These two shows somewhat grew on me on how to embrace tropes (Girlfriend Girlfriend) and breaking some tropes (The Dreaming Boy is a Realist). Don't see at the average rating being given by the users, you might be surprised at how much you'll enjoy these two

Both of these anime make use of the most generic and overused trope out there (harem), but somehow the end result is something -dare I say- nothing sort of spectacular. Don't just look at the average user rating, both of these anime are SEVERELY underrated imo

Both are about love story, Kuzu no Honkai is more painful because the story deals with unrequited love and escapism. They both have the same overall tone of story, very sad and painful. But the difference is that Kuzu no Honkai starts quite sad but ends with a quite positive bittersweet ending, meanwhile White Album 2 starts quite light-hearted like a typical romance anime would, but as the story progresses, it keeps getting sadder and sadder (but quite spicy imo and that's why I love it). I wholeheartedly recommend both of these animes, but you need to have some mental capacity because they're quite painful at times.

The story are completely different but they have the same goal, moving on with life. They both also have a bittersweet ending because of that. The thing that I love the most is actually how the author portray the story to be as realistic as possible for each one of them

Love triangles, drama, high-school students. And I also got the strong oregairu vibe after finishing White Album 2 (spicier oregairu but isn't as spicy as School Days).
