The idea of romance can go out the window, I would put this more as an ecchi, slice of life. A modern-day surrounding of vehicles and cities with rich people for some reason on estates and in castles.
The show pushes the fan service to make up for the lack of character depth, and storyline as they try and push the guy who loves jousting, the guy who gets injured, the guy who wants to stay involved with jousting but seems to scare to go back and get whooped again.
At the same time, the guy tries to teach someone who finds a love of
...
jousting, and has an interest in him, even if he ignores all romantic interest in a typical harem-esque style. Guy sits oblivious, girls battle for him, just to be mostly stood up.
Its not a great anime, it is not anything special, you want to see who wins and qualifies in the tournament, but everyone ends up friends, and everything is too perfect, which kinda makes me want to vomit. Is the typical slice of life, nothing really happens, despite what happens, and everyone continues on style anime. The art is average by modern standards, the characters poorly developed and typical, soud nothing special but the poor story line, kept a poor enjoyment and overall of 3

The truth is as much as i wanted to like this, I found it difficult. Everything revolves around 2 characters becoming a highly overpowered combination, that pretty much becomes an invincible team that no one can do anything against.
So when tower witches which seem the majority of witches constantly in groups looking to gain power from attacking these two, they constantly look incompetent and useless as time and time again, they fail to learn from anything they do or the massive gap in power.
The story is watchable, but you feel it is flawed on power levels, why tower witches will kill and their
...
enemies won't, how even for an objective that will benefit one side, they fail to work together, communicate, etc,
Slowly it just makes the anime worse from something that could of pushed a 7 with the right narrative down. When is cases like, we just battled and you tried to kill me, oh yeah will let you stay at my house, take risks of what can happen to me, and my apprentice, you start sitting as it hovers between 3-4.
After all the incompetence, then suddenly at the end, we see how suddenly our superpowered witches who no one has really seen most have been prepping some things for years with no magic signature, etc, and the mix signals of why, for the person's power that was supposedly not known about, to weaken the head, the chaos. it just becomes as it struggles for narratives.
So i wanted to like it, but it became, oh they will get through this easy, and that just bored the hell out of me

This is just another trash harem-style anime, that finds a way to make normal trash, even more unrealistic, by filling a school with succubus and incubus and putting a normal human among them.
The main characters are all defective in different ways, a boy scared of girls, a bunch of succubi who could kill the man she kisses accidentally, etc, The cast continues like that with people who can't be honest with each other as they are cowards. Add on top a sister who thinks she is Rambo.
The storyline is almost as torturous as the life the male MC lives, as
...
he is tortured by girls and also too stupid to choose or reject anyone in typical harem fashion. Most of the characters have no features you could like and it is about the ecchi/harem element more than good art, sound, characters, or story
I don't know what's worse the story or the likes of this get produced when so many better animes are left on the sidelines to die.

firstly, i hate when you get an 8-minute anime, and 3-4 minutes seem to be taken by credits/title. I honestly think is stupid. If you can't make something long enough or want to make it just to fit x minutes, then taking from the story for credits is stupid.
The idea of the story has merits but has been carried out in the worst possible way like the writer is trying to sabotage themselves. This unknown child of the demon lord somehow seems to be known to everyone. It doesn't add to the humor, it gives
...
no base idea on who is telling people, and when the portrait comes out, with the hair same, no one notices. It's not funny, just stupid.
It goes on with many ways the person is caught out, but they are never thrown out, or it really cared about, This made it even more stupid, and not stupid funny. The idea of a justice school, run by people of injustice, showed hypocrisy, but of course, was no punishment from above.
So overall the story stays poorly run, the episodes are too short from any real story or character development, the art and sound are mediocre at best, and they all contribute to it being a horrible anime.. There is so much deceit, humor, and subterfuge that could have been run, and instead, they seem to aim for the lowest common denominator and it was horrible

Your generic school romance, where your MC doesn't really fall in love with the girls, but more sorts of accepts their attention and affection to fit in, in my mind. As much as he holds comradery for them, it seems his life is complex enough.
he defends a kingdom that doesn't give a flying fck about him and even leaves him a criminal working himself to the death between handyman work and school on top. All they care about is his ability to defend their new kingdom.
Sadly I would easily have sympathy with his opponents, who are all useless due to how
...
overpowered he is. If they didn't act so mad at stages, that makes them too demented to support, to try and show why they are the bad guys.
Overall the overdone school, harem, ecchi, mecha generation, continues the same derivative patterns of the guy seemingly ending up closest to the tsundere despite the fact, that there are better options even if he never commits to anyone.
To me the story was weak and generic, the characters the usual tropey style of the dopey one, the tsundere, the overly loving...etc, and the guy as most of the time in these shows clueless. for me it was watchable, but it wasn't a good watchable, you wanted to know what happens at the end, but a 12 show that leaves you with signs of more problems to come, was a bit short, but typical of anime
So sadly the strongpoints for it would be its art and sound, where everything else was very bad to bad in my mind

