First of all: This show is great, and does many things right.
The soundtrack is great. The portrayal of war, its crimes, and the effects those crimes have on soldiers and civilans alike is brilliant and very well done.

To keep this review spoiler-free, I will just sum up my main crisicisms here:
There's a giant plot hole, an important character that gets ZERO background eventhough they desperatly need one, and a VERY rushed ending.

Among all these great episode there's one where basically nothing happens. They could've instead used it to answer some of the many unanswered questions or give the ending more time to unfold. Still ...

Take Madoka, and remove (almost) everything that made it so good. Now you have Magia Record.

The Original Madoka had a small, but memorable cast of characters and a pretty simple, but powerful story.
The characters in this show are just cliches and tropes, and even after 13 episodes I didn't care about any of them. In fact I barely even remember them, which makes sense considering there's so many characters that there's simply not enough time to flesh them out.
The story is a mess and I didn't understand much of it, but it seems to negate or at least conflict with what happens in the ...

Promare (Anime) add
Predictable, uninspiring Story (copied from Enen no Shouboutai?).

The characters were boring and one-dimensional. Seriously, I've seen better character development in 23 Minute Episodes than in this 2 hour Movie. The Hero was just a copy/paste of Kamina while lacking his background. The villain was just a cartoonishly bad.

Fight scenes where they just stand and shout each others names while the camera does 360 backflips. The pink/neon colours are cool during the first scene but get boring quickly and don't look like a threat at all. Basically it's an action movie about fire where it's hard to follow the action and the fire looks just ...

Koe no Katachi is painful.
I think a lot of people can agree with this statement after watching the Movie.
The Story it tells is simple, but very touching and relatable for people who either bullied others, watched others get bullied or were bullied themselves - so basically everybody!
Quick Info about myself: I'm deaf on one ear and hearing impaired on the other, and for many years my Life was pretty similar to Shoukos. Especially the Scene where her Hearing Aid was destroyed hit me very hard because the same thing happened to me. (Unfortunatly nobody admitted it and in the end I didn't get the ...
