I really don't know where to begin with this.
You know, at first it was just poking fun, haha ironic kind of humor, and a sense of slef-knowledgment in regards to the original concept that the show itself offers us. With an over-the-top main character, with OP magic in a generic Isekai plot, surrounded by women, and wanting to be the most powerful being for his own goals. I admit that, I myself am an Isekai enjoyer - for whatever is worth. But The Eminence of Shadow, is just so... FUN.
At first you start thinking that it will al be a parody and a satire take

I don't actually know if this manga ends on chapter 10. But if that's the case, it's a shame.
The story is actually pretty enjoyable and it has a nice flow to it. Direct to the point and with a nice ending as well. The split-personalities are pretty well developed, but, I wish they'd show us more of the past of Yamase, so we can know more about why the original personality wanted to dissapear in the first place. But yeah, pretty nice chemistry between the main characters, bland but kind of necessary side-ones and with just the right amount of comedy, drama and romantic scenes. Overall, for what ... |
