Cool. I'm surprised that so many people seem to like that interest stack I made, considering how unique I thought the "twisted euphoria" feeling was to me.
I know other people like the same kinds of series, but I've never heard someone else talk about the unique feeling those series gave me.
I'm the kind of crazy nutjob who smiled all the way through DDLC (with the smile becoming more unhinged and maniacal in the second half), and who has collected a list of other series that have made me feel a similar feeling.
One day, I just decided to post that list on this site, and now I'm getting friend requests from random people for my taste.
It's both easy and hard to describe "twisted euphoria". Euphoria is definitely a good descriptor of the feeling, and twisted is a good adjective for it, but it doesn't capture the full picture. It's an incredibly unique feeling (which is why I even bothered making a list of series that gave me the feeling, in the first place)
I wrote a short description of the feeling in the interest stack page, but it still doesn't fully capture the feeling imo.
Also, the list is kinda complicated, since a lot of the series lower on the list, below Ichinose-ke no Taiza, didn't truly cause me to feel the feeling, (except Youjo to Scoop to maganou, but it's complicated), but they have similar elements or aesthetics.
For example, Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete didn't make me feel the same "twisted euphoria" feeling as Suicide Girl or Fujimi Lovers, but it did make me feel a similar kind of "twisted love" feeling.
And Shinigami ni Sodaterareta didn't make me feel "twisted euphoria" despite the fact that I feel like it easily could've, and the main character's adorable murderer dynamic gives me a vibe very similar to twisted euphoria.
