This special is really something I was waiting for, and dearly I was satisfied. As others pointed it out, there was a shift between comedy and drama in the two episodes, though I enjoyed both just the same. In the Overall and Character sections I will go deeper in the strenght of this series. The Sound rating, usually unfairly given coming from me, is influenced by both the opening and the ending.
Story (8) :
Whereas the first episode is skippable in the storyline, the second one will stay for a while in my mind, indeed was shown some of the soft side of Gabriel, which you
...
would expect of course but it still was touching. If anything, characters with an handicap is something pretty rare in animation, although most people can come up with three or four characters. And it permitted quite the development, showing how nice they (the cast) are. Without going much deeper (talk about platonic) I can assure you it was worthwhile.
Art (8) :
Nice point being, it is the same artstyle as the series. Unknown to me if it is available in the highest quality, but it's satisfying nonetheless. Character design may be really cute, though something bugging me a bit is how huge are the chins and jaws, but it's still cute...
Backgrounds are well-made and forgettable at once, at least frames aren't really reused.
Sound (7) :
That part ! I loved the opening and it was the first time hearing the ending, both are pretty sweet. I especially have a liking for those series where the official voice dubbers are also the singers, like Nanbaka. Other than that, I'm not one to care about the sound effects.
Character (8) :
Dear I love characters in that anime, especially Raphiel seeing how awesome she is. But anyhow, characters aren't simply beholders of a personification of characters, in this series for the least. Well there is part of it but it's called the nature of a being.
And their interactions are always so cute... But the strenght of this series really lie in the comedy gag exploited every thirdy seconds with facial expression frames, and that I love.
Enjoyment (8) :
Did I mention I really like Gabriel DropOut? Well now you know. If anything I love almost every character, saying : Satanya, Gabriel and Raphiel. Basically in essence this was a satisfying special for the ones that really appreciated the original series, and it manages to stay following the canon characters of the manga. Pretty sure it follows even perfectly to the letter the manga though...
Overall (8) :
It's certainly not gonna change animation as a whole, but probably future series are about to be shaken by this series. And the special will be useful in strenghtening both the lenght and the weight of the series Gabriel DropOut. And if I get more cute girls doing cute things I won't say crap.
As you can see, subjectively I enjoyed a lot this special, and I hope I can convince you to try it out.

Sakura Yuki, four stories in the same bundle, settled of various eras and picturing some different genres. Perhaps it hit other people deeper than me, but in my case it did not mean a lot. Following this introduction, I will explain why this story should be rated as I estimated.
Story (7) :
The format of the stories follow a short pattern, introduction of characters, development of the story, ending. Those very endings may have a significance, but the most interesting part is certainly how dispatched are the stories, kind of like novellas, short stories, whatever you'd call them.
For introduction and describing of links between characters, there
...
was only a slight attempt. But in the same time, each characters can be the incarnation of a feeling, loneliness as boreness ; perhaps are the characters just an introduction to their philosophy and their reaction against the feelings the stories themselves would tend to propose?
Art (5) :
Honestly, I did not really appreciate the art for this manga, precisely because of how confusing I found it : I had to pass every action scene, for they are what I can't understand in a manga, and the average art of more passive times isn't especially stunning. It be said, I confused every characters... Meanwhile it wasn't especially standing out, I wouldn't define it as unworthy, industrial or even more critical terms. It is to be reminded the one responsible for the artstyle and story is the same person, and this is the state of manga drawing as of 2002-2004.
Character (6) :
If I said before I confused the characters for their artstyle, and even went ahead to say they were just the interpretation of a philosphy or feeling, you can find out that they are, to my point of view, hardly rememberable. But nonetheless, even if a character is not made to be rememberable, in this story's purpose they were good enough.
Enjoyment (6) :
This is not the kind of manga you will find either inspirant, or even awesome. This mustn't be revolutionary, so even if I did find this interesting, some parts were clearly boring. I consider thus this rating to be fair to quantify something so subjective as enjoyment.
Overall (6) :
This manga is as platonic as this review, and any delved meaning is going overboard. Nonetheless it achieved to be enjoyable (?). This is more of a manga I would not recommend to any beginner, but why not for more experienced readers who already know their boundaries of genres?

Sola is an anime I watched solely for my participation to yearly Anime Challenge organized on the website. Although I just wanted to marathon it for completing one of the challenges, I'm honestly surprised and moved by this anime, so much I couldn't just leave it there without reviewing it right away.
