~Note~
-Possible Spoilers
- I have the second season in mind.
If you are a harem fan you would probably at least once ask the question, "What if the main character chose the other girl." Amagami SS is the answer to that question. I'm a big harem fan, but was never the romance specific type; that was until I watched Amagami SS.
-Story: You are introduced to the story with Tachibana Junichi. He was stood up by a girl on Christmas Eve 2 years ago, and now he has given up on love. The story follows with that mindset at the start of each story arc. Each arc
...
includes Junichi, our main protagonist, and one of the six girls as the main heroine. There are six main arcs that are four episodes long, and two other arcs for Miya, Junichi's sister, and Risa which are one or two episode only. As far as story goes, these six girls are either girls he already knows or never met before. What I really love about this anime is, each girl has a happy ending. It doesn't matter if you like one girl more then the other, because they all have happy endings regardless.
- Art: The animation is good. I seen a lot of anime that aired in 2010-2012 and this is got to be one of the best. One thing that stood out, which was really original, was how they changed the opening and ending animation to which girl is the main heroine for that arc. I really like how in the second season, they would put the main heroine in the last to show us that was for their arc. Even some little animation changes really made this anime better.
- Sound: The sound for this anime was outstanding as well. There was a lot of likeable songs. In the first season, at the end of every episode; had different ending songs for each main heroine. The opening songs for both seasons were all really upbeat but it's amazing how they also set the mood for a romance anime.
- Character: The characters are this anime are just the best. I have no way to describe them with words but the best or perfect. The character development for this anime was one of the best I ever seen in an anime.
To think they did so much with only four episodes each girl is well deserved of praise. Sure, in each arc only one girl gets basically 100% attention, but they have their own respected arcs so you can't complain. All the girls have their only unique personalities which is one thing I really like about this anime. They make it so you at least like one girl. But I liked all the girls, they were all unique, had their own problems to deal with. The only thing I could even say I didn't like as much, is the main character Junichi. There were some moments where he just seemed so oblivious of things, that it was annoying. But I won't hold it against the anime because it made things more interesting to watch.
-Enjoyment: Let me just say if you don't enjoy this anime, you probably won't like any other romance anime out there. You are given six arcs with different girls with different personalities. Because of their different personalities we have to watch Junichi approach them differently. This anime has also a lot of comedic moments. Lots are revolted around Junichi, because his the typical perverted guy. So I hope you can imagine some things he does. Each arc has a different senses of comedy because it revolts around the girl's personalities but there are definitely comedy in this anime for sure.
-Overall: No matter what mindset you watch this with, I guarantee you will like this anime. I was a person who did not pick up on the romance genre but after watching Amagami SS I will start too. Whether you watch this with a open mind or expectations, you will be begging for more.
-Pros:
- Six different girls.
- All have Happy Endings.
-Anime very is original in every way.
-Likeable characters.
-Very well developed characters.
-Cons:
-I beg for another season.

~NOTE~
- I have not read the manga to compare to the anime.
- May contain spoilers.
If I were to describe Gokukoku no Brynhildr in one word, it would be "Potential." This anime has so many bad reviews, but I think it's mainly from people who are comparing to the manga. Regardless, after seeing this anime get compared to Elfen Lied, I gave it a try since I was a fan of that anime.
-Story:
~Pros: When I started watching, I was just expecting exactly what the detail description says. I never would of guessed this anime would a harem. This anime is a combination
...
of sci-fi/ harem. As a harem anime fan, this was refreshing to watch because it is different from the normal ones you often see. (until it never picked up again.) Another thing that hit me by surprised was this story about these girls that have different powers, "witches", that escape from laboratories. As far as the story goes, I think it's good. It may not be original but it's different.
~Cons: The biggest problem with the story is, there are so many unanswered questions. One: how did these girls end up in the labs. Two: how exactly did they get their powers. Three: why are only girls experimented. Four: how long were each girl there.
-Art:
~Pros: The animation I would say it's decent. ONLY, because I expected more from an anime that aired in 2014. One thing I really liked about this anime was the first opening. That opening, I honestly don't know how to describe it, but unique and it really pulls you in. As the anime progresses, there are scenes where the girls are covered in blood. Honestly, after finishing this anime that's all I remember about the animation.
