Choose your image, resize it so it's not bigger than 600x150 pixels, upload it on imgur and copy the link (bbcode forum) into the forum settings (you can access it by clicking on edit profile).
There's also a ready made link in "my signature" but that's only if you want to show recent updates or favourites.
