Just recently I finished the series, so I thought I'm gonna share my thoughts with the community. Of course, this note is absolutely and fully subjective - because of that, be gentle onii-chan tachi... Anyways, let's get things started.
Storyline - lol, u kiddin'? No, seriously, it's a HAREM to the bone anime, there's no such thing as a STORY. As the title states, it's just an everyday life... with monsters. Though truth is - for me it was enough. Seeking some depth in that kinda show is like touching a twelve year old in search of a breasts - NO. POINT.

the worst part, because it's fully subjective, even as for reviews subjectiveness... That aside - the gfx is nice and pleasing to the eyes. That's all I have to say, since I'm no expert...
Sound - hm, truth is, I can't remember any music that will anchor in my mind. But as we know, music isn't the only sfx... Character voices are nice and neatly made, random jingles are also without complaints.
Character - yeah, this is where you're gonna hate or love Monster Musume. There are lots of main characters, also a great s***load of supporting ones, which some may find irritating. In my case, it was surprisingly nice and it didn't bother me. Also, every character is different - ain't talking about looks, but personalities of everyone. We got one with nobility and dignity off the charts, another with chuuninbyou complex, yet another is some freaky bondage hothead, while other loves tragic romances, and so forth, and so on... Some of the supports are not developed enough (simply because some just lack screen time), though it wasn't an issue in my case.
Enjoyment - I don't particularly like ecchi scenes and something that borders on being hentai, though this one was actually fun to watch. It's coarse. It's stupid. It's simple. It's loud. It's ecchi. But it was also nice and warm, almost like a high-class SoL. I enjoyed every episode and laughed so hard, I got my throat sore and neighbours probably hate me now... It was a time nice spent.
Overall - if you're seeking for something more ambitous, dark, with interesting plot and so forth - beat it, go away, shoo. But if you're into something SO stupid, that it's funny (and you don't mind ecchi scenes, or even crave for them), this one's for you. I gave it overall eight, because it fits into my rating scale. Well, I hope you enjoyed this little review, and - as I said in the beggining - be gentle, onii(-nee)-chan...

After being almost forced into it by a friend, who’s basically in love with romantic stories, I’ve decided to watch White Album 2, despite the fact that I’ve had enough of soap operas about unlucky love for some time already. Anyways, I started watching. Before we get to rating and justifying the aforementioned, I have to admit one thing – this anime evokes borderline emotions. Whether positive or negative depends on the personal taste of the viewer, however, you can’t just walk past them indifferently. And because of that, it reminds me a bit of Golden Time (and not only because of that, mind you).

Story: 6
The plot presented in the anime is solid and nothing above that. As it is portrayed in many stories, the school festival is the moment in the lives of the students in which they all enter a state of rut, and therefore, they want to do something about it no matter the cost. Here we have the revival of the Light Music Association. What’s interesting, the climax of the story, namely the festival, happens almost halfway through. Unfortunately, what happens afterwards only impacts negatively on the rating. Stupid behavior, attractions, crying, and tears have been unnecessarily condensed into four-five last episodes, which tires and disgusts very fast. Not going into detail, the plot, although trivial, had potential, however a bit wasted because of the uneven distribution of romantic aspects.

One can bicker about many thing in this anime, but being impartial, one cannot refuse that fact that from an artistic standpoint, the visuals are top notch. I totally don’t know the terminology to define the quality, but I know one thing – it’s pleasant on the eye and looks good.
Sound: 9
The first thing what one notices is the music – delicate and subtle rhythms played one some kind of string instrument (a cello?) and the sounds played by the protagonists on the guitar or piano are the best medicine for ears brutally raped by the cacophony of some anime. The singing of one of the heroines is very pleasant for the ear, as well as the other voices are very appropriate, not irritating or distracting one bit. In brief – a good job.
Characters: 4
One of the sections that cause the most mixed feelings in me. The MC looks promising, so different from the banality of most of the drama/romanse anime protags (either a total idiot that can’t open his mouth around somebody representing the different sex and getting beet red just from mentioning a woman, or a wuss that can’t decide on anything and always relegating his responsibility to others), but sadly, this changes with each passing episode. On the other hand, Setsuna and Touma are just cookie cutter characters. In the left corner we have an ex-idol dere-dere, and in the right corner we have a tsundere sociopath, one red haired and one black haired. One almost exudes her feelings for the MC in buckets, and the other is the classic case of “why won’t senpai notice me”. The scriptwriter probably tried to save the situation in the last episodes, but he just worsened the whole thing. During that time, the MC sheds more tears than Shinji during the whole course of Evangelion, and the love triangle starts shifting sides like in a kaleidoscope. Reassuming – what looked good in the beginning got screwed up in the end.
Enjoyment: 6
I really had a dilemma what rating to give here. The first eight episodes went in like a glass of Stolichnaya with an appetizer, but the next five just started causing a massive hangover. Maybe I don’t stomach love triangles and MC’s so ‘manly’ I’m pondering how deep their vajay goes, and maybe it’s just me who thinks that such behavior and choices are so totally and utterly stupid that my head starts to hurt. That’s why many people won’t probably agree with me, happens. However, in the end, I’ll give a 6. The first few episodes were genuinely fun to watch, pleasant both for the eyes, ears, and for my sense of aesthetics. Unfortunately, the next ones started spoiling my idealized picture of the anime. Despite all the errors and irritating design choices, the anime stand above average in my book.
Everyone that likes such stories can easily add two points to my score, especially if you don’t mind a lead character that couldn’t decide anything and carry on the consequences of his decisions. Be what it may, I encourage you to watch it.

Some time ago I saw a fragment of EL and it, well, "surprised" is the wrong word, but it sure piqued my interest with its unique display of violence, so shunned in movies and anime. The idea took time to mature in my head, but after a few weeks it came into fruition. Time to watch EL, I thought, and so I did. With what outcome? Well, it surely is mixed.
On one side, EL present us unusual violence intermixed with (in intention) difficult subjects, however, on the other side, it stands out with the infantilism of everything under that guise. Examples? A partially shown rape
...
on an underage girl, limbs and other body parts flying across the screen in every second episode, and promiscuous expositions of nudity just fall flat before the childish behavior of the protagonists, or the fact that in the end, everything comes down to being a harem anime, where everyone lives with each other in peace, harmony and Zen. Well, maybe not to that degree, but nonetheless, it leave a bad aftertaste, and it reminds one of Komari from Non Non Biyori, who steadfastly wants to behave like an adult, which results in her behaving like a child even more. The same can be said about EL - it was supposed to be brutal, serious and mature, but in practice, it turned out sweet, nice and kawaii (with a considerable hint of blood).
Additionally, a good anime has to have a likeable main character. Here, the things also gets a bit pale, as Kouta is simply an asshole, the oh-so-popular model for a male hero some time ago, who caught up in an intrigue wouldn't find his own ass with a mirror on a stick and a flashlight. Nyu/Lucy? Nope, unless one likes sociopaths with murderous ambitions, whose only raison d'etre is only killing. Excluding the moments, in which of course they can only repeat one word and wet themselves. The rest of the characters, be it lead or support, also leave a similar impression, because they're either simply retarded or/and hard to like because of their childish behavior.
Of course it's not such a bad and weak anime as you would figure out from the review. It can give some fun, especially for someone who is bored by the repetitiveness of Fairy Tail, where the biggest wounds are limited to some bruises and fatigued clothes. Here, the bodies hit the floor in dozens and definitely - the dead stay dead. Naturally, when watching this you should turn off your brain and channel all your energy to your eyes, or your head will hurt from all the plot fallacies and infantilism.
