Since the ratings for this movie wasn't all that high, I thought I would just watch it while doing work and not expect much of it.... how I regret that decision. This movie Isn't perfect and some people might have a problem with the MC being too clingy and eccentric. But overall, I think this movie has got really relatable themes and situations. Without giving away too much, this movie puts a heavy emphasis on "appreciating what you have before you lose it". Summer Wars is a movie filled with personality, beautiful art, and great music. The whole movie is a wild ride exploring many different themes and emotions with a rather satisfying ending. The best aspect has to be the uniqueness and diversity of Natuski's extended family. There are cute children, adolescent gamers, a baseball star.... and they pretty much have a family in every type of job. With all these connections this family is able to overcome seemingly impossible tasks. As a a result it was very entertaining to watch.

Two whole minutes of pure motivation of character development. Its is as if you start off at the climax of an anime, and end at the climax. The story focuses two people who strangers (teenage boy and a girl), that strive towards a similar goal and eventually crossing paths. Every moment of this short animation had me rooting for the characters. But it was the worst feeling at the end knowing that this is not going to become a full feature film since it is just a commercial... Nonetheless I still encourage everyone to watch this, even if it means procrastinating for two minutes.
