Bleach Movie 2: DiamondDust Rebellion is the second installment of Bleach movies out of the four out right now. Strangely though, after watching the hour and twenty eight minute film I still don't understand the relation of the title to the movie itself...Nevertheless in one word, DiamondDust Rebellion is a fairly well enjoyable Bleach Movie.
Story: Now we all know that the Naruto movies don't deliver anything special, (i'm using Naruto to compare because of the similarities to Bleach.) I think in contrast this movies overall plot was a bit better than what i've seen before, so i'll give it that. However the story didn't really
...
provide a great deal of depth or something that really surprised me so i'll call it average. This isn't really a bad thing though, there's a good deal of enjoyment to be found here asuming you actually LIKE the show itself. The movie does a good job at giving characters that we don't normally see alot a small little time to shine, without feeling completely shoehorned in. The plot focuses in on Toshiro Hitsugaya, in my opinion one of the show's stronger characters, and delivers a decent telling of a portion of his past. It did some unique things and had some nice flashbacks with cute moments involving Ichigo's past as well, but like I said if you're looking for a very deep and complex story you won't really find it here. There were quite a few times my friend and I were able to predict the plot fairly easily.
Animation: I will admit the animation is one of the movies highlights despite the show's animations being just sub-par. The environment especially I think looked fantastic for a movie released in 2007. The overall vibe was very grim and Bleek and felt like a gloomy monday. There were some great looking nighttime sequences in the Soul Society and flashbacks with the sunset over a lake that looked gorgeous. The character animations looked great as well, looking very lively and their movements being very fluent and full. The animation did a very good job making karakura town very detailed and lush during parts in the forrest. Overall I'm very happy with the animation from the movie it surpassed my expectations by alot.
Sound: The sound quality is what you would expect, everything sounds as it should from the show and everything's crisp and clean. The Movie included some OST's from the show which were nice to hear in a few scenes, and the soundtrack from the movie exclusively was nice too, it fit the overall vibe well. The movie's soundtrack did what it had to do and i'd have no problem downloading it to my phone and listening to it on the regular so rest assured.
Characters: Now as I mentioned before the movie did a good job and including alot of the characters like the Lieutenants that normally don't get much screen time and giving them a reason to be there. Not for EVERY character here, but with most that's the case. The main antagonist was average nothing really stood out about his character design or his power, but what I do like is his past connection to captain Hitsugaya and while his power isn't UNIQUE, it's kinda cool to see him having something like that...without spoiling it i'm saying this of course. There were two other villians but for the most part they weren't really relevant they were just kinda there. I like what the story did with Toshiro, giving him a bit of a rebellious side which was nice to see. And how Ichigo had a connection with Toshiro as well.
All that said I think there's plenty of enjoyment to be found here. The movie is far from perfect and it's not the greatest anime movie out but if you're a fan of the series I think you'll agree that it's a good installment of the series with the exception that it's not canon of course. There were plenty of moments that surprised me a little or made me laugh and watching all the members of the Soul Society fight is always fun to see. The story may be average but it's easy to overlook that when you're given beautiful animation and some well delivered action sequences. Giving the movie an 8 may be a little too generous, but nonetheless I enjoyed the movie just the same. As I said if you're a fan of Bleach you'll find enjoyment plenty here. If you're not this probably isn't going to change your mind but perhaps you'll like it anyway who's to say.
If you agree with my review or found it helpful give it a thumbs up! Thanks (:

If you're a fan of anime chances are you've heard of the recent series Tokyo Ghoul. This Dark Fantasy/action series has gotten a lot of hype lately, perhaps overhype to be more accurate. While I did enjoy watching the short series, there were many flaws which stopped the anime from reaching its full potential. Now i'm going to say this first, I have not yet read the manga..i'm simply basing the review on the anime itself without comparing the show to its manga counterpart.