First off one of my points concerning this anime is, in despite ten years passed after the airing of that piece of work, if one would argue it fits well in the old. It was at the quality you would expect from last decade animation, and I personally prefer it that way. In truth,
...
anime who sorted in between the 2000s and 2010s are my favorite ones.
Art (9) :
One of the astonishing remarks I could assimilate upon that show, would be merely its artstyle. I don't specialize in knowing studios and the whatnot in behind the pieces of otaku culture, but it definitely looked nice to me. For once, I found it colourful, some of the background showed city environments, and a bit linked to the characters, the different skies. And I love this medium ever since I watched an anime scene taking place in sunset.
That was all of a paragraph dedicated to my love for old artstyle, and if I were to cite an equivalent level of design, although perhaps it could be a lot different, but none would say it isn't a bit close... This title would be a popular anime for every true fan, "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu" or "The Melancoly of Suzumiya Haruhi" as well for westerner fans.
I do not usually talk about animation in my reviews, even though there were action scenes, but it is merely because that is not one of the points I would watch an anime. Facial expressions, nonetheless, could be worthy of mentioning.
Story (8) :
Although the story in herself was sufficiantly delved throughout the course of the show, there were some plotholes here and there, such as small details that are nowhere from being explained. But that is in itself inherent to the animation, and perhaps the original source is enough advanced on that subject and that would only matter for the budget.
Even so, the ending (quite the ending, satisfying, giving you feelings, but still not being the most wanted from the viewer ; at least we can say the author did not mean to take in account the viewer's approvement for the ending) wasn't what I expected. Still it should be rated that high for the sole reason of being well-executed.
Character (8) :
Since the story gets a bit boring in the middle if it weren't for character development it would only be useless. Nonetheless they are well pictured and not only the main characters are deeply described. It is necessary to tell not every side-character is there for the sole purpose of forming a gag, only the cutie lover friend of Mana.
Sound (8) :
I did not take much into account the voices, therefore the only reason of judgement shall be soundtracks (there were some at interesting moments, piano was well fitting with the drama slow parts), sound effects (broken glass at the church, kicking the vending machine)...
But the opening was rather greatly accompagned with the animation featured, and the song was good.
Enjoyment (8) :
I had much fun watching it, although I kinda forced me at some parts. Nonetheless in the midst I was kind of looping episodes after episodes. Definitely good watch, this anime could be featured in my favorite anime.
Overall (8) :
You should watch it if you are into more elder titles, or the romance and drama parts attract you. Some should find the supernatural tagging kind of repelling but it serves the story, and this is precisely the point that gave off such a contestable ending. Similar titles I recommend from my experience are, as scale of comparison for points by points.
For the school life scenes, "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu" could be similar. If it was the romance, it shall be "Ef: Tale of Memories", and if it was the slice of life, something close to the fusion of "Higashi no Eden" and "Fate/Stay night". As of the surnatural tagging, there was one anime whose premise seemed kinda similar, "Omamori Himari".
Theorically as well, I managed to only cite anime from the 2000s and 2010s. I hope you will give any value to this review and if it encourages you to watch it, then it's definitely working.

Another Mission is an advertisement for Microsoft Surface RT tablet, the why for the lenght of three minutes, three minutes who are better than some twelve long-episodes anime. Budget can do wonders, and as of example, at least now I am aware of the full title of this product. I would as well acclamate Microsoft for cibling the perfect demographic target by using one of the most known mecha and sci-fi pieces of animation, for something as geeky yet casual as a tablet can be.
Story (7) :
The premise strikes perfectly, and it revolves around some leaks of data. Although other reviews pointed out about the
...
lack of story due to no dialogue at all, I would yet say this contain a story, and even an interesting storyline, or perhaps plot. The main scheme of that very plot is among those lines, definitely not staying spoilerless but, some would argue it is storyless.
Data received > Infiltration > Pursuing > Data transmission > Resolution of the case. In three minutes, therefore it is remarkablely dynamic.
Art (7) :
For the budget of art, seven should be fine without taking in account the technologies at use. It was not as fluid as modern animation, yet the dynamism definitely kicks in; the animation was great as well for action scenes, pursue. The slightly shaking camera effect was perhaps too much of use, but for the best of it.
Sound (8) :
Since this is voiceless, you might think it should never get that high, but see for yourself how the ad throws an hundred of sound effects at you, somehow various and the techno music in the background was pretty well matching with the series.
Character (6) :
I have for this one to stay neutral because I am not familiar with original characters, so we will have to pass upon that categorie of rating.
