First of all both shows are just simply great slice of life anime. In comparison both shows portray the main protagonist moving to a village/remote area and finding themselves in a totally contrasting environment where they see the world from a different perspective. Both shows focus on community, friendship and learning to accept the much slower and strikingly different lifestyle. They both carry a lot of growth for the main character as they struggle to adapt to their new way of living. Both series also have neat comedic moments mixed with very well executed sad/dramatic ones. To those seeking for a more realistic slice of life anime with great character development and an agricultural setting that really creates that heartwarming feeling, definitely give them a watch.
