Minare Koda is a waitress at a curry restaurant who after getting dumped goes on a drunken rant to a stranger. To her utter dismay, she hears her rant on the radio the next day. and flawed. She was clearly a woman who wasn't sure what to do with her life. But, over the course of 12 episodes she grew so much and slowly emerged as a more confident and positive individual. The other characters shone as well including Matou (radio exec), Nakahara (dude that had a crush on her), and Tachibana (an unhappy woman with an overprotective brother). Put together, they really made the show pop!Also, the themes of coming to grips with life and the power of community were evident. It was also a celebration of radio as a medium of communication and how in times of need, the radio is always there.
Not much happens in this show, the character growth and development is in small increments and the plot doesn't careen towards an explosive conclusion. But, it tells a simple and relatable story, and for that reason, it was a pleasure to watch. Also, the music is incredible, and in their usual style, Tacica produced another masterpiece of an opening.

Akihito Narihisago has the ability to dive into the subconscious of known serial killers to solve mysteries. He does this in search of a notorious killer called John Walker. However, Akihito can only dive into the ID wells because he is also a killer.ID Invaded, like other shows like Psycho Pass takes a lot of pride in its subject matter and the execution of its mysteries. It is certainly suited to a smarter audience who enjoy a good mystery and interesting philosophies. The character of Akihito was well done and i really enjoyed a lot of the early mysteries

have deep philosophies, ID invaded gets confusing after a while (maybe this is just me) and it goes big in its ending to the point that I'm completely lost and not as invested in the outcome. All in all, it was a decent show and will probably be enjoyed by fans of complex narratives.

a guardian trying to cope with the new responsibility. Unfortunately, Uchimusume does nothing to add to this concept. Worse still, there is little intriguing about the show besides Latina. Dale is like a cardboard cutout character with barely any personality to speak of. His design is basic and for the whole show I didn't notice anything remotely interesting about him.
The story made it seem like Latina somehow changed his life, but since we never got to even remotely know him before Latina, it was impossible to notice any growth or change
Also, there were no supporting characters of note and Latina was a perfect little girl that everyone loved. And while this is by no means a bad thing, it felt like the story was forcing this angle. Characters should be likable on the strength of how well they are written rather than by convenience of plot.
Furthermore, the world they occupied didn't intrigue me in the slightest. There were wolfmen and strange creatures, but there was nothing about them bidding me to learn more. The music was generic, same as the animation and there is little to say stands out in this show.
All in all, the show relies solely on the cuteness factor of Latina. That said, if you don't mind a wholesome show where little to nothing happens (like Terrace house) then you just might get a kick out of this.

First off, I HATE MASAKI YUASA! The legendary anime filmmaker has a knack for ruining people with his stories. Japan sinks follows a family (father, mother, sister, brother) who try to survive when Japan literally starts to sink. It's a disaster movie with a difference as it focused more on the human element of what was going on.
Apart from riveting stories, Yuasa also creates some compelling characters, we saw it in Devilman Crybaby, and Japan Sinks is no different. I hated the main character, Ayamu, as she was a pretty spoilt brat. On the other hand, her behavior was consistent with a teenager going through

a disaster. So while she severely got on my nerves, i respected how authentic she felt. The themes of family and sacrifice are strong in the show, and in the terrifying reality of a fallen Japan, familial bonds and sacrificing for people you care about really shone through. I hated watching this show, but i couldn't take my eyes off it.
The animation was top notch as usual and Yuasa's visual style allowed him to so much with the show. As with all Yuasa shows, music played a huge role in this show and episode 9 in particular had a pretty sick freestyle session.
This anime wrecks you, but if you're down for an emotional rollercoaster, then i can't recommend this show enough.

Two new inspectors, Arata Shindo and Kei Ignatov are tasked with solving a fascinating case that just kept getting wilder and wilder. Also, a mysterious organization is in the mix trying to meet their nefarious endsIn classic psycho pass fashion, the story is tight and the central mystery, intriguing. However, also in true psycho pass fashion, what really shines through is the incredible world of the Sibyl system and the characters. Arata and Kei very pleasing to see and it is easily one of the most exciting partnerships in anime. Furthermore, psycho pass again did what they are best at: they gave us a solid villain. For anyone who knows me, you'll know that Shogo Makishima from S1 is still one of my all-time favorite villains in all of anime, but, i must admit thst Koichi Azusawa and the Bifrost organization also hold their own in that villain list. While Psycho Pass is mostly praised for its intelligent storytelling, people tend to overlook that impressive animation and sleek fight scenes. S1 had that glorious Kogami v Shogo fight snd S3 also had its fair share of incredible brawls (including one from Kogami that was absolutely fantastic). But, as usual, the plot did fly over my head a bit and i struggled to understand large swathes of what was going on (this might have more to do with my processing abilities rather than poor storytelling) At the end of the day, Psycho Pass S3 was an exciting watch and I'd happily recommend it to anyone.

