Mewkledreamy

Fairly long children's shows that feature a girl in school taking care of cute plushy-like creatures that have magic in them too. Character archetypes are quite similar between both shows and use 3D CGI where needed but mainly consist of 2D type drawings. Both are full of silly fun everyday life but what makes them different is that Cocotama is generally more normal whereas Mewkledreamy has some of the humans being magical girls/boys along with this being a slight more romance heavy compared to Cocotama.

Children's shows featuring a girl taking care of cute creatures, tho despite their demographics are children, Chii-chan feels more suitable for children slightly older than if it was for Cocotama. There are characters that are silly and full of everyday fun but creatures in both are kept a secret to most humans whilst the creatures strive in a goal throughout both, Chii-chan repaying kindness to the MC whilst Cocotama are little gods trying to help out everyone in order to become fully fledged gods. The shows are very colourful and there ain't really much threat going on, just the daily lives of the characters as something exciting happens in their everyday lives with the addition of the creatures whilst going to school normally too. They both also have Aki Toyosaki playing as a pink creature and also her doing an ED song as well which is really coincidental.

Tesagure! Bukatsumono
|
Fairly nonsensical comedies of JK girls' random activities within a laid-back club at school that have different topics shown and talked about, lots of meta aspects within too, they are simply shows that aren't to be taken seriously and are just fun to watch. Main difference is the animations where on majority Tesagure uses CGI whereas Kitakubu uses illustrations but both can alternate every so often. Tesagure mainly focuses its meta components with VA's giving thoughts on new ideas whereas Kitakubu's meta moments sometimes revolve around 4th wall breaking such as making remarks to the watchers, bringing up real life things, acknowledging ED song changes. If you enjoy one, you will definitely enjoy the other one!

Punirunes
|
Squishy fictional characters living within everyday modern Japan being taken care of by a girl. Both shows are perhaps more girly in nature and targeted more towards children, tho I feel Chii-chan is more for children~teens whereas Punirunes is more for toddlers~children kinda ages. In both shows, characters meet a variety of different characters, Chii-chan has new chiteijin and random folklore characters shown and Punirunes has new punirunes shown, coinciding a happy everyday life of random fun activities, tho Chii-chan is a slight bit more story-based compared to. Perhaps the biggest differences are that in Chii-chan, their extra characters are kept secret whereas Punirunes seems like common knowledge to everyone, also that Chii-chan series derives from a manga serialization whereas Punirunes series derives from the digital interactive toy (similar to Tamagotchi).

|
Two anime aimed for children set in a colourful environment with fun exciting activities happening every day. Both anime are episodic in nature and mainly compose of the everyday life within both places, appearance-wise their locations are something you'd expect from a children's show too being very spacious and full of greenery. Characters in both are fantastical, Shizuku-chan being very fictional with their drop-like characters and Line Town using mascot characters from its phone app but their characters breathe life and fun in both. Perhaps the biggest difference is the generational gap in both of just under 10 years difference, Shizuku-chan leaning more to your traditional 2000's kids show and Line Town being a bit more modern with phone culture at play. Another difference is that Shizuku-chan introduces a fair amount of minor characters who appear for one or two episodes amongst the main cast whereas Line Town generally play episodes around the 7 characters, sometimes with the occasional character not part of their group appearing every now and then. Both shows are bundled with so much fun and random silliness that if you enjoy one, you will enjoy the other.

Established mascot characters featured in short episode ONA's aimed towards children go around the world. Probably the main difference is that Kuromi can speak and is featured going around Earth where humans reside whereas the Bananya's only speak Banyaneese and you really only see other Bananya's too throughout. Kuromi seems to have more of an established story going around different locations on Earth whereas Bananya they just end up wherever on the planet its set in with not too much plot behind it other than to be cute.

There are pointers within both where you learn more about the species there, one regarding different animal species and the other on youkai. Main difference is that Seton's human MC is a student whereas Yohaji's human MC is a teacher, also that Yohaji leans more towards gag humour and Seton is more ecchi oriented within its comedy.

Their plots differ where one is faking a family (in which the marriage is also faked plus the additional child) to prevent a war from happening whereas the other is faking a marriage to prevent being transferred to a foreign branch. Genres too are different in that one is a slice of life with lots of action and the other is slice of life leaning towards romance Despite the fakery, the MCs would eventually get closer to each other as both series progresses, Forger family becoming even more like a real family and Rika and Takuya starting to develop real feelings through their act.

Both MCs would redo the past in order to live, Tearmoon having some romance in whereas Yariryuu is mainly love too. Given the nature of their settings, they can get a bit political too in their world setting.

They both have their light-hearted moments with interactions to their new pets but a fair bit of serious sad content with overcoming grief. Female MC's isekai as a villianess into the high fantasy romance visual novel they've played and absolutely adore the villianess from when they played the games. Main similarity too is that both MC's are from a family which main magic alignment is darkness but both having isekai'd as children, they make a difference to their futures by being proactive in doing stuff, Akuyaku's MC going dungeon-busting whereas Rekiaku's MC doing lots of muscle training and library spelunking. They have a common ground in a target they strive for, Akuyaku reaching a very high level in order to not die from her fate whereas Rekiaku becoming the best villianess known in history. Their biggest difference is their personalities, Akuyaku's MC is very stoic, cool, and quite blank in expression, meanwhile Rekiaku's MC is rather energetic, confident, and pretty expressive. As well, Akuyaku's MC is not deemed well in other's eyes due to the prejudice against those with black hair which is deemed unlucky, let alone wielding black magic. On the other side, Rekiaku's MC is not prejudiced upon and dark alignment families have a name within the nobility so it's not frowned upon. Their upbringings are very different too, Akuyaku's MC with a family that despise her due to her unlucky hair whereas Rekiaku's family is pretty normal but you can tell they have their fun times.

Main difference is that Hamefura's MC is doing all she can to prevent her fated death from the game's story whereas Rekiaku's MC is just trying to let the story flow as it would normally.

Perhaps the only similarity between these two are talking cats speaking the human language living amongst humans, slice of life's that lean to a certain area. ME features the daily life of a stray cat taken into a family who one days finds out he can speak the human language but is very much SoL family oriented. Meanwhile RA features the daily operations of a ramen place ran by talking cats and the human MC joining the place as a part time employee but is very much SoL work related. Main difference as well is that RA has cats talking normally to human customers although tries to keep it from getting too publicized on social media whereas ME only the cat's family knows he can talk the human language but tries to keep it secret publicly. If you love watching cats talking to humans in one, you will enjoy the other one too.

The MC's in both are always meeting new friendly people along the way. Two adventure comedies set in a fantasy world where humans cohabit with monsters, tho in DnNnH the monsters don't live on the surface like the ones in KHM does. Their art styles are quite similar and have a bit of action in both but the directions in genre face differently despite having the same genres. KHM is very much more gag comedy and DnNnH's comedy isn't as crazy but there are still funny moments. Two slice of lifes with a talking cat living within a family of humans. The stories are different but they are similar with their light-hearted and heartwarming moments amongst some serious things that occur within them, although ME is a lot more comedic and in nature throughout compared to the fairly heavy lore of TnY has as it progresses.
