Dungeon Farmer was a series I had no interest in starting. I was a progression protag head when I started and a farming plot didn't seem that interesting, I just saw that it had a lot of chapters at the time and thought that if it didn't disappoint I could at least binge it. And this has somehow become one of my top manhwa reads.

Superhuman Era started as a superhero concept that the author kept pitching to rejection until he ultimately decided to just try and make it himself. Tower Dungeon is the first dark fantasy work of Nihei, Tsutomu yet he manages to come off as a veteran to the field. The mix of his sci-fi monster design gives the series a unique vibe that isn't really found too often within the genre. Small scale environments are able to feel like expansive fleshed out worlds with his incredible use of architecture in his backgrounds, and the dungeon in the series is given strict dimensions yet Nihei manages to portray it with a feeling of scale on the same level as the unending fortress of Blame!.

Apothecary Diaries is an incredibly entertaining series that provides a mix of short entertaining episodic mysteries with some overarching plot threads spun in-between. The format is episodic but the series doesn't milk any setting with there being clear progression as Mao Mao gets to climb the ranks with her accomplishments and go on trips with her schemes. I came into this manga expecting crazy and my expectations still got blown away.
Under Ninja shows a very comedic wacky world that can instantly go from 0-100. The series provides a vibrant cast of characters which it isn't afraid to cut down on at times providing real tension for every confrontation. You get to see multiple gadgets be used for dumb combat ranging from invisible clothes that only make your torso invisible all the way to talking motorcycles and special cardboard boxes.
