This is just a really bad soap opera with good music. This is also the first anime where I hate all the main characters and cheer for the bad guy to win. That's how bad it was.
This review might contain spoilers.
I don't think it dragged too long. I mean when you think about the current ongoing anime like Case Closed and Pokemon, at least this long anime had an actual plot that actually wrapped up.
Naraku and Sesshomaru are the only reasons I watch this anime and even now when I go back to rewatch episodes, it has to have one of both of those characters
...
otherwise, I won't bother. That's how annoying Inuyasha's group is.
I don't get how Kagome is such a likable character. The creator tried so hard to put her in a good light, almost like she is a saint. For example, when Kanna makes her debut and sucks souls, Kagome's can't fit into the mirror because "it's too big". The infant tries to find darkness in her heart and it is very, teeny, tiny that she is jealous of Kikyo. She finds her love's interest dead lover in a river and is given the choice to save her and quickly says yes.
Okay, we get it. She's the absolute best person in the world with no flaw at all! Oh, wow, what a catch! Too bad she has such an annoying voice. Her catchphrase is literally INUYASHA!!!!
She's the most annoying character on the show.
Shippo adds nothing to the story and sometimes I feel like Sesshomaru doesn't add anything either. After episode thirty or forty something, you mostly see him in episodes where he is just walking or standing.
Koga never added anything to the story except another stupid rivalry for a stupid chick. For someone who is a demon, why do you need the jewels in your leg to run at the same speed of a demon? I never understood that.
Aside from the characters, there were a lot of filler episodes which made no sense. Some would be to retell Inuyasha's past with Kikyo and others would just show them goofing off such as Jakken's Plan to Steal Tetsaiga. There was no point to them and it made me wonder if they were serious at all about their quest.
All this made me cheer for Naraku. Well, at first it was his good looks but the annoyance with the heroes came soon after. I did really feel bad for Sango and Miroku. Couldn't care less what he did to Inuyasha.
I know bad guys never win ut I really wish he did in this case.

Yeah, no. I'm not going to force myself to suffer through this anymore. Basically, the anime is about this guy who is putting in all this effort to make a witch fall for him so he can publicly reject her. But of course, he is starting to like her himself.
I read ahead and found out the plot twist but I won't spoil it. In the end, it probably doesn't add much of a twist anyway.
The dropping point for me was with this random Neko chick comes out of nowhere and basically, acts like a slut and doesn't explain herself. I'm not going to stick around
...
to figure out what her deal is.
But honestly, before that, I was sick of Aki's attitude. How are you going to act like you are better than everyone around you when you don't know that it's okay to wear normal clothes to a date?
And the guy is some good looking freak who doesn't know how to play it cool despite looking like a cutie. And constantly calling that idiot maid master? I'm done.

Been binge watching this and the first season for the past weeks now and I can't believe I thought the second season was up there with the first.
I like that this is a sequel to the first season because I like seeing the original seven...especially an older Tai. But that is mostly what stopped me from rating this lower.
I never knew this anime was so heavily edited...I have been reading the wika pages of this season and apparently there is an original version that I guess is just the subbed version. They made a lot of changes that I did not think was necessary.
But what
...
really bugs me about the second season is that while the new kids seemed to quickly embrace and took to being in the digital world and fighting battles, they seemed really disconnected from each other before and after the digimon emperor arc.
There is a lot of angst than there was in the first season and this whole "you killed a digimon, you are a bad person" holier than thou attitude crap in nearly every episode is pathetic. They punch each other a lot because they have a lot of dumb melt downs and they are not really fully connected/bonded with their digimon like the original seven were.
Another thing I found to be tiring was all the digivolving. I enjoyed it the first season but this season I found it happening too much. There were too many stages and even then they were not strong enough. It would make for a good show if it weren't so constant.

Despite me watching this completely, whenever I go back to rewatch, I always stop at episode twenty-nine I think.
Anyways though I just love this anime. I'm not a fan of the body shapes as this is the reason I stopped watching Speical A. But the story and characters made up for it. I'm not going to explain what the anime is about, it's in the summary.
But I will say this anime will take you through some emotions. There are characters you will like, love and hate. Nana O, the punk rock singer has this tough girl act vibe but is the typical softie when it
...
comes to her friends. She is kind of like Junko with the blunt talk that Nana K sometimes needs, but she also sometimes sugars coats or doesn't say certain things to Nana K in fear of hurting her feelings.
Nana K is a hopeless romantic who wants to find love and pretty much just be taken care of. She does come off as being spoiled or selfish and a bit klutzy but it is part of her cute charm. She is also always there for her friends and strangers.
While I do sometimes stop watching after episode twenty-nine, the episodes after that are still god but by then you don't get group scenes anymore or as much as the Blast members and Nana K since she has then moved on due to a situation she got herself in.
This anime is great with the character development and the character background stories. Almost everyone besides Nana K comes from a broken home which I think is a bit unoriginal and kind of depressing, but it adds to the character and explains why how it made them what they are today.
So yeah I enjoy it. The ending will make you mad though when you think about it. I won't post for the sake of spoilers, though.

