Story 8/10
Light Yagami is a high school student who one day discovers a "Death Note". With it, he plans to rule the world free from criminals. However, his killings catch the attention of notorious world famous detective, L. Now, it becomes this game of cat and mouse. Who will win at the end?
I gave the story 8/10 because the second half of the series was weaker than the first half to me. Like, I'll be honest, there were times I felt bored. But, the story is still amazing. It's one of the best
...
stories I've ever seen, along with Dangaronpa. And man, that ending.... (Of course I'm not gonna spoil the ending that'd be stupid :P)
The story also raises questions on moral. What is right? What is wrong? If you're a person who likes to debate with yourself and talk about issues, then you'll love this story.
Art 10/10
The art is very dark, which fits with the tone of the anime perfectly. 'Nuff said.
Sound 9/10
The soundtrack is amazing. I gave it a 9 out of 10 because opening 2 to me didn't fit with the anime. I just wish they kept the first opening. And, the endings weren't all spectacular, but they were still good.
Character 10/10
What makes Death Note truly special is its protagonist, Light Yagami. You got this high school kid that turns into a hero because he's getting rid of all the criminals in the world and then he turns into this horrible evil villain in the eyes of the government. Light Yagami is a protagonist that you can sympathize and really understand where he comes from. But then you see how the notebook changes him. And you see how he manipulates other people into doing the killings for him. It's so rare to see an anti-hero character in anime. And Light Yagami is really one of those characters that I really understood where he was coming from and why he did what he did, but at the same time, he's one of those characters I also hated because he would manipulate people and take advantage of their desires to his liking (i.e calling his father an asshole at his funeral).
You also get these other characters that really add to the story because you get their perspective on the situation. The characters will really pull at your heartstrings and maybe even make you question yourself more.
Enjoyment 10/10
This experience has just been mind-blowing! I really love thrillers (shows like The Mentalist, Dexter...) and Death Note is the very first thriller anime I've seen and is the best thriller anime ever in my opinion!
Overall 9/10
This anime is a MUST WATCH for any anime fan and anyone looking to get into anime. I don't usually like to say that an anime is a "masterpiece" because I believe no anime is perfect, but this anime is a "masterpiece" in that it has its own unique story and characters that we can probably relate to in real life. I really recommend you guys to check out Death Note if you haven't already.
If you like Death Note, then I also recommend you check out Dangaronpa as they both raise questions on morals and they both kind of have the same feel, but not really. Yes, I could've probably recommend Code Geass and Monster like everybody else has but I haven't seen those shows yet. I'm not going to recommend shows that I haven't seen yet.

(There are about three seasons of the show, however, I will not be writing detailed reviews for the other shows since well to me, I always pretty much got the same feel except for the sequels, the story deserves a 7/10 but really not much difference honestly. But yeah, for those of you who follow my reviews, just know that I may not always reviews the sequels to the show. Without further ado, let's get into it!)
Story 6/10
So, Dangaronpa is based off the games. Now, I have played the games before watching the anime. And I'll say, I do feel like they rushed the story
...
a bit. Like, I really wanted them to take their time explaining each case, but it felt like they just rushed right through the entire case. What they should've done is do more episodes and really take their time explaining each case/class trial.
Also, I really can't say much about the story 'cause that would spoil one of the special parts about Dangaronpa.
Art 9/10
The art is nicely done. They did seem to make it look like the game, like I didn't really appreciate that they added a bit of gaming style to it. It's an anime, just stick with an anime style. The gaming bits weren't necessary.
Sound 9/10
The openings and endings are very nice. I just wish they used a different soundtrack instead of the game.
Character 9/10
Dangaronpa is known for having different characters. Honestly, it's a question of taste. I liked some characters and some characters I really didn't care much. Not gonna say anything more 'cause that would really spoil what makes Dangaronpa special.
Enjoyment 7/10
Despite the story flaws, I ended up quite enjoying the anime. I felt like it was a very nice homage to the games.
Overall 8/10
This is not a perfect first anime adaptation, but the sequels were so amazing that I'm actually glad and enjoyed watching this series. I honestly love the Dangaronpa games. But yeah, I really recommend checking out Dangaronpa. It's got a unique premise and interesting story. I recommend starting with the games first, then watch the anime. This anime may not sastify you, but it is worth the watch so that you understand the sequels and I promise the sequels are better! Play the games first that way you know what you're getting into. But, overall, I really recommend Dangaronpa to anyone who likes dark and gritty animes.