Now as I said before it's not a stretch to say Tokyo Ghoul is overhyped. Why? I don't know. Nevertheless there
...
is a lot of potential for the series to perhaps get better when the second season comes around in January. These 12 episodes though suffer from feeling a bit rushed and cramped together, like the studio felt they needed to squeeze as much as they can into these 12 episodes and that certainly hurt the show. Why? Lack of character development, and scenarios and conflicts which are solved fairly quickly before the show rushes on to the next thing. This does eliminate boring filler-like episodes, but I wish I saw characters like Touka, developed more because she was a badass for the time she was given. Another thing the show lacks is a proper goal or "thing" the characters are working towards. For example trying to take down a villain or obtain an objective or like I said a goal. There are a number of antagonists but none of them really feel like a main villain, they feel more like just an enemy for Kaneki and Anteiku to deal with for a few episodes. That said, one of the antagonists in particular actually played a good bad guy; Jason. Towards the finale, you really start to see how he gets into Kaneki's head and make him crack. The amount of emotion that the show hits you with in the last episode was actually incredible. It really makes you feel like you're going through what Kaneki is and that's a quality I wish I saw more. Aside from all that, Tokyo Ghoul lacks a good cast of supporting characters as well. I can't help but to think that this is partially because they crammed 60 chapters into 12 episodes. Hide, Kaneki's best friend is seen a good amount in the beginning but then feels pushed aside and not really relevant towards the end. Some of the other Ghouls who act as supporting characters weren't as well fleshed out as they could've been which is disappointing as well. Nishiki was in my opinion a very interesting character and he was explored in the beginning but after that we don't see too much of him either. At times, the show try's to make you feel bad about a situation a character is going through and to be honest it just didn't work. The series tries to develop Amon as a connectable character but I didn't see a reason to feel bad for him all to much.
That all being said, there is a number of things Tokyo Ghoul does very well. The intro song-unravel by Tk is a beautiful song that fits the tone of the show perfectly. In all honesty It's definitely contender for best anime intro of the season so far. The soundtrack itself doesn't stand out as being anything special though, however it still blends well with the specific sequences and seems to add good rhythm to whatever was going on in the episode. Speaking of episodes, episodes 11, and 12 are by far the stand out of the series. The whole raid scene in episode 11 was fantastic and got my hyped. Due to shortness of time though, there's only so much of it we could see and I admit I wish I saw more. The emotional roller coaster of episode 12 was done very well too, especially the ending fight which was short lived but mildly epic. The animation goes without saying as being gorgeous. Character designs aren't anything ambitious but they did what they needed too. The environments though were the standout of the animation. The city of Tokyo was so detailed and lush looking the CGI was implemented perfectly. Action scenes had good flow and designs of the ghoul weapons- Kagune, looked pretty interesting though they're not completely different from something I haven't already seen. Another thing the show has going for it is the main character, Kaneki. He grew as a character and was developed the best. The show does a good job at putting everything in his perspective and not straying away from that, you see him grow and change especially at the end. The characters aren't interesting enough to drive the story completely but the story itself is for the most part interesting. I can say there was never a time the show bored me. Tokyo Ghoul also does a good job at putting you in this grey area of right and wrong. It's obviously wrong to kill people but is it so wrong for the ghouls to just be alive? Those are some themes sprinkled throughout the series.
Overall I enjoyed the series.. sticking to my guns though, the show has many flaws the next season hopefully fixes. I hope they're fixed anyway because I enjoyed the show and want it to get better next time around. Tokyo Ghoul is nothing great but it's certainly worth the watch. If you like Dark Fantasy or action i'd say that you'll enjoy it. If you're looking for something strictly horror though, you're not gonna find much here. Anyway, apologies for the lengthly review but please give it a thumbs up if you agreed !

At first, I just thought this was going to be a recap movie with some added scenes, as most of these usually are. I was wrong. This movie actually has its own story while recapping some of the series as well, which is pretty impressive to say the least. I actually gave this movie a higher rating than both seasons of the anime because it was just that good to me. Obviously not perfect, but Needless to say, I enjoyed it alot.
