In short: This manga is an amazing slice of life/comedy

Episodic in nature, Chichi to Ko, is a slapstick comedy about a Father and Son with the mother being lost all the time.

Don't be fooled by its humble synopsis, it is quite an enjoyable and relaxing read. The side-characters are well crafted, with each having their own enjoyable personality quirks. I can't recall any story arcs that I disliked nor any did I find unamusing.

Ah, 5 Centimeters per Second, a story of romance, tragedy, emotion, and acceptance of reality. An emotional rollercoaster that is well worth the watch.

Story (10/ 10):
While the story is not as perhaps intricate and intense packed as standard drama anime, the way the story develops and presented is gives this movie a deeper sense of meaning and profoundness. The presentation and style fits the mood perfectly and enables the watcher to analyze and consider the gray world of romance that Shinkai presents. Without the need for arguments and anger, there is a redefinition of the word agony.

Welcome to the NHK!, was among the most compelling anime that I have watched. While the show has dark psychological themes ranging from dysfunctional romance to suicide, there is an element of comedy and amusement that balances these elements well.
