka, a strage girl that pilots a flying mecha, and for him is love at first sight. He decides to join her in a journey around the world with some other guys who practice "reefing", that is some kind of air surf. I won't go on with the story or I will spoil something. You will definitely find more details of the story on the info of the page.
THE REVIEW STARTS HERE
Eureka Seven is a series that starts very
...
slowly, and the fact that there are 50 episodes makes it a very heavy beginning to follow. But despite that, after a few episodes the plot begins to take shape, the episodes will be less tedious to follow and going forward there will also be twists and turns that make it a very interesting story. The series takes all the time she needs to tell his story, so not all the episodes will have an end to the main plot.
Eureka Seven is not a series focused on the mecha and the battles (although they are very well done and fun to watch). E7 is more of a love story and the coming of age of two young teens, but at the same time, it's not only that. If you can go through the heavyness of the first episodes, you will find a very exciting story with mysteries and some action.
MY THOUGHTS
As I said, in the beginning, I found the story very boring (the first time i tried to watch E7, i quit after less than 10 minutes) but after 10 or less episodes it is already more fun to watch. Towards the end, E7 starts with the mysteries and plot twists that made me watch like 4-5 episodes every night (the only time of the day that i'm free).
I really liked the art style and the animation, the openings and the music is fantastic, some characters are memorable, other less, and other character are just annoying.
In the end, Eureka Seven is a really awesome anime with a intriguing plot and a touching love story. It must be watched, you have to give it a chance.
I'm sorry for any english errors, this is not my main lenguage and I hope you understand what i meant to write in this review.

"Piuttosto che diventare un fascista meglio essere un maiale."
(I'd rather be a pig than a fascist [?])
This was the sentance that made me think that Porco Rosso is the best animated movie i've ever seen so far.
In a nutshell, the story of Porco Rosso is about Marco Pagot, a hydroplane pilot who was transformed by a mysterious spell into a manlike, anthropomorphous pig, and for this reason he is known as Porco Rosso.
And I'll just say this, because the less you know of the movie and the more beautiful it will be when you see it, if you decide to do.
And now, time for
...
my opinion: THIS IS AMAZING. 11/10. All the films from the Studio Ghibli were great and fascinating, but Porco Rosso, in addition to having that, it has one of the most charismatic character ever (in my opinion).
Because in an Italy just after the First World War, Marco just wants to be free and continue to fly, against violence.
In a part of the film, he says:
"Un maiale che non vola è solo un maiale"
(a pig that doesn't fly is just a pig)
A phrase that really hit me.
Great story that mixes reality with fantasy, excellent dubbing (I've seen the movie in Italian because is my main lenguage) Awesome characters, and I indeed had a lot of fun whatching Porco Rosso. And I want you to watch it too, because it deserves it.
I apologize if I made some mistakes, as I said before, the Italian is my main language and I'm still learning English.
