SCHERZO IS THE BESTEST!!1
So my name's Caroline, known as Thatpersonthere or AlasDearCoriander over the web. I'm a teenage girl who hails from Canada, a mystical land of polar bears and silly accents. As well as being an anime/manga fan, I am also:
-A gigantic pushover
-A bit of a shut-in
-A wannabe artist
-A word maker upper
-A book lover
-A webcomic reader
-A troper
-A kinda shy person.
I'm an avid fan of the Haruhi Suzumiya series, and enjoy slice-of-life. Actually, I first got into Anime after watching Azumanga Daioh.

Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody was all right, at least, because some plot popped in. When Kyon said "let's go" to Mikuru's time travel proposition, almost solely because he was like, "She's dripping-with-cuteness atomically!", that amused me. As well as, the whole continued-irony andsuch of how Haruhi is surrounded by all this strangeness and still isn't aware, yet Kyon is not interested particularly in any of the phenomena, but still a willing participant and casual about it all. Breezy enough to make his odd quips, like "my happy feelings had gone somewhere to the vicinity of Brazil". Well, the movie is supposed to be amazings and long and charming, anyhow.
I recommend you watch Kanon (2006) by the way, if you like that ordinary-guy-surrounded-by-the-fantastic/supernatural aspect (I'm sure this is a trope that you know). Kyon's seiyuu is the main guy, too. It's a little bit harem-y but, not. Also, moeblobs up the wazoo. And the melodrama, it's your kind of melodrama, I think, because while it is might get a tad too sentimental and definitely has Slice-of-life nostalgia, it's not maudlin about it.
Also. This. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOqcheOYMas
Don't you just feel like you're right there in the screaming crowd? I can't tell if those guys in the second link are genuinely that comfortable with their sexuality as to dance like that or what is going on. All I see is pink pants on guys singing a song about a trembling girl's heart.
As for that first one... :x :x. Some sort of horror fashion show. Ripped jeans, pant chain, torn jackets-- gritty? I think that one guy has a shirt that says "EXTREME SUCCESS" printed on the front. That sure is really edgy, "extreme success". I'm sure you find these guys to be heartthrobs though. :P
Webcomic - Gives a whole new meaning to handsome!
Joke blog - Because looking at dictators look over their 'tatorship is always entertaining!
Semi-serious blog - Some sort of artist girl with a bizarre style and humor that I sometimes check, forgot why though.
Scary video - Ok, it's more creepy than anything, but I thought it was pretty well done!
Music - Don't know if you've heard Crystal Castles, but this and this are good electronica, not as trippy as Ratatat though!
And of course, Anne.
That's what everyone does when they wake up. Pretty sure!
Since I know that's just one of your many areas of expertise, know any good books I might like?
I think I'm going to try to watch K-ON. Tis the season for sweets, after all.
