Thx man, I'd be glad if you shared you rating criteria, it sounds interesting. I really understand your EVA review better now, everybody has different rating standards and taste and tbh I like Pokemon in a nostalgic way and I can see why it appeals more to some people than "adult" anime.

Thanks for elaborating your opinion and your rating system. I have basically one rating system for all anime. I rate them in regards of depth, narrative, presentation, execution etc. and it's clear that I rate childrens anime lower than anime for adults, since the latter have more depth and better execution in most cases.
But I know that people have very different rating systems. I thought EVA 3.0+1.0 was very bold and unique in it's way to portrait the relationships between the characters and dive into their psychology instead of just offering some mecha battles, but I understand that it could feel bloated at times and some characters are executed rather poorly. Though I think that's a very subjectiv matter.

Anyways, thx again for the effort, it's just that I loved the movie and EVA in general.

Rating some Pokemon movie higher than the 2 last EVA movies, haha. Good humor.

i am learning how to draw manga and i know slow stories can be good, i like goodnight punpun a lot, monster and 20th century boys and lots of other some people might consider slow. to me there is no slow story, it depends on what you think by slow. showing panels with no character is not slow for me because it focuses on panels and not characters. it depends on taste.

also berserk never got crushing atmosphere. conviction arc atmosphere was already introduced in black swordsman arc and golden age is all about insanity because you KNOW something is off with griffith and behelit because of black swordsman arc.

also about you thinking i dont know anything about art. if you consider yuru yuri, a childish story with lolis better then berserk that has insane panels, emotions and plot twists, then you are the one who doesnt know art.

berserk has emotions in face, fear, disgust and it has characters that live in that world. yuru yuri is a story about lolis. how could you even give vinland saga lower then yuru yuri. vinland saga has unique characters and setting. i think you are just a weirdo who doesnt know anything about art. art in manga to me is emotion, to you it might be lolis and stuff.

berserk was never bad and even if you think it became bad you cant just give it 5 and yuru yuri higher then berserk. berserk is a masterpiece that happens one in houndreds of years while yuru yuri is just a garbage and easy to make compared to berserk. berserk is one of the most intense and well written stories. in the end berserk isnt that intense but its psichological. you litteraly gaved vinland saga a 5. vinland saga is way more creative then yuru yuri for sure and almost everything you gave higher. you litteraly gaved k-on, a regular slice of life like every other a 7, higher then unique berserk and vinland saga. you have one of the worst ratings on MAL. i could make a slice of life story myself in less then 10 minutes, it has no quality. your taste is a definition of garbage