Story 6/10
There are many arcs of Bleach, but the story pretty much goes like this: Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a substitute soul reaper.
A lot of story arcs hit and miss. Honestly, the arcs I really enjoyed was the Arrancar Arc and the Zanpakutou Rebellion Arc. The rest just kind of missed for me.
Not to mention, they could've made a better ending.
Art 10/10
The art is just great. I really can't find flaws with the art. It can be colorful at times. The fight scenes are nicely done.
...
Sound 10/10
Bleach has many ten openings and endings (not gonna list them all 'cause there's a lot lol) But the soundtrack is just awesome. 'Nuff said.
Character 7/10
The Bleach characters aren't very bad. Some characters are average and some characters, I really liked (i.e Soi Fon, Toshiro Hitsugaya, and Byakuya Kuchiki). The villains are ehhh. Aizen is pretty much the only villain I liked. I also really like Ulqiorra.
Enjoyment 7/10
Despite some hit and miss, I ended up enjoying the anime.
Overall 7/10
Bleach, like Sword Art Online, is a anime that you either will like or hate. If you like shonen, then I recommend Bleach. But if not, then skip this. That being said, some arcs in the show are good so if you don't want to watch the whole show because it's very long, just go through some arcs. Or you can do this: I was told for long anime series to just watch it on the side (watch 1 or 2 episodes a day), then watch something else. So, you can go at it like that.
Also, there's an extra arc in the manga so if you like Bleach and wanted to see more, go ahead and read the manga. They are also talking about rebooting the anime and it will include the extra arc that was in the manga. Not sure what to think of that.

Story 7/10
The story follows Black Jack and his fellow assistant Pinoco trying to uncover what the Noir project is and why he was caught in a bomb accident that killed his mother.
Art 9/10
Same art style from the first Black Jack TV show. Nothing much to say here, except pretty much the same opinion. The art style is great, just to me, I felt like the noses were weirdly drawn and that the background didn't really match some of the frames/drawings.
Sound 10/10
Black Jack 21 has one opening and two endings: Destiny -Taiyou no Hana- by Hitomi Shimatani (opening); careless breath by EXILE, Silence whispers by TRF.
...
The opening and endings match perfectly the tone of the whole series. Don't have much to say here.
Character 8/10
So, they still don't focus much on the patients, but they focused on other doctors that Black Jack has encountered in the past (like "Black Queen"). They improved a bit their character development but the series still focuses on Black Jack. I wished they focused on the patients, but that didn't really improve here.
Enjoyment 7/10
Black Jack 21 is a good watch, but I really prefer the previous TV show. But, it is still a good watch and it's not bad: It has a decent story and it does a good job at keeping the charm that the previous show has.
Overall 8/10
I still enjoyed this series very much, but I recommend checking out the previous series first. You may not enjoy this series as much, but if you just need something to watch, then give this a try.

