First I wanna say that it's hilarious how Jin basically turns into a surprised Pikachu whenever another character starts talking - the director clearly didn't know what subtlety means.
As for the show itself, its a decently animated adaptation that doesn't live up to its full story potential. Though the biggest failure is easily its characters - the supporting cast especially.
It's just really sad to think that Tekken has one of the biggest, most diverse rosters in video game history... and this series does so little to develop any of them not named Kazama or Mishima. Yes, I understand that they are the primary focus

of the franchise and you can't give EVERYONE a spot light but that's no excuse to not even try with most of them.
Hell, the least mishandled of the supporting cast were Xiayou and Hwoarang who acted as Jin's cheerleading squad and even then, we don't know why they're friends or, in the case of Jin and Hwoarang, how they even met. And if we don't know that, then we have no reason to care about his relationships with either of them no matter how much the show tries to tell us they care for each other.
We don't even know about the extent of Jun's relationship with Kazuya - did he rape and impregnate her like the live action movie? Or did she actually fall for him - if so, why would someone so pure of heart and calm of mind like her fall for someone so sinister like him? Because if you go by the timelines, she would have had to have been knocked up DURING the tournament when he was long corrupted by the Devil gene. It's a question fans have been pondering for over 2 decades and this would have been a perfect time to show us - considering the older games told the story through instruction manuals, adaptations like this should be used to actually SHOW the story.
In the end, it's clear that this show didn't have the time to do everything and so needed at least 3 more episodes to establish other characters, going more in-depth with their backstories and why they are entering the tournament rather than relying on exposition dumps. And hey, maybe SHOW their fights and use them to develop the characters involved by having them learn something with each fight? Maybe cut down the roster to only use Tekken 3 combatants instead of bringing up others from later games? Just a thought.