~Cons: The fight scenes wasn't as appealing as I hoped. I didn't really care who would win.
-Sound:
~Pros: For the sound, the only thing that stood out to me is the first opening song, and parts of the ending song. I really thought they fit the mood of the visuals. The first opening is another example of different since it had no vocals compare to other anime.
~Cons: Murakami's Crying.
-Character: This part of the anime is where I had so much problems with. ~Pros: The only thing I liked was the different personalities of each character. I like how Murakami is such a nice guy. Like seriously, the man died twice, goes out of his way to jack pills for girls, almost died pulling girls up when they fall down a hill. I especially like Kazumi's pervertedness and Kotori's airheaded personalities.
~Cons: My Biggest problem was character development. I somewhat remember how Murakami was tutoring this girl. What was the whole point of that, because she only showed up in two episodes and was gone. The character development was so poor done, I honestly barely even cared about the deaths. They never told us if the girls had any family, or even how their childhood are. We only know about Murakami and Neko's childhood but barely. I was sad only at Kazumi and Kotori's death because I liked them, but girls like Nanami or Hatsuna didn't really care. It felt like they added characters, and didn't know what to do with them so they killed them off. My personal problem: the romance never picked up! what kind of harem is this.
-Enjoyment: Aside from the problems, with a open mind I really did enjoy this anime. When Kazumi is perverted around Murakami, those scenes were really enjoyable. I especially like when a new witch appears, I always wonder what their power is. Scenes where Neko gets jealous and explodes things that was also enjoyable. Also found the things Murakami did for the girls was enjoyable. (things in the character section) Biggest enjoyment to me was when Murakami kicked Chisato in the face. I was waiting for someone to teach him a lesson.
Overall: Even though, there are many problems; we need to understand they only had 13 episodes so they have to rush the story. I still say this anime had a lot of potential. If you can easily ignore these problems, go ahead and give this anime a chance.
~ Pros:
- unique 1st opening.
-sci-fi/harem
-"witches" with different powers.
- likeable characters
~Cons:
-rushed anime
-THE ENDING.

~Note~
- This will be my first anime review.
- Might contain spoilers.
Ga-Rei: Zero, is one of those anime that blew my expectations away; truly an anime I wished I discovered sooner. This anime is so underrated, I hope this review does some good.
"Will you kill someone you love, because of love?"
That quote was what got me interested, and I watched to find the answer.
-Story: Basically two girls, Yomi and Kagura, that has experienced deaths of loved ones by demons. They both belong to families that are destined to be exorcists. They do their best to live up to their family names. One day they
...
met and began to live together as "sisters". They then go and hunt and exorcise demons, which no ordinary human can see, under an agency that specializes in fighting demons.
-Art: I thought the animations were good for an anime that aired in 2008. Byakuei and Ranguren looked awesome. The fighting scenes are well executed. I also really enjoyed the final fight scene. I have to say that the first episode's animation could of been more appealing.
-Sound: I don't pay attention to the sound effects as much, but I said they were good. I really liked the opening song, probably one of the few I don't skip.
-Character: I say this is one of the good aspect of Ga-Rei: Zero. Within the flashbacks, you really get the chance to know more about Yomi and Kagura. You get to find out what their families expect from them, what they been through, and you get to see the change from when they first met to the last scene. Yomi and Kagura were well developed, but supporting characters were not as much. Maybe due to the fact that a bunch of characters got killed in one episode. There was also this white haired kid (forgot his name or wasn't even mentioned) which did some evil stuff and then disappeared 2-3 times. Also got to mention Yomi is my favorite character!
-Enjoyment: I really enjoyed this anime. Enjoyed the fight scenes, the sisters moments, and the family drama. This anime did its job of the demon-exorcist story, but also added overpowered "spiritual beasts" that wrecked stuff up, which was enjoyable.
-Overall: This anime is a without a doubt, a must see anime. You will definitely enjoy this anime if you watch it with an open mind, and don't pay attention on the small things. This anime started from an anime that I missed out on to being one of my all time favorites. What's even better is this is a prequel so it only contains a small amount of the whole story since it continues in the manga. So some things such as character development might be resolved there.
