first things first, 1) I am biased. I say it a thousand times, I'll say it again, I'm not above bias, nobody is. If you don't agree with me, don't take it out on me, I will do the same. 2) I just recognized the "no story summaries" guideline, so let me make myself clear, this is not a story summary, this is a different kind of "preview", that gives you the feel of the show, and lets you make a decision if this kind of anime is for you or not. Also, don't worry, I always write alot for everything I review.
This is a
...
"crazy" series, so if you like sense, great stories, and something that moves you in any way other than laughing, this is not the series for you. For those who are ok with this, imagine that you took the Over-the-top spirit of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the excessive "what will be pulled out of the top hat next" feeling of Kamen no Maid Guy, add a touch of the sarcasm of "Bludgeoning angel Dokuro-chan" (substitutable with Excel Saga) mix it with some of the comedy portion of Kami-chama Karin, and then put the entire thing into a version of Zero no Tsukaima mixed with more Harry Potter. This is the series.
if you get all these references, Congrats! if not, I suppose you can look them up if it bothers you that much.

Third Review! (yes, I'm counting). for those who don't know already, I'm summing up series in a manner that allows one to read my descriptions without any spoilers, and know basically if they'll like this series. Without further ado, here it is:
Ok, basically this is in the style of Doraemon on acid, where the figures and characters (along with everything else in this anime) are all drawn in a very loose style. Despite this, the visual style is taken VERY seriously, meaning that despite not looking at all realistic, they have little that could be described as "poor art". Honestly, it's more like a separate
...
universe than the lack of ability to draw, and it actually fits the dark, dark tone of the anime quite well. In fact, this anime is one of the few in which the story, sound and visuals all work to create a powerful force that, once you get hooked, it becomes very, very effective. Its story is also something to be talked about. It's the type of story that will force you to be either very attentive or to watch it multiple times. Ironically, neither of these things are a bad thing, because the anime is sooo good, if you like it, you may very well be watching it again and again just because its that powerful.
Sorry it's so long... I hope you got an Idea of this anime!

My second Review! If you want my shtick about how I'm veeery biased and just live and let me live, go to my first, cuz I'm not repeating myself! Also, for those of you who've noticed, I don't really plan on doing a review, I just sum up the series in a manner as spoiler free as possible to allow people to actively decide whether or not they'll like it or not, because honestly those are the best types of reviews!
This anime is essentially Azumanga Daioh during elementary school, if mixed with some males and a little bit more peanuts (the comic) thrown in (The
...
male lead, swear to god, is some weird combination of Sunohara from Clannad mixed with Charlie Brown). All of this is done to a beautiful art style and character designs very remniscent of Strawberry Marshmallow (I.E. Everyone is REALLY well drawn and characters do actually change clothing and occasionally hairstyles as time flows).
That's it really! Hope this helps!

Ok, this is my first review...
First things first. I'm terribly Biased. like, REALLY biased. Not only do I love the author of this work, I tend to love moe animes in general. To me, the ability to generate a really good atmosphere is just as important as telling a good story, and an anime with a horrible story can be more than completely forgiven in the case it has a really good atmosphere. This anime does. Granted I loved the character designs (and had real fun guessing what S-A-C Kuro characters these were designed off of), found them a little tropey, but hey, tropes are
...
things that work, and they were different enough to keep from becoming flat characters, so they're good. also, I enjoyed this anime ALOT.
The plot is essentially if you mixed Azumanga Daioh with the occasional little art-lesson, while the characters have an upperclassman-lower classman situation similar to Lucky Star (but the main focus was switched to the Lowers), and the upper class was a more harmless version of the SOS brigade (with a supervisor not unlike K-ons). All with the art style and vibe of Shoulder-a-Coffin Kuro.
There really isn't much left to say, but if that sounds interesting to you, then don't worry, they pulled it off BEAUTIFULLY. If it doesn't, don't whine about how bad it is, because, honestly, it's probably just not in your genre tolerance.
On that note, If you don't agree with me, then I don't think your opinion is "stupid" "blind" or "horrible", I just think you're looking at it from your own perspective. Everyone has one, and I won't dislike you for yours, please don't dislike me for mine.
Hope this review has been helpful!
This is Eneljie,