Story 10/10
The story follows Black Jack tackling many cases. Each episode follows a different case.
So, unlike the Black Jack TV show that came out in the 2000s, this "Black Jack" series is much darker. It is not family friendly.
Art 10/10
For a 90s anime, the art is outstanding. It's got that neo-noir kind of feel. They had a lot of OVAs that came out in the 90s, then they stopped for a bit, I believe. And they resumed in 2011, and they pretty much kept the same art style. I'm amazed that after all those years, they managed to keep the same art style and modernize
...
it! So, the art is amazing and I really respect them for being able to keep the same art style while also modernizing it!
Sound 9/10
The series has four openings and four endings: Just Before Sunrise by Rhodes, Kioku no Kimi eby Another Moon, Moon Shadow by The Orange Vox, Rebirth by Kudo Eiko (openings); I'll Be Back Again --- Moonlight by Rhodes, Kono omoi tsutaerareru (I Thought I Could Convey This Feeling...) by Another Moon, Black Jack by The Orange Vox, HOPE --- Not to be defeated, not to cry, and not to be daunted by Kudo Eiko (endings).
I really like how they changed up the openings and endings depending on the episode. The reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 is because I thought ending 1 wasn't the greatest ending because it's pretty much a rock song and all their openings are pretty much rock songs, and at the end of each case, it's sad so I thought the best ending would be a mellow song and ending 1 wasn't a mellow song. But overall, the soundtrack is just great.
Character 10/10
So, if some people recall my review of the Black Jack TV show in the 2000s, I said that a bit of an issue was that the TV show didn't really go in-depth on their patients. Well, in the OVA, this issue is fixed. Not only do they go in-depth on how Black Jack views his patients, but they also go in-depth on the patient's past. We also see Black Jack interact more with his patients and grow a bit closer to them even. Also, Pinoco does not follow Black Jack in the OVA series, but in the appearances she made, they are good. I honestly prefer Black Jack alone rather than with Pinoco (Pinoco always follows Black Jack in the TV series).
Enjoyment 10/10
I honestly couldn't really find flaws with the OVA series. Everything is just good and the show keeps me intrigued and I feel some sense of sadness out of each case. I mean, this is a dark OVA, so it's suppose to make you a bit sad at times. But, I overall really enjoyed this OVA series.
Overall 10/10
To me, this series is just perfect in so many ways. I really can't find a flaw. So now people may ask, which one should I watch: The OVA series or the TV show? Honestly, watch both! They're both really good, they just have a different tones. If you're looking for something really dark and edgy, then watch the OVA series. If you're looking for something fun, watch the TV series. But, honestly, I recommend both. To me, the OVA series was a bit better, but it honestly comes close 'cause I also really like the TV series. But, I really recommend both.

Story 1/10
*facepalms* I don't get it....
Art 7/10
It's your average animation from the 80s
Sound 7/10
For an anime that is so bad, I'm surprised they had a good soundtrack.
Character 2/10
...
You have a wimpy protagonist who wears a tiger mask kicking ass that is just plain ridiculous. That is literally the only possible good character you get. E-Everything is just so awful.
Enjoyment 2/10
I absolutely hated watching this. To me, this is one of the worst animes I've ever seen (Superkids is still the #1 worst anime I have ever seen!)
Overall 3/10
Don't waste your time with this. Just...don't....

Story 6/10
Ikuro Hashiwaza was turned into a weapon by the Doress Laboratory. He escapes with Sumire, a girl who possesses psychic abilities. Join them as they try to escape the clutches of the Doress Laboratory.
Man, this story had many things going for it. It just...fell flat. I wanted to see more. I really don't know how to describe it.
Art 7/10
I had animation issues here. Like, in some scenes, when they talked, their "mouth movement" weren't in sync. I mean, it is a 80s anime, so I can understand why there was some issues, but it still bothered me nonetheless (I guess you can say it
...
really bothered me).
Sound 6/10
The music choice isn't all great. I-I just don't know what to say.
Character 6/10
The only characters we pretty much get development are Ikuro and Sumire. Their interactions are great, but then when it comes to the villains, it's so one-dimensional. Like, I wanted them to explore Dorress's past more. Like, why are they doing this? What are their motives for creating a weapon? It really wasn't made clear. I wish they explored more of that.
Enjoyment 6/10
I honestly cannot say this was a good experience, but I can't say it was the worse either. I mean, the action is cool and it had something going when it came to the story, I just think it didn't quite came together well.
Overall 6/10
Personally, I wouldn't recommend this anime. But, if you're curious to know what it's about and all of that, then give it a try. If you only care about action, then you won't mind this.

Story 9/10
Black Jack is a "unlicensed" doctor who with his fellow assistant Pinoco takes on difficult cases. Each episode follows a different case. I gave the story a 9 out of 10 because there are 61 episodes of Black Jack, but yet it felt like the show was going to go on, but we never got that.
Art 9/10
The art is good. I'm giving it 9 out of 10 because the noses felt weirdly drawn (go ahead and call me out, I have a picky style lol) and some of the art didn't match the background in my opinion.
Sound 10/10
Black Jack has three openings and three
...
endings: Gekkouka, Here I Am, and Fantastic (openings); Kuroge Wagyuu Kamishio Tanyaki 680 En, Clover, and Careless Breath (endings) I loved all of them. I really don't have criticism for the soundtrack here.
Character 8/10
I just love seeing Black Jack and Pinoco together. They have such great chemistry and interactions together. I gave it 8 out of 10 because well some of the characters (the patients) weren't all great, but they were still good.
Enjoyment 9/10
I really enjoyed the show. It's not the greatest show for me, but it's a nice show to watch if you don't really have a lot of time to watch a whole anime. I know a lot of people who work and they only like have 1 hour, so they would watch Black Jack.
Overall 9/10
Black Jack is a nice, relaxing, and heartwarming show that you can watch anytime with anyone, even non-amine fans. I recommend this show to anyone who just started out in anime and well, the show is fun for the whole family!

*WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED*
Story 9/10
The story begins with Tatsumi, a fighter, who travels to the Capital in order to make money to help his village that has been struck with poverty. He tries to join the army but gets turn down. He then encounters a noble family to take him in. As he stays the night, a group called Night Raid attacks and he learns from them that the family he stayed with has killed his friends. As a result, he then decides to join Night Raid.
Night Raid is a revolutionary group
...
who plan to overthrow the government as the government has put their own nation into poverty. Each member of Night Raid have what they call a Imperial Arm, a supernatural weapon created years ago.
That's pretty much the summary of the story (I tried my best not to spoil much).
I love the story. The reason I give the story a 9 out of 10 is because there are some comedic bits that were badly timed. I understand that they added the comedic bits in order to lighten the mood, but I just found that some of the comedic bits didn't work. I think they probably should've ditched the comedy and kept the tone consistent.
Art 9/10
The art is beautiful. The fight scenes are beautifully done. The reason I took a point away is because there were a lot of scenes during night-time that I thought was really dark. I think they should've put a little more light, but overall, the art is great! (I must be picky lol)
Sound 7/10
Akame Ga Kill has two openings and two endings: Skyreach and LIAR MASK (openings); Konna Sekai, Shiritakunakatta and Tsuki Akari. I thought the first opening wasn't a good fit for the anime, great song, but not the best fit. I thought the second opening was a bit better, until the electric guitar came in near the end of the song. The endings were a great fit for the anime and I honestly found the endings than the openings of the anime. Also, there were guitar parts playing in the episodes when a battle was about to happen and I just didn't think it was a great fit, but it didn't bother me much.
Character 10/10
What makes this anime truly special to me is its cast of characters. I really don't want to talk much about the characters because I don't want to spoil it, but you got all kinds of amazing characters that together make a great family (talking about Night Raid). All I will say is this: don't grow too attached to one character. That's all I'm gonna say 'cause to me the greatness of Akame Ga Kill are the characters.
Also, Esdeath is my favorite villain of all time, hands down. She's just a badass enough said.
Seryu is like the most vile villain I ever met. Don't be fooled by her. That's all I'm going to say.
Enjoyment 10/10
Honestly, I love this anime. It's one of my favorite animes. I really enjoyed the show overall. I love that it's a serious anime and you get dark moments, but they try to ease it up with comedy and I respect them for trying.
Overall 9/10
(Sometimes, the way I give the overall score is I add all the scores from the five categories: story, art, sound, character, and enjoyment. I then divide the total by 5 for the overall score, sorry forgot to say that in my previous review. Keep in mind it may not always be like this. I just do this when I'm not sure what overall score to give).
Many people have hated this anime because it does not follow the manga (I haven't read the manga by the way). And this is what I say: just because a manga is turned into an anime, it doesn't mean it has to be exactly like the manga! Also, a lot of people don't like the show because of the humor, which I can understand. So just letting you know what to expect of this show: don't expect it to be happy or something like that. This is a show that is dark and should be taken seriously. If you think of it as a dark show and focus on the characters and just forget about the comedy, hopefully your view of the show may change. But I just find it awful that there are people hating on the show because it doesn't follow the manga. If you like dark animes, then I definitely recommend this. However, this is how I recommend to watch the show. The show is dark and can be depressing. It will get you. Watch the show and when you feel a bit down from the show, watch something else because it is a really dark show and will get you. Overall, Akame Ga Kill delivers what it promised: a dark anime.