Enjoyment (8) :
You could remark by how enthousiast I was to describe this story, but I even admitted it was superior to some anime, by being a three minutes television publicity. At first I thought it was even a related film or special recapitulation, but in despite it gave me the feels I wasn't looking for. Just to say, you should give it a shot.
Overall (7) :
This is three minutes of your life that, at this point of the review, if you readed it entirely, you already lost, so perhaps watching it will do good. And if you come after having viewed this, stay here. I rate this seven for how fast-paced it stays, ever in art, sound, story development. Perhaps one would keep as cons the development that is almost lacking, and only one of the fans could know the characters.

Hataraku Otona no Renai Jijou The Animation is one of those eroge adaptations, and eroge adaptations regularly turns out to be simple ecchi romantic comedi pieces of work, themselves severily criticized by angry reviewers. But this one is a full-blown hentai, and it blows at that !
Story (7) :
The synopsis would tell you that the stories are just sexual intercourses by co-workers and the such ; you would imagine no story involved, but it is just what was defined. And ultimately, I guess the concept is well respected, as well as it does to explain the presence of an harem cast.
Art (8) :
Not only the
...
backgrounds are well-made, the necessary for any in-public hentai, but the characters are all drawn moe, and that is a huge bump on my scale. Despite the presence of xray scenes (perhaps five times), who are to me a turn-off, there was one character who was surprisingly arousing.
Sound (6) :
First off, I keep the volume low, because it's a hentai. Secondly, I forget to listen to the voices, because it's a hentai. Thus I can't criticize the sound, and I guess it's one of the useless parts of the review system, that will stay here for the few users.
Character (7) :
The girls are drawn adorablely, and cute as well. But the more interesting character is by far Naruto, on her curves design.
Enjoyment (8) :
Can't talk about enjoyment on an hentai, it did the work.
Overall (7) :
This is a must-watch, so get out of here if you still haven't. You can find it somewhere on Haven. It features enough for a lot of fetishes, but there are limitations it does not cover. If you are also fan of the moe artstyle you should as well watch Sono Hanabira, although it doesn't feel like this at all.

Disclaimer : the conditions in which I watched this special are quite uncommon. For the record, I only watched few of the original series, therefore the characters are quite new to me. Even though it seems disrespectful for a series, that is my own way of testing the feel of a show beforehand. Secondly as it was in Spanish subtitles I didn't understand many of the story, or comedy gags ; but I shall try to develop at my best for you readers sake.
Story (7) :
Meanwhile I claimed an uneven comprehension of the story, it was kind of your usual slice of life show. Perhaps
...
the slight traces of drama at two moments of the special were an indication to the future of the anime series.
As for the introduction, in the club room passage, it indicates that this whole special could be part of an usual routine for them. It was rather appreciable and quite fun, I recommend it.
Art (8) :
Well this is modern animation, as expected from an anime of last year only. The animation was fine and well-cut, some comedy mimicks here and there... The rating is higher for I just loved that opening, as well as the song that I already knew. Even if I'm useless at understanding the lyrics, the part of opening where their silhouettes become space-like especially, was beautiful.
Sound (7) :
I finished watching the OVA while checking other reviews, when somebody pointed out the quality of voices. So I listened closely for myself, and that is true I appreciate how their voices did not sound like rat voices (glaring back at you half of the seiyuu of Ao no Kanata no Four rhythm).
The opening was great, that is to be pointed out.
Character (7) :
This is my average grade for characters, because I don't know them well for the least. All I can certifiate is their artstyle was nice, and some shipping people would be happy. Or perhaps the glimpse to Charlotte's character could remind certain scenes for the viewer, but a more experimented viewer than me, then.
Enjoyment (6) :
Well I felt no fun since for the first part I had to check up every single sentence, but I gave up in the second half just to finish it quickly. That, and I was also a bit hungry. I guess seriousness of reviewing is dead at this very point.
Overall (7) :
First off, unless you are fine with Spanish, don't watch it in this language. And then, if you want to try the anime feel quickly you can try this OVA, no major spoil since someone else said the storyline was settled in before or after episode 6, but certainly before episode 7. Seems you would enjoy as well, though I don't recommend it to you if you hate school-life comedy anime.

Bikini Warriors Special, another one series I start from the specials. Surprisingly this special was pretty enjoyable for the lenght it dured, although this review is sure going to be crude as rude. There is nothing much to say but I do hope you will appreciate this review.
