A fantasy lovers wet dream of a read.

These light novels have it all monsters, mystical creatures, hero’s, demons, gods, aliens?, human cyborgs? Reincarnations and a not forgetting a spider.

Please note this not a final review as such as the series is on going and currently 1-10 available in English translation. 1-13 in Japanese.

The story gives you that constant I must read more feeling. The style of writing which is in the first person help you immerse into the characters and quickly helps make that connection with them and the bond needed to take characters to next level. In terms of main protagonists there is ... so much growth it great. My only criticisms of this book is it bit slow build up through the first 3 vols and the Tarantino time line is not something every one will enjoy, but from then on out pretty much non stop rollercoaster. If your into fantasy, sci-fi, isekai.
The enjoyment level of this light novel series was up there for me.

The art work of the few illustrations you get each novel are outstanding and something I certainly looked forward to seeing while reading the series so far just help bring the story to life even more.

Overall this series novel for me is a worth 8/10 and can’t wait to read more.

Note there is a manga but it not at same level as the light novels.

Looking forward to anime adaption of this series also and hopefully can live up to the source martial so far.

A Gem among stones?

This anime for me so far has been for sure the hidden gem of the fall season of anime.

Some great art work absolutely love the way they intro the main bunch of characters. But overall the style in general is top notch. 9/10

The story is descent and so far has captivated me to point where I am like have I really just binge 6 episodes in a row because it is so far from boring that it leave you wanting more and more. This anime it gives you enough story to keep you engaged but holds back enough to keep ... you on your seat because you are wanting to see what happens next.

In terms of sound the anime is descent but nothing beyond what you should expect. I can’t say it has my favourite for op or ep but this does not make a show and it not the worst.

The characters seem interesting and again as like I said with story it feeds you enough but there still mystery around them. Hoping there will be some growth here.

In terms of entertainment this show up there. The fight scenes are fantastic and overall this very fast paced so apart from maybe the first couple of minutes it pretty much full on guns blazing.

For sure this show is one to recommend and is worth the time.

Wow I am shocked! I looked at the promo an was like this looks weird as hell and it is going to be really bad, however for me maybe due to lack of other anime being released in the last couple of months due to the unfortunate events in world currently.

This has been the best anime for me released this year currently. This can only be described as echi, psychological, supernatural gem with some great fight scenes. It very much has you hooked the entire 13 episodes and story has great development through out.

Really do hope there is another season in the future.

This ... is for sure one of those where the meaning of don’t judge a book by cover is appropriate.

I love this manga from stunning art work, its characters, the plot development, the Medieval setting, the action scenes and not forgetting the horror fantasy, revenge and romantic elements for me this is a perfect read and found myself purchasing the entire collection very quickly as could not wait to pick up the next book.

The story follows Clare a young Claymore (a half human half Yoma high breed warrior) fighting to protect humans from Yoma (Monsters) for the organisation. This where she meet her future travel companion and romantic interests Raki a human kid (probably more from Raki side).

The story then expands out looking ... at back story’s and other characters past and present. Including what the organisation is all about.

Overall with all the twist and turns and the above mention make this a great read.

If you have seen Claymore the anime series then would recommend you read the manga as it is a level above.

But even if you have not if enjoy good art work and plot development it could be that next great read.

Guilty As Charged!

What can say about this anime, so close to something of perfection.

Beautiful music, eye pleasing animation, a plot that keeps you on your toe’s.
And Characters that grow on you as the season progresses.

This series take you on a dark sci-fi sensation with twist of romance.

Just to spoil it all with what only is to be described as a game of throne ending.
...
Luckily you do not have to spend 8 seasons getting to that point just 22 episodes.

But despite this I still feel that it is overall worth the watch and for sure with all the action packed episodes you will not get board along the journey this animation offers.

An enjoyable, easy watch. (Possible Spoilers)

This anime is set post Fate Stay Night adaptions, But yet must be another alternative route ending to add to list of many. That has not featured in any current adaptions anime, games etc. As most of the spiritual hero’s and the master are living there lives post 5th Holy Grail war like the events were played out to an happy ending.

Emiya-SAN Chi No Kyou no Gohan is so far away from the usual dark fantasy Fate world that we normally see these characters in. The story plots are very basic.

As a Fan of anime’s of more dark fantasy genre ... or that more fasted paced with intense fight screens and those that just keep you on the edge. This not an anime I would normally consider. But did feel nice having a break from the above.

This maybe this is what makes this spins off so great.

The animation is beautiful, you get to see the characters in a very light hearted setting and there comedic values to it.

If your a fan of Fate Stay Night adaption in particular, or cooking anime’s this is for sure an anime for you.

Not sure if I love or hate this anime.

This anime is an emotional rollercoaster, I have been left feeling conflicted, broken.

One thing I can say about this is you will not be left bored.

Not a massive fan of the art style, not sure I care for the plot to much. The music just sucks.

However the things about this anime I loved is the characters, the fast paced episodes and the fact that you just do not no what is going to happen next.

... This is a dark, highly violent, sexualised anime, high level of blood, sweat and tears. This not an over statement.

Feel I now maybe a devil man crybaby!

The Best of the Fate Franchise?

For me yes this is the best I have seen of the many, many anime adaptions that have been released so far for the Fate Franchise.

Note this review is about the series as a whole and not just part 1 or 2.

So to start if you like fantasy, dark magic, sword fights, hot servants then this is for you.

If you have watched any of the Fate stay night adaptions and you have not seen this for sure this is a must watch.

This anime is prequel to the Fate Stay night adaptions and as in most cases with films ... the first instalment is the best. Although the original stay night adaptions was created before this instalment.

What I really enjoyed about this anime is the plot, the character back story’s being able to see before the fate stay night adaptions and more of Saber, who as a Brit love concept behind.

Loved seeing the dark elements and history of the characters.
The art in this anime is exceptional, enjoyable music and fight scenes.

For me this is just a great anime.

Main criticism is the first half of this series can be slow at times, so if your about that constant fast pace anime maybe this not the one for you.

Who will win the 4th holy grail war? Watch it and find out.

Absolute pure anime brilliance, love this anime so much.

Although may not be for every one out there.

So long story short, though I’d check this anime out to see what all the hype was about. Really feel I have not been left disappointed as I have with other over hyped shows out there.

Triggers animation style is for me a enjoyable and a pleasure to the eyes.

Love the music that been chosen, the characters design, the plot, the spectacle of the amazing fight scenes and how this show is so fast paced.

I won’t say did not have my double to start, and it did ... take me a couple of episodes to get into this series, but once did I was hooked and for sure this now one of my favz.

What really do appreciate and what make this show so good for myself is the fact that it so intense and over the top, genius. Feel the thought and effort that has gone in the this from studio is amazing to make something that is so flamboyant but works so well.
