I watched guilty crown because of recommendations, I was directed to it from code geass.
To be frank, guilty crown does resemble code geass a lot, but it's hard for me to compare between them, mostly because guilty crown has a lot of "holes" in his story.
The explanations in there are really bad, the explanation of Shu jumping in the air is a virus, although it seems he uses magic circles, it's all messed up.
Guilty crown stole a lot of characters ideas from code geass, plus some weaponry and story, and I even notices some other anime being crumbled in there.

Code Geass is definitely one of my favorite anime.
The art might not be perfect and the music might be bad in some cases, but otherwise this is the perfect anime. The story is outstanding, filled with action, when I watched it I was always nervous on whats gonna happen in the next episode, I was so into it that I finished both Code Geass and Code Geass R2 in 3 days. Lelouch Lamperouge is a genius strategist, he fights a battle like a game of chess, he always has a card down his sleeve. Fate/stay night

Fate/stay night is a great anime on its own, although it's not as thrilling as Fate/zero.
Unlike Fate/zero you can't feel connected to all the servants, not all their stories are told and some remain unknown heroes, it might be intentionally like this, but personally i miss this connection. Many loose ends from Fate/zero are being resolved here. If you liked the battles and action in Fate/zero and it's the only reason you are going to watch Fate/stay night, than don't bother watching, although there are battles in it, it's definitely not the reason to watch this anime. I really liked this but if it has to be compared ... |
