Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter has become one of my favourite piece of fiction.It starts off as a lighthearted Shounen adventure series that slowly transforms into a Seinen and just blows your mind away with its storytelling that's focused on grounded realism mixed with adventure and some of the best characters ever.What I loved most about this anime is the fact that it trusts it's viewers intelligence it doesn't try to over explain anything it trusts us to figure things out by ourselves which is very entertaining as a viewer and kept me hooked till the end.The story takes us places we never even imagined.
Gon,Killua,Leorio,Kurapika
...
these are the main characters of the story and they are all f***in amazing.
I don't understand how Togashi has written all of them so beautifully it's just amazing and the side characters are also so well written which is very rare in my opinion.
This anime boasts one of the greatest villains I've ever seen Meruem,I can't say much about him cause of spoilery reasons but keep an eye out for the King 😉.
Speaking about villains Togashi has some of the best villains in anime like Hisoka,Pitou,Youpi,Pouf,Uvogin,Chrollo,Feitan,Pakunoda, Phantom Troupe,Illumi they're all so compelling and evil that it's so hard not to be mesmerized by their villainy.Then there's the Hunters like Netero 🐐,Bisky,Knuckle,Ikalgo,Morel,Knov,Melody,Kite,Ging etc These guys are the fu***in best man 🥹 I love them all
There are times when I cried because of how much you get attached emotionally to these characters and there are certain story beats that'll leave you stunned hyped and just crying your heart out
It's one of the best stories ever told please watch it 🙏🏻😭
Gon as a protagonist is so innocent yet devilish at the same time he'll do anything for his loved ones and that itself can become his weakness but we all love Gon cause he's the best 😍
Killua is the coolest anime character ever he's deadly when he needs to be and such a goofball when he doesn't and that's the dichotomy I love about him.The best thing about this show is Killua's and Gone friendship true brothers enough to make a grown man cry 🥹
Kurapika is the calm collected older brother that keeps them in track but he can't do that often cause of his bloodlust towards his enemies but it's ok cause when Kurapika smiles it lights up the whole world. He's suffered so much yet he's willing to sacrifice his needs for his friends and that's why I love him he is sucha complex character but the gang keeps him chill.
Last but not least The Goat Leorio
This man is another reason why I love Hunter x Hunter with a passion he's just us the funniest straight to business no bullshit ruffian with the heart of an angel him and Kurapika's friendship is just heartwarming to watch even when he's the weakest he's there for everyone when they need him doing whatever he can and he makes up for his weakness by being street smart and funny as hell.I would say if Gon is the heart of the gang he's the blood vessel that connects everything together.
Madhouse Shoutout section
This is my favourite anime studio but my god they have knocked it out of the park with this anime.They have consistent high quality animation throughout the anime which is kinda rare in a weekly anime but damn it's Madhouse they're the Goat afterall but seriously it's so well animated elevating the story to an astronomical level the fights the direction the music evrything is perfect.Oh and it has some of the best voice acting I've heard in anime especially Gons VA Megumi Han.
Also it has one of the best power systems in Anime Nen so original so unique has its own set of rules that Togashi doesn't budge on you can use it in your own way to achieve incredible power but by applying limitations or in other words sacrificing certain things that are important that's one other thing I love about this anime there are no magic asspull powerups everything is clear and calculated everything has consequences if you face a strong enemy you have to use every weapon in your arsenal to defeat him or you might die even if you are the mc that's how brutal raw and real HxH world is and the worldbuilding is amazing as well.
Hunter x Hunter has taught me a lot of things

The weight of consequences
The stronger your Resolve the stronger you become
The importance of Nakama
The importance of adventure
Last but not least enjoy the detours cause that's where you'll find things more important than what you want 😉
