I think that the main reason why Baki is so underappreciated is because most of it's viewers find it to be "Weird" or "Bizzarre" or maybe even stupid at some points, and i can't agree more, Yes! Baki is a very bizzarre anime and that's why it's so great, Baki never fails to surprise it's viewer due to the fact that it's a very unpredictable show, But that's what makes it great, you see, Baki isn't bizzarre for the sake of being bizzarre it's like that for a reason, and that reason is to entertain it's viewer with it's sheer power of unpredictability.

The fights ... are bizzarre

The art style is bizzarre

The dialog is bizzarre

The storyline in itself is very VERY bizzarre

But that's what i love about baki so much

it always makes me go

-What the fuck is actually happening?

or

-Does itagaki realize what is he ever writing?


It's a very very VERY enjoyable anime to watch and you should definitely give it a shot

it might not be the best in animation but it is surely the best at surprising it's viewer in a very entertaining way.