As the synopsis says, the story is an anime adaption of the Hiyori manga arc. I didn't read the manga so I didn't know
...
what to expect going into this. What I love is that the movie isn't filler, the story goes deeper into the lure of the angeloids and their world, while delivering an incredibly emotional story. The movie starts off with the usual weird antics of the show. If you watched both seasons you'll know what I mean. The story has a quick run in with Daedalous, and then the recap portion of the movie is narrated by Hiyori, the focus of the story itself. Instead of just coming off as a recap, we learn a bit about her character and her feelings. At the same time she's telling the story from her perspective, so you see scenes where she was added in to the background watching whatever is going on. The story starts off after the events of the second season, so it's not just a filler. The last half hour really picked up, that's what really did me in for giving this movie a 9. In an ecchi comedy, I never would have thought to have seen that much emotion in a sequence. The last portion of the movie really had me in the feels, infact the most emotion i've felt watching the show all together. The relationship between Tomoki and Hiyori was done so well, and I genuinely felt sad at the end. Unfortunatly, some characters like Sohara and Mikako felt pushed aside and not involved in the story at all. This does make sense though, considering the story had to develop Hiyori and make us care about her. The chemistry was on point as ever, the dynamic between the characters (Hiyori and Tomoki in particular) was spot on and packed alot of emotion to the story. You just really got the sense that they were all friends. The action towards the end was great as well, short lived but executed well enough. The animation may not stand out, it wasn't as good as it was in season 2 but it wasn't a complete downgrade at all. The soundtrack worked well, nothing amazing but it was functional. I also enjoyed the fact that you learn a bit more about the angeloid "sisters" Ikaros, Nymph and Astrea..As well as their world in the sky. I do wish they dove into it a bit more, but the character drama involving Hiyori was certainly the strong point.
I overall loved the movie just as I loved the anime. It didn't feel like filler at all, and came with plenty of action and compelling emotional moments in the end. It dove into the angeloid lure and backstory a bit more, and told a small recap of the story from a different perspective. If you're a fan of the show this is a must watch. Trust me on this, the movie is really. really good. It does of course have its flaws that I mentioned before, but otherwise it's a great watch.
If you agreed give my review a thumbs up! Thanks (:

After watching the first season of Sora no Otoshimono it quickly became one of my favorite anime, which made me excited to move on to the second season: Forte. This season offers a bit more action, but still delivers the same raunchy ecchi comedy and good character drama that I loved in the first season. The only notible change is that this time around, the story tackles more of the "bigger picture" of the angeloids and adds more action than the previous season.
I'm going to be writing this review with the knowledge of already having watched the first season of the show, so if you
...
have not seen season one, go watch it.
Story (8). Like I said earlier, the story doesn't stray too far away from the shows formula of ecchi comedy and human drama with some action. However this time there's alot more action, along with the same antics that we saw previously. The action scenes were gorgeous and very unique, seeing the Angeloids fight was really cool and the fights never dragged on or felt rushed. The action itself was very entertaining as well and I always got hyped when there was a battle going on. The story still offers plenty of ecchi comedy that I found funny as ever. The human drama is explored more as well, Tomoki's relationship with Ikaros, Nymph, Sohara and the newly introduced Astrea, were center stage at some points over the 12 episodes. I do wish I saw more of this though, at some points I feel like the story kinda pushed it aside when it's one of my favorite things about the show. Tomoki's schemes never cease to entertain me and some of the crazy episodes like the snowball fight, and the boob fishing game were some of the best episodes. They weren't completely out of proportions and they fit the show's tone very well. If you enjoyed the first season, you'll like the story here the same if not more.
Animation (9). The animation this time around is even better than it was last season. The colors are bright and vibrant, action scenes look smooth and are well animated, and everything appears to have a bright glow to it. The show just looks very pretty. Being made in 2010, the animation to me is very impressive. No sequences came off as dull and it shows the creators really put all their effort into the show. CG effects like the ocean look good as ever, and angeloid weapons like swords or sheilds light up bright and look gorgeous.