Hi guys, and today I'm here to provide my review of Swort Art Online. So, because this is my first review, I'd like to explain how I'll do my reviews: I'm going to score into five categories: story, art, sound, character, and enjoyment. Then, I will give a overall score and my own thoughts of the anime. Now that that's out of the way, let's just get right into it.
*WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED*
Story 6/10
Sword Art Online is divided into two story arcs: Aincrad Arc and Alfheim Arc (also known as Fairy Dance).
...
Sword Art Online started off very strong with the Aincrad Arc. The main character, Kirito, and many other players log on to Swort Art Online, a virtual game. Everything goes well, until one day, a mysterious figure appears and tells them that they are trapped in the game and that in order to get out, they must beat the game. One catch, should they die in the game, they die in real life. So, the story is very nice and starts off very interesting so far. The only criticism I may have is that there are episodes, even though it's the Aincrad arc, they feel like filler and just a bit out of place at time. Like, after some episodes, I was wondering what it had to do with the actual current story that's going on, if you know what I'm saying. Overall, it's a very good arc and I like the interactions between Kirito and Asuna. I'll also admit that I do feel like the story was a bit rushed, like I wanted to see more episodes of how Kirito leveled up for example. But, it's still a interesting story.
The Alfheim Arc is a continuation of the Aincrad arc. It's been two months since the Sword Art Online incident. Kirito continues his normal life since the incident and visits Asuna who has yet to wake up from her coma (spoiler: Asuna sacrifices herself in order to protect Kirito.) One day, he discovers an avatar named "Asuna" in a game called Alfheim Online and goes in to investigate and rescue her. In my opinion, this story arc is weaker than Aincrad because it feels like a repetition of the first arc. Get in the game, beat it, and get out. I also had problems with some of the character development in the story, but I'll get to that when I talk about the characters.
Art 10/10
The art is one of Sword Art Online's strongest suits. I just really like the art. It's very colorful and pretty to look at. The character design and animation is just awesome! I really can't find anything wrong with the art.
Sound 9/10
The soundtrack is amazing. I love both the opening songs: Crossing Fields and Innocence. I'm giving a score of 9 out of 10 because I thought the endings songs were good, but not like awesome. The music for the fight scenes is nicely timed and a great fit for the fight that's happening.
Character 4/10
The main character of Sword Art Online is Kirito. Now, many people don't like Kirito because they say he is overpowered and in a way, that is true. But, when Kirito isn't in the game, he's pretty weak. And I think that's what makes him special in a way. He has all this power in the game, but yet, he himself feels powerless and really weak because of the effects the game had on him in the real world. And you can see that because Kirito feels guilt after coming out of Sword Art Online and I guess you can say, he does have some kind of PTSD 'cause he gets flashbacks of the horrible things he had to do in order to survive. I guess what I'm trying to say is what makes Kirito special is the emotions he feels.
A second main character of Sword Art Online is Asuna. At first, I really liked Asuna because she was this strong female character and I've always wanted to see more strong female characters in anime. But then, she turns into a weak character in Alfheim Online. And I know I'm not the only one who has this criticism.
Now, another character that isn't in Sword Art Online, but in Alfheim Online is Leafa also known as Suguha, Kirito's younger sister/cousin. Her interactions with Kirito start off good as they are pretty much siblings, but then it turns into this weird, creepy love story. Suguha admits to Kirito that she's fallen in love with him. I didn't like that. I found it weird and creepy and just not right.
Then you have other female characters which Kirito encounters in the game like Ayano Keiko and Shinozaki Rika. I was disappointed that I only got to see them once in the game and that they didn't have a bigger role.
Now, the reason I gave a 4 out of 10 is because you don't get much character development, but I didn't really find that to be a problem. In fact, I find it ok that there isn't much character development because Sword Art Online is well pretty much about the game and story. To me, the problem was that every single girl that Kirito encounters, they fall in love with him and then it turns into this harem. And I don't really have problems with harems except for a premise like Sword Art Online, it doesn't really work.
Enjoyment 7/10
Despite its flaws, I found Sword Art Online to be an enjoyable anime. It's a guilty pleasure. The animation and well it's not so perfect story still make me watch it.
Overall 7/10
Sword Art Online is not for everyone, that being said, I still recommend this anime to those who just started anime. Is it the greatest anime of all time? No. Is it the worst anime of all time? No. And for those of you who say it is the worst anime of all time, I got a little challenge for you, go watch Superkids and then come back to me and you can tell me if it's still the worst anime of all time or not. It's an average show. If you're just looking for a good watch, then give this a try. Sword Art Online is also one of those animes that you'll either love or hate. If you're going to watch Sword Art Online, don't have high expectations. It's just a show to watch when you're bored or just looking for a good watch.
