If you are a fan rom-coms but dislike all the 'will-they-won't-they' BS, love rivals, lack of communication-driven misunderstandings, and all the other more tedious aspects of most romance manga, then this is a definite must-read. It's just a super sweet and fairly realistic slice-of-life with two average adults that each have quirks, insecurities, and lives of their own learning how to open up and share their life with another. Definitely a feel-good recommendation.

And because this site demands a character minimum, please enjoy the following poem "No Man Is An Island" by John Domme:

Not sure why this gets so much hate. There are only 12 episode of 2 minutes a piece, so there's no long-form story-telling happening, but it's perfectly serviceable otherwise. It's like they took the scenes or skits from a longer anime and cut them out into their own thing. Even if you don't like it, it's less than half an hour of your time. It's not gonna light the world on fire, but I've definitely wasted 30 minutes on worse shows.

As for the story, it's nothing you haven't seen before in any other siscon/brocon anime. Not unique, not really terrible, ... my only real issue is that the sister in question is supposed to be in middle school. Come on authors, if high school is the default, you're going the wrong way.

First thing to understand: this show is WAY more "Rom" than "Com". If it weren't for the very occasional humor, this would definitely be a full-on drama. I see other reviews here and genuinely do not understand the hate that this anime is getting. Overuse of tropes and cliches seems to be the biggest condemnation, and while I certainly can't deny their existence, they do not drag the story down nearly as badly as everyone makes them out to. The sheer fact that we have one of the rare anime that doesn't make us wait for 50 episodes for a ... lackluster confession and then end credits is already to be applauded. That we get to watch the main couple actually being in a relationship versus waiting 10 years for them to start a relationship that we never actually get to see is fantastic. Overall, I can recommend it, however...

The ending is happy, eventually, but the last few episodes leading up to the ending are *BRUTAL*. If you are someone that has no desire for even more misery and depression in your life, even temporarily, then don't even start this one.