Sound (7). The sounds of the show itself go without saying, crisp and clean with little to no bugs. The voice acting (in english) was spot on, none of the actors sounded annoying and they all fit their characters well with plenty of emotion and charisma. The soundtrack was decent as well, some new music with recycled music from the last season which I actually liked. As I believe I said in my review of season 1 the music didn't blow me away, but during action scenes or emotional scenes the music fit the mood great. The new opening was good, but I still prefer the previous one anyway. The outro song worked well too, nothing amazing but enjoyable at the least.
Characters (8). The same cast of season one returns in this season, along with a few new characters that added something new to this season other than just the continued story. The cast of characters is still small, so nobody gets shunned when it comes to screentime. The new protagonist character, Astrea/Delta is a new angeloid who comes down to Earth. She eventually finds herself becoming friends with the group of kids and becomes one of the main characters. She's a fierce warrior but suffers from being, well, an idiot. This brings more humor into the show, and while she is dumb she's still a very entertaining and interesting character. She might come off as annoying at times but I personally liked her. The new antagonist, Chaos, adds some more depth to the show, adding a (tragic) villian who worked well for the story. She wasn't overused and wasn't extremely powerfull or anythig so she didn't take away from the fun nature of the show. She was a good villian and she brought some good action and suspense to the table as well. The other reoccurring characters like Tomoki, Sohara, Mikako, Ikaros and the others, did what they did in the first season just as well. I liked them all the same and loved seeing their drama unfold. The relationships between them was on point as usual and kept me enetertained. They maintained their unique personalities and had good chemistry as they did before.
Overall, my opinion on this show doesn't change, I still like it alot. I'm personally hoping for a season 3 because the show leaves you wanting to see more, for me at least. Forte adds more action and evolves the character drama along with bringing in some new faces. The animation got better and I overall enjoyed it alot. The story isn't groundbreaking and the characters aren't phenomenal but I still have very few complaints. If you liked the first season you'll feel the same way about this one, if you didn't like the first season then this won't really do much for you unfortunatly.
Thanks for reading! If you agree with me at all give the review a thumbs up (:

This is only one OVA so i'm gonna keep this pretty short and sweet. I already did i review for the first season so there's no need to go over it all again :p
Sora no Otoshimono is a great anime, I had alot of fun watching it and this OVA is nothing special but however it is another edition that adds to my enjoyment of the show. Right away i'll say that I liked how the episode specified where this episode takes place in the story, after episode 13. There's no action and no deep emotional moments, but there's still the same light hearted echi
...
comedy that there is throughout the series. There were alot of funny moments and this felt like just a regular episode. You could tell just by watching that they had fun when they made this episode it definitely shows. It goes without saying that the animation and sound are on point just like it is in the other episodes. It's nice to see some bonus content with some entertaining unique characters and that's what this OVA is good for. Like I said this felt like watching a normal episode and I enjoyed it just as much as the show itself. The ending had a nice touch to it as well which was good, it didn't feel like complete filler.
Overall this was a great edition to the show, it was funny and I enjoyed watching it. I'd recommend watching this if you're a fan of the series, or the first season alone for that matter.
Hope this review helped, give it a thumbs up if you agreed! (:

Sora no Otoshimono came off as a bit weird to me at first....This is my first echi anime so I thought it wasn't going to have substance or a good story. I was wrong.
After I finished the show, the first season rather, I was overall very happy with the show and i'm excited to watch the next season. Like I said the show really surprised me, it had a good story that didn't feel rushed or slow so I was always entertained. There was a good amount of action to mix in with the character drama and general story. It was very lighthearted and comical
...
with serious and emotional moments sprinkled in here and there. Basically it was very entertaining, I honestly never found myself bored with the show at all. However if echi is something that bothers you, this show isn't for you because there is quite alot of it. Personally though it didn't bother me the slightest...I found it funny how they used the echi for the most part in a comidic way. If you like echi this is the perfect show for you. Heaven's lost Property didn't leave me on a high note or anything but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.