Rikuo Uozomi is working a dead end job and basically meandering through life. He meet Nonoka Haru who has always had a crush on him and is hoping to take things further. To complicate matters more, his college crush Shinako comes on the scene. All three have difficult pasts that they are trying to move on from and through their interactions slowly start to figure things out.
I really like Seinen shows because of the mature themes. They are typically slower paced, but I appreciate the subtlety of the characters, themes, and interactions. I liked the honesty with which they dealt with the themes of moving

on, unrequited love, and grief.
For long stretches it felt like nothing was happening, but these characters were growing, learning, and trying to put one foot in front of the other and this was impressive. Also, I liked Rikuo as he displayed some tendencies I recognize in myself
I thoroughly enjoyed this show, but I must say, I didn't really like the end as it felt a little rushed. This isn't a show for everyone and only the most ardent of slice of life might appreciate it. That said, it was a pretty decent show

Kakushigoto tells the story of Kakushi who is a Manga artist and his 10-year old daughter, Hime. Kakushi draws Manga with dirty jokes for a living, but he doesn't want his innocent daughter to find out. Therefore, he dresses up in a suit to work and does whatever he can to hide his profession.
I LOVE THIS ANIME! I'm a sucker for storylines like this and the fact that it gave a few insights into how Manga works in Japan is an added plus. I completely enjoyed the father-daughter dynamic and the laughs they were able to elicit from his desperate attempts to keep his day

job a secret. The jokes were incredibly funny and I found myself laughing out loud a lot while watching this. Also, it had its dramatic moments that threatened to have me tearing up. With all its colorful side characters and ridiculous misunderstandings, I truly enjoyed what was going on.
However, at its core, it was a simple story of a father doing everything for his daughter. I don't have a kid, but this is what I believe parenthood is all about, and watching Kakushi strive to meet his daughter's needs was really touching. The animation was very fitting and the music had such nostalgic vibes. Kakushigoto was a good time and if you enjoy a good comedy with some heartwarming drama, I won't hesitate to recommend this.

Sigh. Right. So, Tower of God is about a young boy called Bam who goes into the titular tower in search of a girl called Rachel. But to find her, he has to pass the hellish tests that the tower throws at those who walk into it. Finding friends on the way, Bam begins what is sure to be a very lengthy journey.
TOG is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and on seeing the anime, I can understand the popularity. I only read a few chapters of the manwa but I can say that the anime is a smash hit. I am

excited because it means we will probably be seeing more webtoons and manwa adapted.
As for the anime itself, you can see shades of different anime including One Piece. There were a few characters that looked similar to those on OP and the story structure also looks familiar-- a vague goal that provides enough space to create a vast world of diverse characters.
Speaking of the characters, I think they were really well done especially Bam. Yes, I know some people seem to have a problem with the new breed of Shonen protagonists who are kind but maybe a bit too touchy Feely. But I like vulnerability.
Also, Bam didn't stay silly (or at least I hope so) and his development was nice to see. Additionally, the back stories of the supporting cast and how they grew over the 13 episode run was quite remarkable.
I can't forget to say a few words about the world of TOG. It is mysterious, dark, and fascinating. Therefore, I can't wait for a second season to learn more about the world and its inhabitants. The themes of jealousy and overambition were certainly prevalent and though the actions of some individuals (I hope they die a slow, painful death) we see how much it can destroy a human being.
The end of the show deserves some praise, because while it ends on a massive cliffhanger, it has provided enough answers for me to be satisfied for a bit while also thirsting for more.
If I have a criticism of this anime, it'll be the animation which I found to be a bit less likable that I'd have wanted.
That said, it's an amazing show and I'll recommend it to anyone.

Apparently, Shuichi is a normal boy who for some reason transforms in a huge plushy dog. He doesn't know why or how, then he meets Clair Aoki whose sister killed their parents and is gone. The two come together to unravel the weird mysteries around their lives and the town they live in. The plot of Gleipnir made no sense to me for the most part and even as I've seen 13 episodes of the first season, the story is still incredibly weird. That said, they did a fantastic job with the characters.
Shuichi has shades of Shinichi from Parasyte. They both followed similar trajectories in

their development and arcs and it was fun watching Shuichi become bolder and a bit more scary. I also liked what they did with Clair and the dynamics she shared with her sister. Furthermore, the relationship between Clair and Shuichi was a high point of this show. I rooted for them and while you know the two are probably not particularly great for each other, you can't help but want to watch them unravel more secrets
Another reason this was quite enjoyable for me was the Intrigue. Look, I have no idea what's going on, but I am incredibly intrigued with what we've been shown so far. There was even a little nod towards Anohana and the themes of friendship and loss that were prevalent in that show.
The animation was crisp and fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the story. I would recommend this if you enjoyed Mirai Nikki and Parasyte.

Brilliant scientist Shinya Yukimura was at his desk one morning when his female colleague, the beautiful Ayame Himuro, declared that she was in love with him. Dumbfounded by her assertion, Yukimura asked for evidence of her love. She couldn't give a definite answer, but both being scientists, they decided to try and mathematically prove their love for one another using tried and tested mathematical algorithms.
Now, if you're like me, you'll be absolutely blown away by that premise. I mean, a guy and a girl trying to 'solve' love using math? I don't like the subject, but I was certainly intrigued.

exciting premise is where the fun ends.
This was a romantic comedy, but I didn't really care about the romance and I didn't find many moments genuinely funny.
I found this to be a bit of a bore. That said, it did have its funny moments and the mini math lessons in each episode was well done meaning you'd at least learn a thing or two while watching it. Hence, as an intriguing look into how two individuals can perhaps mathematically solve the conundrum that is love, it makes a somewhat compelling case, but as a romantic comedy anime with protagonists you're supposed to root for, it fell flat in my opinion. I personally wouldn't recommend this unless you're a die hard slice of life fan.
