What do Japanese people have when they are teenagers? That's it: powers!
Charlotte seemed to me to be just an anime in which teenagers with powers are amazing and fight each other and date and fall in love with blah blah blah.... but I was wrong, you'll see. So here's why. It will be quick and painless.
Story:
Teenagers seem to have special abilities for some reason. I'm not going to tell you the synopsis, because you already have it on this page. What I'm going to tell you is that what the synopsis says has something deep inside that makes this series worth to watch. You
...
may find some episodes repetitive and/or boring (actually some of them are) but in about the middle of this series you'll find the reason for all of this to happen. And you'll automatically feel the 4 or 5 first episodes make sense. Then you won't be able to stand up from your chair.
The ending (no spoiler) won't let you down somehow. But it will make you think if was has happend is the right thing or if anything else could have been done instead.
Art:
I loved the art. Seriously. Effects are great, character models are quite fine, animation is fluid and ambient light, occlusion, shadows and environment were perfectly implemented. This kind of animation is the one I love.
Sound:
Good opening tune. Some dramatic and melancholic music really fits the situation. And there's nothing else to highlight.
Character:
At first you'll think main characters are pointless or flat. But some of them have such deep you wouldn't imagine. You just have to follow the story, and gaps will be filled up by themselves.
Enjoyment:
It made me go from *meh* to *great* in a few episodes. It made me see this wasn't the typical "cool teenagers with powers" anime, which made me enjoy this series to the end. It's a bit more mature.
Overall:
You'll lose nothing watching it. In fact, you may gain something. I totally recommend it, as it has been one of my favourite animes of the season. And I hope you'll give it a try and like it too.

Gangsta. Sounds like an anime of bands and prostitutes and fights. Well, it IS actually that, but its story makes you feel something else. So here I'm telling you reasons why wathing it could be right or wrong. It will be quick and painless.
Story:
Yes: bands, prostitutes and problems between those bands in a fictional city. Three main protagonists exposed to that kind of life. What makes it a little bit different is the well set backstory of all of this and the pace in which those events occur. It knows how to get you uneasy at the end of each episode.
The ending (in advice) seems
...
to lead to a second season though.
Art:
Well, sincerely, the animation is a little bit poor sometimes, but it's a good job anyway. I don't usually complain about animation except on some extreme cases (not this one).
Sound:
Some funky, electro-funky gangsta-badass music in the background is what will highlight when you watch it. Nothing more to say. Oh yes, loved the opening tune.
Character:
There're no flat characters. Main protagonists have their own past, and this past is well placed and developed. I really like the depth this anime gives to its characters.
Enjoyment:
I actually enjoyed this anime. It looks like the typical "punch somewhere, fight somewhere else" at the first episode, but you'll see it's more than that. And when you realize it, you'll really enjoy it.
Overall:
One of the best series of the season, I recommend watching it to try something else. I mean, to escape from school and dailylife mainstream.

Perverts of the world. Please get together in one single anime. That is, this one, of course. You won't be disappointed.
Here it is, a review of this singular but enjoyable (at least for me) anime. It will be quick and painless.
Story: 6/10
Although this story isn't a quite melodramatic or epic one, it had its point... somehow. It's just some teens trying to restore perversion taken from their wotld (as anyone would do). There're a lot of dirty jokes (which make the story have lots of sense) and some dirty scenes too (some of them don't leave too much to the imagination). But damn, I liked
...
that sh**.
Art: 7/10
It's so simple it really fits. There're not so many special effects or amazing animation effects, but I think this is not an anime that should have them. The right animation for a comedy (singular) anime.
Sound: 6/10
Well I loved the ending. Sound effects in the series are played when needed (wink), but there's not a memorable soundtrack for it, nor it needs it, I think.
Character: 5/10
I know, I know, this is a comedy (again, singular) anime, and characters aren't usually deeply developed in those kinds of series. And this one wasn't the exception.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I laughed so loud in every episode I think I should worry about it. I really enjoyed this series, for a strange reason.
Overall: 9/10
Pervert/curious/comedy lover one? Do watch it. This is a kind of anime you'll never forget. If you like these kind of things you know. So you better have some sense of humor (and some dirty one if possible) if you want to enjoy it too.

Why not asking the dragon you have inside where it is, but instead going into a risky journey to find it having no idea? Well, that Chaos Dragon! A series that broke all my expectations since first episode.
So here I am writing a review of it for those who haven't watched it yet and, in some way, want to do it. It will be quick and painless.
Story: 3/10
Is it me, or everything that happened did it freakingly fast? Also, the story wasn't quite interesting to me. It's terribly simple and repetitive (you'll see), and in a super fast pace and nonsense. Good for a
...
videogame (from which this anime comes), but not for a series.
Art: 2/10
Horrible 2D animation and terrible 3D. The dragons were ugly as hell and poorly animated. Models were poor detailed, as it were drawn by a child. Battle animation is quite poor. Do you want me to tell more?
Sound: 4/10
Nothing to highlight. That's the problem.
Character: 4/10
Most of the characters have no development, and those who do it turns to be quite pathetic though. The main protagonist is the most developed one, but his past is quite simple. Also, as I said, terrible models.
Enjoyment: 2/10
I only finished this anime to getting it out of my "watching" list. I wasn't really interested on it (well, I actually was before watching it).
Overall: 4/10
Do watch it... when you don't have anything else to watch (in that case try to find something else). It's not an anime that will blow your mind. It could, but not in the right way.

I might not have to be so harsh with it, because it's a simple OVA, but here we go. It will be quick and painless.
By the way, it can't be called a sequel because it has nothing to do with the series.
Story: 2/10
Do you want to see all your favourite characters from Isuca in bikini/swimsuit/half-nude in an island that no one knows why they went to? Then this OVA is for you. Oh, also there's some mistery arround that island but it leads to nothing in the end, you'll see. So it's just harem in a beach.
Art: 5/10
It's the same style as the original series.
...
I don't find it a masterpiece nor horrifying.
Sound: 3/10
Well, there's no much sound to play in this OVA. And the few things that were played were plain. Not a OST to enjoy to.
Character: 1/10
Well, character personalities are intact. But as you might imagine, no development.
Enjoyment: 2/10
I went to do other things while playing this OVA because of the overstanding enjoyment I had. Being serious, you won't enjoy this unless you do love beach and harem episodes.
Overall: 2/10
Do not waste 20 minutes of your life, just try to watch anything else. Or you can watch it while doing some other things, you wouldn't waste your time so much in that case