Story(8) The story in the show was executed very well. Like I said the show never had pacing issues so it never really felt rushed or went by slow. Most of the story is centered around Tomoki's (the main character) antics and what he does with his group of friends. Tomoki stumbles upon Icarus, an angeloid who acts as his servent. This is what makes the story interesting because she can practically grant his every wish and she lives to serve him. Tomoki however is a high school pervert who does anything he can to peep a girl nude even his friends, this is what makes the story interesting and very funny as well. The relationships between the characters work very well with the story and they act as one of the things that make the story really good. The story isn't anything incredible but it is very unique and entertaining all the same. While all the lighthearted activities are going on there is an over shadowing dark side to the story which helps keep the plot fresh. The last episode in particular really picked up in the action aspect and it was was very satisfying. As i said before the show is a comedy so there's alot of funny moments that will keep you enetertained all the way through.
Animation(9) I'm watching this in 2014 now, for something back in 2009 the animation is very impressive. All the colors are bright and vibrant but not overdone. The character designs are unique but not out of place at the same time. The two angeloid characters had very unique armor designes and they had a cool backstory to them. The action scenes rare as they come were animated perfectly. They were nice to look at and not over exaggerated. All the characters moved very fluently and smoothly so generally it just looked good. The show turns the characters into chibi's very often as well to overexaggerate comedy moments and just add a light hearted funny tone to the story. I do feel they overused the chibi thing a bit but nevertheless it kept the show unique and it worked good for the whole feel of the story. The wide eyed designs of the characters looked nice and the CGI effects looked good as well amd weren't out of place.
Sound(7) This goes without saying, the noises were crisp and clean and sounded good. Funimation outdid itself with the voice casting once again. I thought all the voices were cast perfectly and none came off as annoying to me. The opening track was very very good as well, it fit the show's light hearted tone perfectly and it was a beautiful song. The ending was very good as well and during the endings the show would play a music video type of thing to keep it different. The music didn't amaze me though, The music kind of faded in the background to me and i found myself paying attention to the characters and what they were doing. The music wasn't bad or out of place it's just not very memorable. However this is a small complaint at the end of the day it's not a big deal.
Characters (8) At first the characters didn't seem like much to me, they did grow on me alot though. Tomoki binds the story together with his perverted actions and brought alot of comedy. I could relate to him a bit too because I myself am a highschool student who likes peace and quiet. Icarus is very robotic so part of the story deals with her trying to be more human. This also comes off as a very funny element in the story and she can also be badass at times too. The other side characters work very well too. The show keeps its circle small and aside from Tomoki and Icarus there are 4 other characters. The show focus's the most on Tomoki, yes, but the side characters all get alot of screentime and are developed very well. One of the shows best qualities is the relationships between all the characters. Like any other show the characters have drama and of course this is very interesting without feeling clichè. As I said the supporting cast were all interesting unique characters with good funny personalities. They themselves are not incredibly compelling, but they are developed well and have good chemistry.
Overall I enjoyed the show alot. It didn't leave me on a high note and wasn't amazing but I was satisfied completely. The story was executed smoothly and had a good mix of drama romance and action. The show was very funny and lighthearted while having a unique feel to it. The characters had really good chemistry and I liked all of them. The animation was spot on and the voice acting was very well done as well. The echi didn't bother me and i found it to be funny most of the time, so if you're on the ropes about weather or not its gonna bother you it probably wont. It's not overdone to the point where the story loses quality it basically fits in perfectally. If echi is not your thing at all then I don't know what to say, it's all preference. Fans of comedy and drama will like this as well.