Story (6) :
There is trace of story, in that at the start they did fight some magician thing (?), even though I still wonder why they ended up in bikini (well that I can get the gasp of it, seeing the title...) at an hotspring kind-of place. Well, Brazzers logic gets her way.
Art (7) :
In between the costumes
...
they employed to fight and the bikinis, which both succeeded in their role of turning someone on. Mention for the nudity shown, those were some hot tities and fine drawn nipples.
Sound (5) :
Whereas I can't truly get critical there are two downsides for the sound :
* not much sound effects, but that doesn't matter much anyhow in four minutes.
* low-quality moans, even more embarassing than average hentai.
Character (6) :
Since I watched it seriesblind I did not comprehend that thing of daughter and mother, but the gothic lolita was enough for this rating. Also her reactions were really cute.
Enjoyment (5) :
Well, it left me stoic for the whole time, and I could manage a lifetime without getting through this, but this wasn't an utterly garbage moment. Just, there could have been something better with ecchi and yuri tags.
Overall (6) :
Since the lenght was too short there is nothing much to judge, and the overall can only be low but positive (meaning over five) since this is after all a professional production. If I were to find it for buying a manga I would probably keep it in collection.
Even though I feel this review was poorly executed, I don't trust that I can do better.

Harmony, an interesting anime movie with two themes I am nowhere from familiar with : psychological, and science-fiction. Hencefore, this movie will perhaps divide, sometimes make you ponder, or won't reach you. To me, it evocated meanings for me, but I certainly am on the common of developped humanity, so notions that were thought complicated will become such in my mind. Will you hang with me as I will tempt to criticize this movie?
Should I warn you of spoiler in before, that I dare not judge, but you are reading under your own will.
Story (8) :
From the start, an etablished utopic world ; which could
...
very well become somehow true (to an extent, but with the expansion of the numeric era on societies, it wouldn't be hundred percent optimist to advance quite the opinion), is settled as basis for the story-telling.
Passing up any synopsis (read it in the details tab), but the ending was unexpected and the whole nice point of this anime was the confrontation in between consciousness and dilligentness was for me the highly interest of this anime. Let's say I would like to see what could give off an ideal civilization with little to no consciousness, at human scale, when no population would harm the other ones. Could this reach the ideal of civilization by itself?
Art (8) :
It definitely looked nice, as much the character design as the background. There isn't much criticizing I can think of in terms of art itself, but I will remember as a basis of criteria how the headquarters (is that it?) of the world network was drawn. Pperhaps you remember it, something city-like, huge and in between purple, pink and white. Quite the futuristic view, but I loved it.
Sound (7) :
Whereas it isn't memorable, what I would say to every anime since I don't remind what I listen days, even months after, I don't think it was annoying or bothering for the least of the world. Upvoting admitted, critical thinking faked.
Character (8) :
Just for the fact that there was yuri relationship in between Mihie and Kirie. That and they both incarnate their representation ; Kirie is consciousness, the almost rebel teen she once was now as commandant of an army, having lost hope. Mihie herself is silencious and...
Let's drop it, Miach just caused the shared suicide of ten thousand peoples, all in the same time as faking death. How cool is that?
Enjoyment (8) :
I really enjoyed and even made a few memes out of this anime, such as the fact that when the first girl in the restaurant scene killed herself the knife looked like a kitchen plastic knife.
All in the same time I was actually thinking about that whole mix of ideas it lifted. But the most important be said, the subtitles were filled with complicated words, and that was enough to make me, fellow weeb, enjoy the anime.
Overall (8) :
I tend to repeat myself in the Overall section [referring to Enjoyment one], so, keeping it short and forgetting what I said on that very part : you should definitely watch this movie if you had the time to read this review storyblind. Then maybe you too would want to review it, or talk about it to some people. If you're in the last case you can even message me about it so we can talk about the movie.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka OVA, despite its long name typical of bad titling of novels in Japan (fire be launched right away), was just another OVA in a nutshell of girls and boys swimming all together in an hotspring, of any level they'd explore. And there is an handful of the last one.
So what is so special about this one OVA? Absolutely nothing new, so pass your way if you just don't want to see almost naked girls, and stay if you are sexually aroused by underage-looking explorers taking a bath in any dungeon they just explored.
Story (6) :
...
There's no real story, and for an anime whose popularity is only attracting gamers in a fantasy, rpg-like environment they should have stayed to the first season, because God that was lame. I kind of appreciated the parts where clothes started disappearing but the overlapping gags and puns that weren't fun, and yet I could pass on it but the dialogues were all annoying. This rating is still really fair since it managed to stay in the first season's mood.