If you're looking for something with a storyline done before in a different setting, and happy to skip out on a decent storyline, this could be for you. It uses the same sort of plot as Hybrid Heart and can be found the derivative of others as it tries to combine leveling up of isekai, with the ecchi for a cheap thrill.
The stories are about a guy who chose to be the lover of 9 valkyries, and you worry at first when you see it as some are pre-pubescent and you think, how far is this going to be pushed. But
...
the FBI shouldn't be raiding you for watching it. It uses the older sisters to try and build up a forced physical and emotional relationship, with your typical guy who doesn't have a care in the world for girls or people.
We get the typical tropey discomfort of the forced fumbling around and uncomfortable situations you're supposed to laugh, or aww at. Personally, I sighed at how badly written it seemed.
The concept is simple, fall in love with the scary-looking guy, be molested, or eventually worse and you will level up. You will have to continue this even when feeling used and abused as the show explains through people's actions.
The fact is they go along with most of it, and he grows more comfortable as things go on, with the idea is ok to be felt up, etc, to save the world even if the reality is, he just wants to study.
I honestly think would be better off pushing this as hentai, as I never understood ecchi that doesn't show nipples when you can see clearly boobs etc, it pushes the fan service that hard especially with 2 of the girls undeveloped as if young teens. The story is derivative, poor at best, and is your typical hopeless loser, gets the girls ambition as a story. The art is mediocre to average at best, and if your in it for ecchi and fan service, you will like it. Sounds not the greatest for setting the mood but it is what it is. Overall it's watchable, but will never be a masterpiece

Ok your typical generic basic boy meets girl, boy likes girl, the boy somehow pulls off dating girl despite their being better options out there for here.
Is your typical anime that the unrealistic becomes possible, and while one person's love life seems to blossom, every one's around them sucks, even though some of them are better matched, but won't take that chance.
It's a sweet enough story of a social misfit, who has been excluded so much, is finally accepted, when someone doesn't realize who he is, so gets to see the good side of him, and judges him differently. It challenges her perceptions of
...
the guy she has even worked with. Whether is how he makes knee-jerk reactions, or things like his piercings and tattoos he hides, as well as his discovery of her vulnerabilities as much as her strengths.
What i didn't like is couples you could see should be together, seemed just not to click, and ones who maybe shouldn't do. As the show goes on, it feels for some parts other couples need a push to form, but horimiya just felt like others' lack of actions was to make theirs shine brighter. It just felt more unrealistic as never been in a class where several couples in relationships never rotated back to each other. It just felt a bit forced by the writers.
Also, it seemed not much effort was made to make the most of dating Hori, s much revolved around the home, and to me that detracted a bit from the story, and going for the submissive style kink just to turn it off so quickly, felt like was more could be done with it.
So to me, the story was average at best, art and music were fine, characters never had the greatest depth outside our MC, so it just felt like an average poorly pushed generic school romance.

This is your typical OP hero, puts his life constantly on the line for friends, after growing up in an orphanage, so the unlikely hero. The story is average at best, as they put a different spin on the OP hero to the usual isekai's out there.
Basically, the planet went bad and is a toxic, corrosive, post-apocalyptic desert. Now kids are militarized early and I don't see many adults in the whole show, so it says to me life expectancy is not high. Your typical monsters have taken over the earth, and only the stronger cities survive as they battle out
...
between military education institutes for parts and equipment and of course the glory,
Of course as usual our hero has a past, and of course, it was doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, so although he wears it like a ton of bricks as a sin, is what most of us would do to see friends and family eat if it was the only choice.
Hardly anyone knows the full story, so hatred builds between some people and the usual poor image of the guy who doesn't care. It's slow, it gets a bit boring and they could fo did in 12 what they did in 24 as it felt like a lot to watch for nothing, and led towards another series, but guess it never panned out.
Sadly a lot of it feels generic character-wise, your tsundere, your wannabe hero, etc. So even though is a bit different, overall, is the usual, monster v hero. Is watchable, and if you are into mechas and post-apocalyptics, you will probably be fine, i was just bored lots. waiting for it to spark into life, or see the obvious.
So story weak, art and sound ok/mediocre, nothing special. sounds ok, characters lack any real depth outside our main, and enjoyment is bad to average.

Is very rare i rate an anime as a 1, as most have something to bring them up to at least a 3, but this lacked a good story, or really any type of story. More SOL, series of events going nowhere. The art and sound were good, but to me they didn't matter when the story, characters, enjoyment, meant an overall waste of my time even looking at this anime.
It tries to link things into the supernatural even though there is nothing supernatural shown in the whole anime really. The idea the daughter I an alien, is quickly removed,
...
and the simply sad truth that she went through something traumatic, and instead of her mother taking her to be counseled, etc, panders to her I'm an alien idea. Is sad the daughter, disappears for 6 months, and the mother doesn't seem to care or be able to handle such a thing, and that was more disturbing to me,
This continues with other characters like a girl in a spacesuit, which goes beyond cosplay, etc, when a girl is barely a loli, and no one misses her when gone for days, begging for food, or going to steal, and sleeping anywhere just to have somewhere to stay.
I can understand wanting a fantasy to get out of the plight of being a failure, being abandoned, going nowhere in life. This anime though tried to do too much and link it to the supernatural, which it failed on. It also failed so badly on the romance side it tried to push, bordering a harem including his aunt and cousin.
Sadly for me, the characters had no real filling to them, the eccentricity, just made it more forced, and left the anime for me, sad, boring, and a waste of a few hours of my time. If you want to watch cut loli's and tweens, you may like it, but if you after a story, good characters, look elsewhere.

Your typical go nowhere harem, just trying to use strange characters as part of the harem to make it interesting, and failing badly.
Where we normally have one clueless male typically as the MC, instead we have a bunch of clueless people, all in love with the same guy, and sometimes a is trying to help b, or b thinks a likes c.
It's obvious and see-through who the show wants someone to be with, as the comparative air time, Though the characters are a bit unique, there is no depth to them, they are generic in thinking and it gets boring quick and is
...
easy to get frustrated at the characters stupidity.
The story is poor at best, with so many times, characters give away the secrets about themselves when trying to allegedly hide it and if they do this in a short spell, imagine a life somewhere. The characters are weak, and not really filled out, and our MC has little to be attracted to, except is horny and looking for someone, but embarrassed about it.
Sounds and art are good enough but is wasted on a poor story that brought no real enjoyment