I apologize for the long review :p but please give this a thumbs up if you agreed! (:

Before I begin, I want to say that i'm not basing this review on the movie itself, i'm basing it on what it did differently from the anime. The reason being that the two movies are identical to the anime itself and there are no drastic changes.
If you've watched Death Note you'd know it's a spectacular show, one of the best Anime's out there. The movies don't change that at all, if anything the movies further show how good the series is, as well as fixing some things for the better. If you haven't seen the series, i recommend watching it because it's well worth
...
the time. These movies were made for the people I assume don't have time to watch all 37 episodes. However this show is great and should be watched all the way through, consider these movies more like OVA's for people who already completed the show.
That being said lets begin. Both movies are essentially recaps of the series' two story arcs. Episodes 1-25 are captured in the first movie (Visions of a God), and episodes 26-37 are told in the second movie (L's successors). I'll first say that there is not much new content here, if you've seen the series you're not gonna see anything major that you haven't already watched. Still, both movies are an entertaining time nonetheless.
Visions of a God doesn't do anything major. At times the story can feel a bit rushed but it does help in the sense of eliminating any parts that felt slow during the series itself. It does change a few scenes, one being the way L and Light Yagami first meet. This was done to shorten it, however It doesn't take away from the depth of the story which is good. At the end of the movie there is a scene that we did not see in the anime, and it was cool to see something new. The story itself is told from Ryuk (The Death God)'s POV, I do wish we saw a bit more monologue or we could hear what he was thinking more often during each event. Aside from some other minor tweaks there's not much else to talk about, if you've watched the series or at least the first arc you're really not missing much by skipping this. Regardless i'd recommend it to fans of the show anyway. While it isn't the perfect recap I liked watching it nonetheless and enjoyed myself.
The second movie is the standout in my opinion, improving the second arc that I honestly didn't care for that much in the regular show. In terms of change, L's successors changed much more than Visions of a God did. It didn't change the plot, more or less changed some ways it was told. The movie actually made me appreciate the second arc alot more. There are a couple of parts to the story that are left out, but personally I didn't mind and if you haven't seen the show I don't think you'd realize you're missing much. Anyway, the pacing of the story is alot better than the first movie, even though the second arc is shorter, I didn't feel like the movie ever rushed itself. Just as Visions of a God did, the movie did add some scenes giving a bit more depth. There aren't many drastic changes even though I think the movie told the story of the second arc better than the anime in some ways. There are some things left out but like I said I wasn't bothered by it. Overall I did enjoy this movie more out of the two and It made me like the second story arc better than I initially did so that's a plus.
The movies aren't anything spectacular but I do think they're worth the watch just the same. They do add some cool scenes that we otherwise would've never seen, and the movies eliminate slow pacing issues even though there aren't many to begin with. If you truly don't have the time to watch the anime then this is for you. However if you're at least interested in Death Note i recommend watching the anime before these two specials. The movie had few plot holes but still, the anime is much more vast. Like I said though, the two relight specials are a good enjoyable watch if you're a fan of the series like me.
If you agreed give my review a thumbs up please (: thanks!

The Noragami OVA's or, in this case OAD's were pretty decent. You all know already OVA's are usually fillers and in Noragami's case that concept doesn't change. While they are fillers they're not bad though, they don't really have continuity with the story but there is enjoyment here.
I personally really liked Noragami, and just the same I really liked these OVA's despite the fact that they aren't really story associated. Both episodes take place after the events of the anime i'm pretty sure, and that's actually cool considering OVA's usually happen sometime during the show in between episodes. While it isn't story heavy, the
...
first episode does explore a bit more of the God's lore. The first episode mainly showcases Yato's antics and it's pretty entertaining to see with some appearances from the anime's side characters which is nice to see. The episode wasn't anything special at all, but it entertaining and a fun watch nonetheless. The second episode was better, showing alot of chemistry and interplay between the other God's. While it didn't have action, i really enjoyed seeing the Gods all come together and interact with eachother. The characters are fleshed out a bit more and like I said it's nice to see them all hang out with eachother. There is a bit of a plot twist that makes things a bit more interesting but again it's nothing spectacular. It was funny to see things so light hearted and then take a crazy turn towards the end. The Gods all had funny moments and i'd say that and their interplay together entertained me the most. The animation and sound goes without saying, they are fantastic just as they are in the show.
