Chill? You called me a clown.

Anyway, the stand battles in SC often play out differently and there's a lot of fresh comedic content every episode. The enemies have personality to them which makes them memorable. That is why Jojo has risen in popularity. People can make memes out of so many fantastic moments in that series. Because there's a lot there and it's fun. None of the creatures in Dororo were memorable. Hyakkimaru doesn't have much of a personality. It's one of the drawbacks of making a mute your hero. Yeah, Dororo is there but he/she's just your grey clichéd likeable kid. The fights were very uninspired. A couple of slashes here and there. Two of the demons had any dialogue?

There are a ton of people that have praised the show. I disagree and don't understand why, but it's highly rated. It's okay for me not to like it.

I clearly pointed that out. Made it clear there were two characters. It was a typo genius.

That's basically the usual thoughts most people have after reading it. While I do agree the story seems rather simple, I'd argue is vague or ambiguous about it. The main focus is always the world, letting the reader experience it through the gorgeous landscapes and the different settlements/civilizations of people and beings in them. The final chapters are the ones which have a more defined plot, but still all for the sake of exploring the world and discovering its secrets.

Something else I find amazing about it is the scale of the story, which is more impressive than the gargantuan structures. I read an alaysis some time ago about the time it took Killy to do his journey, and turned out to be thousands of years, with the total size of the Netsphere ending bigger that Earth itself.

Might be an unfair comparison, but there's some resemblance with Blame and Angels Egg. Of course both have much different approaches, but they do focus on letting the world and imagery tell the story. Angel's Egg is of course more ambitious with more substance in it, but you get my point.

Anyway, I'm just rambling because I rarely have the chance to talk about this manga. If you want a similar read but with a more fantasy-realism setting, try Children of the Sea (movie adaptation coming soon too). Beautiful art as well, with a mystery that keeps you engaged every chapter.

Oh, don't leave me hanging here. I see that sweet nine but want to read your thoughts on it =)

Is not a really demanding read to be honest, as for most of it is just contemplative and visual narrative. I finished it in one sit, and I'm not terribly slow reader.

Oh, well if that's what you wanted then good luck with it! Software development can be quite demanding, but is so rewarding watching your code work as you intended.

And nice score for EccFam =). I like how casually it unravels its drama and mystery without exaggerating. Do you plan to watch season two right away?

Hey! She's Sanakan from Blame!. You should try the manga, definitely something you would enjoy.

Yeah, it's been a while. Everything's good, what about you? I see you're watching EccFam, are you liking it so far?