Art (7) :
This is the generic artstyle of anime since five years, meaning high quality but kind of industrialized. One thing I really did not appreciate for the slightest must be the jaw drawing, which is unatomic-like (that is not a word)...
Well breasts were breasts, skin was skin, swimsuits were exciting. Can't really downrate it there.
Sound (6) :
Passing opening and ending, but the cast of characters is so annoying in seiyuu ; the sound effects are average, and that's about it. I could try like now to say further, but it's really average, almost generic, let's say lowest xpectations. It meets them nonetheless.
Character (7) :
Well passing for the whole of the family of the blonde girl (and her too since she's so bothering), every other character was bad written, with only few characteristics to define their entire existence, like 80% of all anime characters I guess.
But there are three reasons the rating is 7 :
* the girl with green hairs has green hairs, and that is amazing to me.
* the loli goddess is a loli, and that is satisfying I guess.
* the Bell is Bell, he also has a nice knife.
Enjoyment (5) :
Only watched it for completing the franchise, but this is nowhere from fun. Let's forget about this one easily, but that was nice for an ecchi ova, I guess it's just the original anime that didn't have much charm for me to give. Then again it had a nice concept [the first season], as well as this OVA's storyline. Guess the script writers had to make do.
Overall (6) :
In an anime, if two criterias are put together such as OVA and Ecchi it is almost guaranteed to become a bath OVA. I already reviewed some similar anime with Haiyore! Nyaruko-san and it was the cast which made the special enjoyable. For this one, it is only the ecchiness and source material, therefore there was nothing for me to expect.
You should watch it to make yourself an opinion, perhaps am I only gone rabid on this anime, I watched it in a while and after remomerizing this is what I remember.
Thanks for reading this review and have a nice day.

K-On! Tea-parties, light-music and the most hopeless bunch of high-school girls. K-On! had only one mission, live up to my expectations after hearing so much from the community. Somehow it did just as well, and established another classic from our decade of anime.
Whether you are especially here for the moe ambiance, or some music fanatic the average anime viewer must have seen or heard about this series.
Let's start point by point the critic, of course positive, of this delicate anime.
Story (7) :
For the story part, it doesn't especially stand out. When it comes to aligning school and slice-of-life there is no much more to add,
...
moreover most anime of those two genres are your cliched kind of road ; summer vacation, training camp, fireworks, clubtime, beach...
Getting to the point, if it scores that high it is thanks to the storyline, that actually semi-exists, and the almost stand-alone nature of each episode.
Bonus is it actually has an end, after the second season, and some satisfying one.
Overall, the deed that we saw the progression of the music-light club is really settling nicely the second season.
Art (7) :
Solid artworks, there was nothing to say more. K-On! has many points that makes him do that high : its 1080p quality is the best quality I've yet to see in an anime (and most screen devices can't support higher), there was no CG or I don't recall every scenes, and I would approve if there are dancing scenes. In spite of all the scenes during the concert (or concerts?) are of good realization, especially the light kind of effects who are just fine.
Special mention for the moe character design !
Sound (8) :
The opening is of quality, because it made it through my playlist. Can we really congratulate this rating on a music genre anime, that I don't know, for it needs a certain quality. Overall I'm not peculiarly fan of the light-music genre, but maybe it's big in Japan.
Sound effects must be fine, right? But I bet the soundtrack isn't all that awesome.
Character (7) :
Every character of the band is nicely introduced during the course of the first episodes, they all have their personalities explained and the basis of the comedy gags. So why do I love more Tainaka Ritsu than any other character?
Other than that, there isn't peculiarly one character being '-dere' or else, so it's a big-up.
Enjoyment (8) :
It had this special mission to kill my time, but it gave me some more, and stayed as one of my five favorite anime for quite some time. Of course, because it included kind of this shoujo-ai feel, being school-life and slice of life and as well an hilarious comedy.
As it respected every genre it wanted to be, did not take himself seriously, was highly entertaining, it really deserves more than this rating.
Overall (8) :
Really delicate and tender series to watch, hilarious and makes the time fly by. If one ever consider to recommend you this anime, then do so, at least for it being some really big classic.
For those pleased with shoujo-ai, moe, school-life or simply comedy, this established series will wrap up your expectations and, as if it was a sandwich, slip himself down your throat (or here your eyes, and your ears, finally getting through your brain).
After this little anatomy lesson I feel like adding, that Tainaka Ritsu is some tomboy best girl of a kind. Bakas.