Overall i enjoyed them, they're nothing that great but I did like them and I don't feel I wasted my time at all. If you liked the show i'd give this a watch. It's full of lighthearted funny moments and further develops the characters of the show.
If you agreed with my review give it a thumbs up (:

Up until today, i've never heard of Noragami. It is relatively new but if my friend haden't asked me to watch this with him i probably wouldn't have seen it for a while. That being said i'm glad i took a couple hours of my time to watch the whole first season in one night. I didn't think much of it at first, it looked cool but I personally didn't think it was going to be anything special. This show surprised me ALOT, this a great anime with very little flaws.
Story (9). The story is great, I love how it took time to develop
...
the characters and relationships without sacrificing action or excitement. The drama between the characters worked good as well very rarely being boring. In the first few episodes I thought the show was going to go one way, and it evolved a great deal molding into a fantastic plot without holes. The story picks up quickly as well, getting right to the point in the first episode and then continuing from there. There are no major plot twists, but there are alot of unexpected actions that happen causing my interest to grow. The story takes time to develop the character relationships and still have a central plot point, then in the last few episodes it introduces the main antagonist. At first glance this wouldn't really work well, but when you see the drama between characters you understand why it was structured like this and you see how it actually works. Each episode isn't just about the drama though, episodes typically have excitement and an obstacle for the characters to overcome while progressing the story simultaneously.
Animation (10). Oh lord, this animation was spot on perfect, bones did a fantastic job making the show look gorgeous. All the characters have vibrant colors and unique and pretty designs. The environments look good and clean as well. The CGI effects aren't overused at all and look perfect where ever they're placed. Water and rain effects look fantastic and blend really well with the overall animation. This is a very colorful series, having unique and bright but real looking characters and creatures. The Phantom creatures look bright and beautiful, very unique as well. The action scene choreography is done perfectly and looks very smooth and fluent. Overall the animation is spot on perfect, everything is pretty and interesting to look at while not being over done.
Sounds (9). This really goes without saying, the sounds are all crisp clean and very interesting in the case of characters using special powers or other supernatural creatures as well. The soundtrack works very well too, the music binds perfectly with fight scenes and doesn't eclipse the action. The intro and outro songs are very good as well, nothing amazing but they set the tone well and I didn't mind listening to it every episode.
Characters (8). The main characters, Yato, Hiyori, and yukine all worked very well and served as great protagonists. Yato is a very likable guy and is humorous as well. He is also a badass and shows that he truly cares for his friends. Hiyori is very good as well, her voice acting performance was great and she brought alot of emotion and depth to the show. Yukine came off initially as annoying, then he grew on me and by the end I liked him alot. This show does a great job at making you care about all three main characters and being concerned about what happens to them. Another thing the show does well involves the antagonists. Being introduced late in the series normally it would feel like they're shoehorned in. In the few episodes they were there they actually made great villains with a decent back story. They really gave Yato a struggle and the show does a good job at making you hate them. The supporting characters were very good as well, they didn't eclipse the main cast but at the same time they all had great unique personalities and brought a great presence to the show. They all got equal screen time for the most part and they had some funny, intense and subtle moments. It doesn't overcrowd you with a shit ton of supporting cast it nails just the right amount. The show also does a great job at developing the relationship between the main characters, they all have really good chemistry and you really get the sense that they're friends. The relationships evolve and change as well and it's very interesting to see unfold.
I just really liked this anime, it surprised me alot and i was glad with the results. The story had good closure as well and had a good subtle ending. It also gave me excitement for the next season. This show is light hearted and funny but at the same time carries a decent amount of emotion and action at the same time. I wouldn't say it mixes the action and comedy but it does a great job at distinguishing it and at the same time binding it together. The episode endings didn't leave me demanding more but i was very interested with the story.
