Another outstanding show by Studio Trigger.
This means that you can expect dynamic animations and amazing character designs! But it is more than just eyecandy.

With Imaishi on the former as a director and Yoshinari on the latter as a designer, Trigger has made an outstanding piece with CD-PR.
What I have seemed to notice is that a majority of the lead staff comes from BNA and Promare which allowed to experiment for the majority of the shape language and color design.
Studio Graphinica that did the 3D animations and compositing worked on Gridman and Dynazenon. Where we can see an evolution in the way how the vehicles move ... in Cyberpunk.

The story is an amazing reflection on drug abuse, loss of close ones and running away from your past. Getting writers from a side of the world where these things are much more common has benenfitted the story a lot more than you would expect.
Why would I give it a 9/10 instead of a full on 10/10? It got released in bulk, not in weekly episodes.

Sat next to the director himself while watching it at Annecy 2022.

INU-OH is an absolute masterpiece on it's own. While Yuasa is becoming more orthodox with his art style which does not bother me but leaves me with an odd aftertaste, it does not take away the fact that he can still make fantastic movies.

What really helps to watch this film is to absolutely not watch it at home on a laptop if you have the means not to! It is a musical, a concert and theater show at once. The totals, medium close ups and visual effects are deliberately chosen to compliment that style ... of storytelling. INU-OH is an absolutely progressive film with two characters going through their mental and physical transition. Choosing between what is right and what is wrong.

A big 10 for sure.
Again, watch it in a cinema, your laptop or TV will not hold up to a true festival film.

Story: This show had a nice concept of cyborgs and so forth! The inspiration from dragonball Z is obvious with 'Z-fighters' compared to 'Toushinden participants'

Art: The art style was well done! The simplicity in it was the thing that made me love the show!

Sound: I really love the simplicity in sound design in older anime series from the 90s. Having the exaturated explosions, sword clashes and screams are the things that make me look up older series.

Character: I really love how they represented the fighters and how they already knew each other.

Enjoyment: I never played the games honestly. But this show has amazing animation compared ... to shows from nowdays (I'm looking at you Toei Animations) This was only a short show so it was intended to be a bigger show. I enjoyed it and I hope other people did as well.

Overall: I recommend you to watch it!