Seems fitting I write a review on the third one like I did with the first two. This one was not as enjoyable for me. Unlike the first two seasons which had a steady time pace, this one just sped up quick. The first episode is set three years ahead which would be fine if the episodes flowed together. That didn't happen, though. Each episode to me was just fast paced. I think they jumped months ahead after the previous one unless it ended in some mini cliffhanger.
Aside from that, the character development bothered me. Misaki and Usagi are my favorite couple out of the
...
three and while I enjoyed Misaki's slow acceptance with coming to terms with his feelings for Usagi the first two seasons, after three years I would expect him to grow up a bit and at least be able to admit he loves him and be open with him in private. But he still has that flighty personality.
This couple was given nine out of twelve episodes and all you get is Misaki's back and forth with his feelings while making a new friend, setting up a career for himself and apparently now fighting the advances from another famous author. If I remember correctly, he was also dealing with Usagi's rude, freeloading cousin as well.
Another thing I hated was the lack of actual intimate scenes. They were mostly implied this season, unlike the previous two seasons which also kind of ruined the viewing experience.
The terrorist couple, nothing happened with them. No progress or nothing. Same with Nowaki and Hiroki. Then yet those couples only got one episode. I don't think I even want a fourth season. It might jump another three years and not make any sense. But still, this third season did not wrap anything up.

Pathetic! Just pathetic in every single category. I felt the need to post a review because I am done with it! I'll just read about it on the wiki to see how it ends but I am not watching anymore of this train wreck of an anime!
What really bothered me the most was the nickname that Raito guy kept calling her. She doesn't question THAT nickname, but Ayato gives her a nickname based on her bust and she wants to her open her mouth about it? Are you serious?
And that guy with the bear, what is his deal? Freaking weird!
Really the story and the episode
...
did not flow together, out of nowhere she wants to ask the eldest brother a serious question and yet there were never any thoughts of her wanting to know or being interesting in knowing the brothers at all.
Her personalty is just awful! So awful, she would win the award hands down! I mean she will protest, though not strongly or hard enough, about the harassment she is getting, and yet she stays and just goes with them and whatever they want. I just can't watch anymore. This fifteen minute train wreck is just a waste of time!

After reading reviews and watching some episodes again, I have come to the conclusion I need to change my rating and review of this anime. The first time I watched it I thought it was great mostly because it was the first anime I have watched that goes beyond high school for a couple and into their marriage lives.
But now that I am older I just expect more from anime and realized this anime doesn't fully deliver.
I'm not big on taking lessons and morals from anime but the constant recurrence of Kotoko chasing a guy who at first doesn't care for her, you can't help
...
but realize that the writers were trying to romanticize what is still kind of a one-sided relationship.
Since I rated the characters as a three, I'll start there. Kotoko is a dumb, clumsy yet determined girl who is in class F. I'm really under the impression she has a learning disability. She falls for "the smarts guy in possibly Japan" and tries to give him a confession that he quickly turns down.
And so thus begins her long five-year journey into winning his love.
Naoki is supposed to be some genius who is so smart that he does not have to try and put effort into anything he does. Really he is just another stereotype who is smart but is a robot and confused when it comes to emotions like love or jealousy. So as far as I am concerned, he's pretty dumb too.
And really his main characteristics that are memorable would have to be his dull personality. He's really robotic and when he does say a full sentence, it's usually an insult.
This anime is so cliche it's painful. the guys that like Kotoko are nice and the girls who like Naoki are snobby like him. And yet Naoki and Kotoko are a good match?
He treats her any kind of way and she just takes it. Then a dozen people have to show her how bad the relationship is before she gets to a breaking point but then when she does leave, she is roped back in with sweet words or his mom interferes.
It's not a totally horrible anime, but it's not an anime to watch if you are looking for chemistry and actual romance. This anime kind of borders along the emotional abuse line.

Nine again because of the third couple. I just really do not enjoy them. This season was the wrap up for all three, but I kind of feel like Misaki and Usagi's story needed an episode more or two.
But anyways I loved this season! I did not like Usagi's father and brother, i think they both were being childish and ridiculous, especially his brother. He didn't seem to be very bright in one episode and even after his side fo the story came out as to why he acted and does what he does, it still didn't do enough for me to see him in a
...
different light. He was still childish.
With Hiro and Nowaki's story I think it was cute. I'mma have to disagree with Hiro though about the age gap. There's nothing wrong with it. and I didn't really think he was as shy as he was apparently suppose to be. i think the writers could have done a better job with it. He just came off as indifferent and whatever-ish to me Like he was already taking the relationship for granted like they already fell into some routine or something.
Too bad there isn't a third season. I think it would be just as much of a success as the first two.

So this is my fourth yaoi, but first one where it is an actual story with more than two episodes. I would have rated it a ten, but I did not care for the third couple in the terrorist arc. It, to me, was no different than a little girl having a crush on her teacher. This boy, I'm sure he had feelings for him for a long time, but to just up and chase him the way he did. Ugh! He just came off as confused and desperate to me. I didn't like that couple.
But the other two I love! I like that Misaki
...
and Usagi got as many episode as they did because that couple was my number one favorite. It had more elements and more of a plot than than Hiroki and Nowaki.
I do kind of wish Misaki's brother was used more in the story, but I'm pretty sure in one episode they said he was dense so I guess he was used as much as a dense person could be used, or maybe he just didn't want to force his brother to come with him back home.

Very good overall. I'll never understand why Makoto gets so much hate though. I assume because he becomes involved with a lot of the female cast but still though....is it not 2013?
Whatever anyways! I think for the most part this anime is good. I like characters and I like to rewatch it to see where the turning point was. Where it all went wrong and what made the characters slowly act the way they acted towards the end.
The ending is not as bad as people make it out to be. Twisted yes. Gruesome, not really. A shock? Yes. It made me go wow. Like it
...
was just a complete 180 and then when you go back to rewatch it you kind of see the characters differently because you then know what is going to happen.
Sekai is just one of those girls who likes a guy but puts her feelings aside to help him with something.
Makoto is a guy who is nice and sweet but once he discovered intimacy, it changed his personality and how he dealt with girls.
Kotonoha is a sweet girl who is shy and bullied but she proves to be someone you do not under estimate.
Put all that together and you apparently get this.