I highly recommend this show i enjoyed it alot and it was very solid all the way through, if you liked my long review (I'm sorry) please give it a thumbs up (:

The Naruto movies aren't anything amazing but they're still somewhat enjoyable. That being said Naruto is one of my favorite anime but even so, i'm gonna give this an honest unbiased review. It's a typical predictable plot with some forgettable characters but plenty of action to enjoy.
Story (6). All of the Naruto movies fall into the same trap, they have a predictable/average plot. Now I wanna say first of all i don't think it's not good just because it's not apart of the main story, for the most part I like filler. However this story didn't deliver anything I haven't seen before. I was actually
...
laughing at some points because I was easily able to predict what was going to happen next. One of the characters was typical as well. I didn't necessarily think the story was bad but obviously it wasn't anything special. It was functional and it had a bit of an unexpected little turn at the very end. The end itself was in typical Naruto fashion so if you're a fan as I am you'll appreciate it. There was one scene concerning the Prince and his wife that happened and usually this plot point would've been revisited at some point toward the end. For some reason they did this scene and that was it, they never came back to it. It was probably made to show more emotion within one of the characters but it didn't make me care anymore than I did already so I still don't see the point of it.
Art (8) The animation was actually very good this being a movie (which usually have better animation than the anime). The characters moved very fluently and the action scenes all looked well done. The environments looked pretty good, just overall it was consistantly pretty throughout. I think this is one of the best qualities of the movie compared to the story and characters.
Sound (7) The soundtrack wasn't that relevant, there weren't too many occasions where the music was played but for what it was I liked the songs when they did play them. A classic OST track was added as well at the end with a slight remix to it which was a nice touch. The outro song/montage was nice as well and I actually liked it. As usual, the general sounds were crisp and clean and nothing bothered me. For the most part everything did what it had to do.
Characters (6). I gave the characters a 6 because watchers of the anime already know Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and Rock Lee...so there's nothing new there and I didn't base the grade on them. The characters they introduced weren't special, forgettable as usual but functional as usual too. The kid I guess would be the "main" character out of the new characters. He came off as very predictable and uninteresting to me, i knew right away he was going to be a bratty scared kid in the beginning and then upon meeting Naruto he changes into a nicer more confident person. The prince (fat guy) was a bit funny to me, he wasn't anything special but worked and didn't really annoy me. The main antagonist though quite possibly has the worst name in Naruto history, i'm not gonna say it i'll leave it up to whoever watches it to see it for yourselves. There were some shinobi involved and they were over confident and weak as usual. They had a cool power but that couldn't convince me Kakashi, Naruto and Lee would lose to them...not by a long shot. The villian from the last movie was alot better in my opinion these villians weren't really good at all. The only thing they were there for was to be fought by Kakashi's team. Watching Lee fight was very entertaining though, and there was a very cool fight scene towards the end involving circus animals and kakashi. They did do a disservice by killing off a few supporting characters that seemed to be cool pretty early on and that was a bit dissapointing.
Enjoymet (7) Like i said earlier i am a Naruto fan after all so in no way did i dislike this movie. In all honesty though I didn't exactly have the same experiance as i did with the regular anime. There were cool action sequences mostly envolving the ending that was nice. The beginning was a bit slow and boring but more towards the middle is when things picked up so I wasn't uninterested. Basically I don't regret watching this at all, but I don't plan on rewatching any time soon really.
Overall this is a decent watch. If you're a fan of Naruto you're gonna probably watch this anyway. If you don't like Naruto I don't see why you'd watch this. Finally if you don't like filler it's up to you whether or not you want to pass this up. Like i said, if you like the show it's not a bad watch. The movie has it's moments and it's not at all terrible, That's about it.
I know this was long and i apologize but if you agreed give my review a thumbs up, hope this helped (:
