This movie is an enigma to me. It is such an absurd premise for a movie, but such a simple idea. It both should have made waves with its animation, all the while went mostly unnoticed. I watch this movie once a year, and each time I come away stunned and speechless at what I had just witnessed. Trying to describe this movie to someone is like teaching someone a new language, you'll need to repeat it a few times before they really start to understand.
the plot is mediocre, the characters are mostly ... flat, the visuals are pleasing, but never groundbreaking, and yet I cant help myself but recommend this movie to anyone that wants to hear me incoherently ramble for 20 minutes. My honest opinion as someone who has watched it 4 times now, is this is a movie best experienced at least once, with friends, and weed or alcohol would be greatly advised. all this to say, you should watch it, and become a part of the club who also cant help but recommend it.

91 days is, and has been the best anime I have ever watched. The side characters are amazing and feel like they themselves could be the focus of the show. The main character is beautifully developed (though sometimes outshined by the side characters) throughout the series. The mc is shown through pure facial expressions the conflicts that go through his mind of what he should and shouldn't do in each situation
It has a beautiful art style and I can not emphasize this ... enough. Each damn frame looks like it could be framed and put into a museum. In the first episode there is an intro slideshow kind of sequence with highly detailed setting shots that I would pay a stupid amount of money for an irl recreation.
The sub is great, but arguably the dub is better, since they get American VAs that have appropriate accents to the time and location. The ending is beautiful and sadistically satisfying, though my one complaint is that it raps up a little to fast for my liking.
The sound design, omg the music is just gorgeous. I wish I had it as a vinyl and could play it throughout my house. Usage of the music to set the tone for the scene is executed brilliantly, and a specific ending to an episode uses this perfectly to show the decent into madness a certain character has.
If you have a day to crank out a 12 episode master piece that will make you feel sad there isn't more, but satisfied with how it ended, I would highly recommend.
